  1. Sounds like Gwen would get along with grifter Hillary Hayward-Thomas, born in Boston but pretends she's Spanish, aka Hilaria Baldwin.
  2. We went to see Air Supply not too long before covid hit. We went to it for nostalgia and kind of as a joke but we ended up loving every minute of it. Knew every song. Audience full of men and women singing every word. We'd totally see them again! I grew up as a hairband girl in the 80s but I can't wait for this special! I still love this kind of music!
  3. Just for the record, I still tune in occasionally and there is still plenty of that stuff.
  4. Loved everything except Pete. He added nothing and mostly just laughed. There were several times my husband and I were almost in tears from laughing so hard. A couple times I remember were "dead" Sean rolling away from Jason giving him CPR and the naked sports guy, esp when trying to hug Jason. He's really a ginger! The "caw caw caw" was a nice callback to Arrested Development.
  5. Agree. She's also trying to combat misinformation because the conspiracy theorists have been lying about his cause of death and the vitriol toward her has been disgusting. I don't blame her for wanting to get the real cause of death out there.
  6. Wouldn't Steve also be sending home large amounts of money so his father wouldn't need to keep working?? I've read that Steve was very "charming" but I'm not getting that vibe in the show. I did crack up at the scene of Irene dancing wildly after the cocaine!
  7. Looks like 3 days: Fans mourning the I Want Candy singer shared the clip, pointing out the exchange occurred three days before his death.
  8. Her arms trapped inside that costume set off my claustrophobia. Eeks! Also, I hope it is an easy unzip or something because what about the bathroom??
  9. There is an article in the Abby and Will thread that confirms they were in separate rooms.
  10. Character development is good but perhaps it would work better with longer episodes so SOMETHING actually happens in an episode.....
  11. People are also analyzing a clip of Harry possibly spitting on Chris Pine (while Harry's half tucked collar is triggering some of our OCD tendencies)....
  12. FYI, we watched it on Hulu last night with no issues so I hope it was a temporary glitch for you!
  13. By all appearances, the Wagners have been quite close in recent years so hopefully they are leaning on each other for support too. Jack has been sober since 2006 (as far as I've heard him say), so I hope he has a lot of support in that area as well.
  14. Devastating news: Jack and Kristina Wagner's son has died at age 27.
  15. Fair point! LOL - I love your revolution but sorry about those consequences!
  16. I've always thought this show handled the 80s pretty well but I was in high school in 1986 and so much of the school stuff seemed ridiculous* and took me out of it. No one ever got up onto a cafeteria table and started spouting off at others. The long-haired guitar dudes were NOT the same kids playing D&D. No way in hell was a kid making a pot leaf in shop class during the "just say no" era. They were doodling it on book covers and bathroom stalls for sure, but no teacher was allowing that. Aside from that we're excited to see where it goes next. *at least where I grep up in western Massachusetts
  17. Fantastic show! When are they planning to air season 2? Based on that preview, it looks like it is already filmed?
  18. A friend recommended the book Ultimate Prey by Stephen Sanzeri about this case. Sanzeri is an ex-cop and bounty hunter/PI. The book is self-published and could REALLY use some editing but it was still pretty interesting and cheap to buy (3.99). There was a lot of evidence that Cary did not act alone and had help but it was never pursued. Worth reading if the case interests you and the book is a quick read.
  19. I'm glad to finally see some posts. I hope this show gets traction! I didn't know about it until a friend who is a fan of the books got Apple+ specifically to watch it. I haven't read it but she says it's an excellent adaptation so far.
  20. Loved Stephanie's dress! The only thing that would've been better is if her shoes were dyed to match the dress. (I say that as someone who attended a prom in 87, 88 and 89. 🤣🤣)
  21. Yikes! In 2011, Pam Hupp and her friend Betsy Faria, who was suffering from terminal cancer, collected money for another family affected by cancer without that family being made aware of the collection. Pam and Betsy went door to door passing out flyers and reportedly collected $10,000. The flyer had a picture of the Murphy Family from their Christmas card and stated that this would be James Murphy's wife Laura's last Christmas. The real Pam Hupp (left) came up with a scam to collect money for a family battling cancer and then keep the money. Actress Renée Zellweger (right) plays Hupp in the miniseries. In researching The Thing About Pam fact vs. fiction, we learned that Betsy was indeed thrilled to be helping another family affected by the disease that was killing her. She saw her role in the collection as a way she could be remembered after she was gone. The problem was that Pam had gone behind the Murphys' backs and exaggerated Laura Murhpy's story for her own financial gain. While Laura Murphy did have cancer, she wasn't on her deathbed (she actually survived two more Christmases). No evidence was found to suggest that Betsy had any knowledge that Pam intended to keep the money instead of giving it to the family. -FOX 2
  22. Here's the recording of the 911 call. Her calls of "help" really were that pathetic.
  23. Some interesting speculation here and in the comments too. What Is Lumon Industries Up To?
