  1. Yea honestly the plot doesn't hold up to a lot of scrutiny. Another question is how Elsa got to the north mountain so quickly on foot, while Anna/Kristoff took so long with horse/reindeer. But then I look at how cute it is and how catchy the songs are and I throw all logic out the window. In merch news, I went back to the Disney Store in order to get that elusive Elsa mug and once again they had none. In fact, they were out of Anna mugs. In fact, they were out of everything Frozen related. Not a single item. I knew I should have gotten a second Anna mug.
  2. Yea when she pulled out the hammers I was like "oh noes," but then she started using both ends of them and I was like "oh god!"
  3. Just got out of The Raid 2. The first half is kinda more of the same but the second half has some really cool fights. The three henchmen in particular have same amazing sequences. My favorite is the guy with the aluminum bat. The Furies in The Warriors have nothing on this guy.
  4. Some great names being dropped. I was thinking about putting this Jo Chen cover in the Favorite Covers topic. I really enjoy Deodato as well. I think I've heard critique over his heavy use of shadows, but I love them. Also how he draws hair and eyes.
  5. I haven't seen The Tudors so I was a bit worried that they were aging her up so much, but she has been a delight so far.
  6. I agree that the clothing is amazing. I wish we had more scenes of Elsa in her capeless coronation(I keep typing out conoration...I blame you Anna) dress, but with her hair down. That was her best look. Also has anyone else run into this problem? http://jezebel.com/frozen-merch-is-sold-out-everywhere-and-parents-are-los-1561331628 I wanted to get a friend an Elsa coffee mug for her bday but I can't find any anywhere.
  7. Cool topic! I'm always on the lookout for characters who have that tricky balance of not being defined by their ethnicity, but not having it totally ignored either. Sidenote: I read something about how minorities are actually over-represented on TV compared to actual population ratios in the US. I wasn't sure if that was just some guy talking out of his ass or what though. I'm always clamoring for more diversity in TV, but I live in a pretty diverse metro area. I wonder if people in other parts of the country watch it and think "Mostly white. Yup. Looks about right."
  8. I enjoy Dave as much as the rest of the cast on Happy Endings. My enjoyment levels of How I Met Your Mother cast goes Barney>>>>Ted>Robin>>>>Marshall/Lily.
  9. I hope they have Bronn abandon Tyrion. He is such a show watcher favorite, it would be devastating.
  10. My god I loved Margaery's wedding hair. No wonder Cersei was jealous.
  11. I'm a bit hazy on the timing of Jamie's arrival in SoS. Does he show up after the duel? Why isn't he discussed as a option for Tyrion's champion.
  12. I totally agree on the action scenes JayKay. What confuses me is some reviewers either not caring for the action (Grantland), or not even addressing it at all (PCHH). I wonder why they bother reviewing movies that obviously aren't their cup of tea.
  13. As someone who adores both the Parent Trap and Freaky Friday (remake) I want to watch this show, but my appreciation of pre-train wreck Lindsay prevents me from doing so. What are the chances that Dennis Quaid, Liam Neeson (stand in for Natasha Richardson), Jaime Lee Curtis and Mark Harmon show up for an intervention? That would get me to tune in.
  14. I enjoy pretty much all of James Jean's covers on Fables. I've always been partial to this one though
  15. I kind of want a non-MMO version of this game. I love the characters in KoToR I and II and it seems like ToR has some fun sidekicks to roll with, but I can't invest the time that MMO's require to find/recruit/befriend them all.
  16. What comic book artists are your favorites? Personally I'm a big X-Men fan and so I'm excited that one of my favorites has been drawing for them recently (even if the stories are hit or miss.) Stuart Immonen
  17. God I loved seeing Jonah suffer.
  18. I enjoyed it as well. One thing that was missing from Captain America I and The Avengers is them giving Cap sweet action sequences. He never really showcased his strength/speed/skill before this film. Falcon and Black Wids were also fun to watch. I didn't really care for the extended CGI sequences near the end.
  19. Yea I agree with jeansheridan the weirdest thing about bringing Jamie back early is that (so far) there's been no Tyrion-Jamie bonding. Which is especially weird since Jamie has been complaining about other Lannisters AND Jamie has always been the only Lannister that has been kind to Tyrion. You'd think he'd be excited to see him back. Didn't he say he was back for weeks?
  20. Squeee! Kristen Bell is amazing. I never even watched Veronica Mars. All three times I saw it in theaters there were audible gasps. I too was surprised. I thought they would go the Enchanted route and hook him up with Elsa, James Marsden style.
  21. +1 for Team Oberyn. I think part of the reason that I like the Tyrells and Martells is that they're so progressive in their mindsets about gender and sexuality. Definitely not just you. Same with all the Slave City stuff. For the first time in forever, all my favorite characters are in the same city and I want more of them interacting.
  22. It's ridiculous how much Tywin looks down on his children. I love it. He's had one of the best fighters, one of the most appealing brides and one of the smartest people in Westeros and he just nitpicks at their faults all day. If he was my dad I would have offed myself as a teen.
  23. Closed the poll now that Season 4 is underway! I'll do another one after the finale to see if/how the standings shake up.
