Just to expand on @AwesomO4000: There's an old cautionary tale adults used to tell boys of a certain age that they'd grow hair on their hands if they touched themselves inappropriately. It's another lie adults told children to scare them so they wouldn't engage in certain activity. I don't think it gets much play these days, but was fairly well known back in the '80s. These first few seasons of this show has a sort of time warp quality/timeless quality about it. The music, a lot of the pop cultural references and such are from the mid-'80s--which is the childhood of the show creator, Eric Kripke--but yet it still feels like a show of it's time. It's a really interesting duality to the show that I really like.

They wrote and recorded the dialog a year ago, I don't think they knew enough about what was happening in S13 yet to be able to do this.

It's so sad to hear that Allison ended up in a cult. I don't know what she did or what was done to her--and TBH I don't really want to know; cult behavior is extremely unsettling to me--I just hope she, and everyone else who found themselves in the cult, can find themselves in a better place in the future.

Jinkies indeed! Well, that was fun. I don't think it matters if you're a Scooby fan or not as I can't say I'm a fan particularly, but really enjoyed this. I think they found a perfect balance between the two shows and got in an old fashioned ghost hunt too boot. What more can you ask for? It was a fun break from all the taking-themselves-far-too-seriously they've done lately. Kudos to both Scooby Doo and Supernatural teams!! They really pulled out a win here.

Apparently, you just can't show the actual cutting off the head, but can show the gruesome remains. Standards and Practices makes no sense.

I think we'll pick up some viewers just for the nostalgia and out-of-the-box factor, but it's spring and ratings don't usually pick back up until the final few episodes. So, I'm also guessing a 0.6 with a slight up tick of viewers. I think the DVR and social media numbers will be really good, though. BTW, I'm excited for the episode. I'm ready for a lighthearted and fun break, myself.

What makes you think Sam wasn't successful in his situation? Didn't seem to me he was unsuccessful. He didn't get a memo from the ghost. It seems to me he was unsatisfied with the job--just as Dean was in his job--but that doesn't mean he was unsuccessful. Success isn't determined by whether you have an office or not. ETA: It seems clear you think tech support is a lowly job that's beneath Sam--which you're entitled to your opinion; I'm of the opinion that there are no lowly jobs, just lowly employees--but have you considered some of your fellow posters may work in tech support? Just something to consider.

Well, actually, Dean first called her Baby in S2, not S1, but the fans had already dubbed her Metallicar by then. I wouldn't say there is an "official" name. In show, she's called "The Impala" far more than anything--Dean calls her his baby from time to time, though--but fans have really glammed on to "Baby" in recent years.

I'm not going to read that post, but I don't find it contradictory. Storylines change, get dropped or don't get the resolution a writer wants for many reasons, doesn't mean they hate or prefer the character. Sometimes things just don't work out.

It was you who said Sam had the loser job, so I think there was an element of whose job was better or worse for you, but I don't think I am misunderstanding you. I just happen to disagree that Dean's job fit his personality any more than Sam's fit his. And, IMO, that was the point; they weren't supposed to fit their personalities. TBH, I think Dean would've been more satisfied in tech support where there were people to interact with and he was part of a team instead of being stuck behind a desk by himself all day. And, I think Dean would've found worth in helping people with their technical problems even if their technical problems weren't all that difficult since a big part of Dean's personality is his need to help people. That's not to say they both would've been totally satisfied if their jobs were reversed, but IMO, the angels put them both in positions that would ensure they would find their way out of those jobs and back to hunting which is what the angels wanted.

I don't think Dean's job was really any better than Sam's. They were both repetitive and boring corporate jobs. Sam's was tech support where he answered the same questions everyday and Dean's was sitting behind a desk, alone, filing out paperwork everyday. I think they purposely put them in jobs that would make sure they both were unsatisfied in some way so they would start questioning what was going on around them as a way to engage themselves in the hunt. Basically, the angels stacked the deck to make sure they got the outcome they wanted. But, I wouldn't say that Sam was in a "loser" job. At least he had a job.

She's really only key to the stupidity of getting Jamie and Ian all worked up and thinking that Roger raped Brianna. But, I'd be pretty pleased if they reworked that whole sequence. Other than that, she's more just someone for Brianna to talk to on her trek across the ocean, more than anything.

I think they're simply holding out to make the announcement a big deal. I don't think it's about stringing fandom along, but about turning it into an event of some sort this time. I could be they're planning a two-year and done renewal or it could have to do with the fate of Wayward Sisters and them wanting to announce them both together? I really don't know, but I don't feel like I'm being strung along for ratings purposes. I'm not sure how a renewal would affect ratings anyway.

One can only hope! They're pretty dumb to have embraced him in the first place, if you ask me.

I think it's a God/Amara/Death for every universe. I think the multi-verse sets up infinite universes of infinite possibilities. I imagine there's a universe out there where God didn't lock up his sister, but the reverse happened and a universe where God doesn't exist at all. I also imagine there's a universe where God never left Heaven and a universe where God and Lucifer worked out their differences so there are no demons...and etc.

Serves them right. If they can't come up with something more clever than a syringe, they deserve to get the syringe themselves. ;)

For me the difference between Michael and Lucifer is that Lucifer had already been locked in the cage for centuries and Micheal wasn't prepared for the experience like Lucifer was. Plus, imagine if you've spent centuries preparing for the a fight only to be ushered off the field before it ever started and locked in a cage. I think it'd be a pretty crushing blow to one's ego. Remember, Micheal has really only been in the cage for a few years. I imagine the first few years Lucifer was in the cage the first time weren't pretty either--but he had centuries to pull himself together. Micheal may not be as bad off as Chuck led us to believe, he just might need the right motivation to pull himself together.

The only reason I can't see it being AU Yellow Eyes or any of the other big time demons is that Jensen says Dean steps up in a big way...which, to me, means consent and demons don't need consent to possess someone. Plus, I don't see any demon being able to take out AU Michael at this point. He's way too powerful. If an AU demon could've taken out AU Michael, I think they would've done it long before now. Asemodeus is the most powerful demon in our universe and I would doubt even he could stand toe to toe with AU Michael.

I believe we they were discussing AU Azazel.

Oh, I don't know whose spec that is, but it definitely wasn't mine. It could work, but I'm not sure I see it happening, myself. Micheal is the only one I see it happening with, but then I think it's also too obvious. I have no other spec who it could be, though.

If you ask me, I think they both had misaligned expectations of what their relationship was. I think she really wanted to relationship to go somewhere and Dean, on the other hand, just wanted to have fun knowing that they would be leaving soon anyway and he'd probably never see her again. I think he set up the make out session in the closet purposely because she was getting too serious--wanting him to meet her parents and such--and thought this would be a way to cool things off. I think he thought it would be easier for her to think of him as a jerk than to just be honest with her that he didn't want the same things she did. But then she embarrassed him in the hallway instead of slinking away quietly, so he had to stand up for himself. It's kinda typical teenage drama, IMO, but I think it's a time that Dean looks back and isn't proud of himself in how he handled the situation. Which we all have those moments we didn't handle things as well as we'd have liked to and look back on it with regret, but that's how we learn and grow.

While I never wanted to see Michael-in-a-Dean and I had hoped the show had moved on from either Winchester being possessed by egotistical archangels, I can't decide if it means something completely different or not because it seems way too obvious. But, sometimes that's how the show rolls, so... .
