  1. Someone above posted a spoiler about the fortune teller. It explains a lot. And the hats! Things are about to get a whole lot stupider.
  2. The fact that Chuck stands back and watches it happen is one of the big reasons why I think it's scripted. Family Libby is trying to be like Family Chantel, only they lack the comedy and absurdness.
  3. Not sure I can watch it anymore. The "fortune teller" segment was fake and a setup. (I don't think Michael was in on it, though.) I'll eat a toe if ANY of Family Libby's drama is real (except I do believe that Charlie is a raging coke head). I'm sure the "nanny" is a close friend who Libby and Andrei have played to play a part. Yara's 'Ukrainian Christmas' setup was fake. I think she and Jovi watched previous seasons and decided that they needed to produce more drama and the best, and cheapest, way was to fight with family. What we saw was probably a re-creation of the actual event. IDGAF about Brandon and Julia. The only person I care about is Daniel and, unfortunately, I DO think that both of his "parents" are emotionally manipulating him.
  4. The way Michael/Angela talk to each other vs Yara/Gwen... Angela is mean and loud and I think it's mostly for attention. She graduated from the Jerry Springer School of Communication and it's toxic. I think 90% of Gwen and Yara's communication is teasing. They gripe and complain, but most of the time they're laughing while they're doing it. Gwen's appeared on Yara's SM more than Jovi and I think it's cute as hell. I'd much rather watch them bitch about Yara's "laziness" (she can't be THAT lazy considering she's basically raising a baby alone 2 hours away from anyone she knows) than to watch the trashy Potthasts pile on Andrei. They're acting like Jovi's new condo is in the middle of nowhere. It's not.
  5. Mike doesn't have to be there for insurance reasons. She may be on his plan, but it's still her policy and she'll have her own card. She is responsible for the bill, not him. Jovi has only been home for 5 months in a 12-month period and those 5 months were not consecutive. Honestly, as long as they're renting then I think Yara should have full say in housing. She's the one who has to actually live there. For Jovi it's not much more than a long-term hotel.
  6. Discovery+ shows the entire episode early. TLC shows a preview on Friday. I FF through the awful Potthasts. Mike was getting on my nerves, too. He most likely wasn't allowed in the hospital until after her surgery was finished and we have no idea what her signal or phone situation was like. My dad has cancer and has been in a hospital and rehab facility for over a year. He's had 3 surgeries since September. I wasn't allowed inside until after each surgery was complete. My son also has cancer. Although each one has its own policies, hospital restrictions are tight.
  7. Georgi/Darcey vs Kyle/Noon is some of the funniest shit I've seen in a long time. My son was hooting. And Georgi has 0 sense of humor.
  8. Now that you mention it, I've never had one with fresh pineapples... I really prefer this setup over all the gimmicks and challenges they usually have. Especially Junior when they waste all that food in them.
  9. As someone who's been a full-time freelance writer with steady work for the past 12 years I'm also side-eyeing Jane's big plan. She seems to live in the Carrie Bradshaw world of writing-where a few articles a month will net her designer clothes, entry into hopping clubs, and unrealistic living arrangements. I didn't know that I could've just been traveling around the world, writing what I wanted, all this time. /s More than half of the freelancers out there are names that have been in publishing for years, if not decades. NYT bestsellers, high-profile journalists, Pulitzer winners... People with a huge list of bylines that are far more impressive than Jane's. But, then again, Jane IS superwoman so...
  10. Yeah, I know we have to suspend belief watching this, but Kat becoming editor in chief (recently fired by the same company and no writing/editing experience) is a bit much even for THIS show.
  11. He's mostly known for his stage acting and he's won a lot of awards. I saw him in several productions (most notably the West End's The Woman in Black which is still the best live production I've ever seen) before his big breakout roles in Shakespeare in Love & Elizabeth. I know his brother Ralph gets most of the attention, but I've always had a soft spot for Joe.
  12. I half expected a dream reveal because very few of these outcomes were based in reality.
  13. At one point during judging Ramsay said that this was a challenge about "following directions", or following a recipe, but I was under the impression that it was about communication. The people who added shit to their dishes seemed genuinely confused that they weren't allowed to change it. The one fish 'n chips guy even told Blue Hair Sous that he was adding stuff and BHS was like, *shrug* "Okay." I would not have gotten Philly cheeseteak from the one recipe. My 14yo son and I argued for 5 minutes over the knife and loaf of 🍞. I told him it was breadcrumbs for meatballs, but he was convinced that, with the ground beef and tomatoes, that it was meatLOAF.
  14. Lol, I was going to share that image when I first posted but I was afraid it would cause nightmares. Seriously, what kind of dirt did they blackmail these actors with?
  15. My favorite part of the episode was trying to figure out the recipes. I wish they'd have shown a shot of the recipe next to the 2 dishes.
  16. The Yara drama is totally made up. She and Jovi's family have a good, healthy relationship and teasing and bickering is just how they get along. His mother and grandmother love her. I think the whole couch scene lasted all of 10 minutes. I love her social media videos with Gwen and I'd watch a show of them being roommates. Yara has no storyline without Jovi there so "Princess Yara" it is. If she were really the prima donna that the show makes it seem then Gwen would have a far different attitude.
  17. I'm loving Larry and Jenny and how boring they are. They're both a little flat but they seem to genuinely love each other and appear to work as a team. I'm really rooting for these two.
  18. And if she was expecting a delivery then why TF wasn't she dressed? (Hopefully the robe part is true at least.)
  19. She was a go go dancer. It's different from stripping and we don't really have the equivalent in the US. They basically hire hot women who can seriously dance to work the floor in the nightclub or they might have them standing on a pedestal. Their job is to get everyone else to dance. They're more or less there for motivation. But yeah, totally different kind of dance for a gym that's probably looking for Zumba.
  20. Crap. I'm on 3% and will miss chatting about Julia's "dancing." Night all! This is how the daughter and puppy now sleep. They're my trash TV watching buddies (along with you all).
  21. Yeah, kitten BGL is much cuter than its human counterpart. We also have a Kreenie and a Mr. Meester.
  22. I run a kitten rescue and we got new ones in. Meet Andrei, Corney, Zied, Pole, and Baby Girl Lisa.
  23. Same. She's being a bitch but she's also not wrong. Sadly, Daniel is the only adult amongst them.
  24. When she was a toddler my daughter had the same look when she wanted me to pick her up.
  25. And everyone but me seems to do a lot of "entertaining."
