  1. Listening to the ehg crew gush over the premiere of Walking Dead is like listening to a Shakespearian tragedy.
  2. I haven't read preacher since the early 00s, but man that story gets crazy quickly. Also gross. Very very gross.
  3. My understanding is the mid credits scene was a scene from the new X-men movie. Some sort of cross studio deal. Very strange. I had really low expectations for this movies but I enjoyed it even less than I thought I would. I actually defended the first ASM from some of it's detractors as well. +Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield continue to be more charming than KD/TM. +Clock tower sequence. Even though I knew how it would end, I was still super invested during it. -Parts of the score were REALLY distracting to me. Hans went super heavy on the horns for dramatic build up. That "for youuuu" song in the middle of the film seemed so out of place to me. -Two villains, but neither are compelling. Electro in particular has some really cheesy dialogue. Something about birthday cake and candles? Non-Gwen+Peter plot lines weren't interesting in the slightest. Sooo much Richard Parker screen time. -Spidey-action wasn't as fun as the first film. He didn't get to showcase his acrobatic fighting style against a villain made of electricity. That final teaser scene against the Rhino had more impressive spidey action than the rest of the film. -Some sloppy CG/green screen work. The background when they're on top of the bridge in particular looks terrible. Complaints only I care about: *No Gwen Stacy headband. *Gwen's polkadot pants at Oscorp. *Harry's feminine scarf.
  4. Upon first watch I thought that was a cool scene, but the CGI has really not stood the test of time. After seeing it more recently, I think it might be one of the worst looking fights in the series. Unlike the CGI fight in The Matrix Revolutions, it's brightly lit so the computer generated aspect of it is even more obvious. Additionally, it serves no purpose. Neo doesn't defeat any Smiths and the Smiths don't make any progress with taking down Neo. He should have just flown away from the get go. Lastly, I thought it was bit too silly to include a bowling pin noise when he knocks down the Smiths.
  5. I'm not sure if Jurassic Park qualifies as a stupid movie but I saw it 6 times in theaters and I almost never see movies more than once in theaters (2nd Place is Frozen with 3 theater views) and will watch it whenever it's on. I will watch it if it ever comes on tv and have even seen it twice on Telemundo despite having spotty Spanish comprehension.
  6. So much so that the art gets fed up sometimes
  7. I agree on JGL in Inception. It made me go to the department store and check out a suit. Then I realized how out of my price range it was and left sad.
  8. I love that Hulk cover. My interest in Spider-Man comes and goes (I guess I'll watch the new movie?), but I've always loved this cover.
  9. Now that some time has passed since RapeGate 2014. I'm not sure what to think of Jaime going forward. When the scene happened I was pretty upset since Jaime is one of my favorite characters in the show and in the books. I tried to explain it away with poor editing/directing and that made it look non-consensual. But no. It wasn't. Somehow last week's episode made it worse. His scenes with Tyrion and Bronn are so lighthearted and breezy. It makes him come off as more of a sociopath to do that and then just go and hang out with the boys. And then his interaction with Cersei is doubly worrisome. Not even a mention? I'm not sure if he's ruined forever for me (I guess we'll see as the show goes on) but he's definitely knocked out of the top of my personal power rankings.
  10. I've only read the first trade, but that first story with the Samaritan is one of my favorite Superman stories. Even though it doesn't even have Superman in it.
  11. As suggested by Constantinople in the Lannister thread (Most interesting house has most replies, meanwhile this is the first reply in the Stark thread) House Stark Rankings
  12. So much Lannister haterade in here. Lets rank the Starks. Oh wait they're all boring or dead. Too soon?
  13. I'm one of the biggest defenders of super-powered teen romps, but I agree with Willowy that it's not that special. For a niche audience? Yes. For mass appeal? Not so much. That being said. I do enjoy it. It's a super-powered teen romp after all. Also I really like Molly Hayes and Alex Wilder.
  14. Finally found some Frozen merch at the Disney Store. It was some kids clothes and beach towells. Obviously the clothes wouldn't fit me, but I sat there for about 5 minutes weighing the social shame I would get for having a pink beach towel with two Disney princesses on it with my need for Frozen stuff. Thankfully my reasoning won out and I walked away. Also someone upscaled some scenes from Frozen to 60FPS. They look great. For the First Time In Forever Reprise Love is an Open Door
  15. My sister watches this show and I've caught an episode or two here and there. It took her about 10 minutes of explaining and 2 episodes for me to understand what was happening in the Lance family. I'm so used to Dinah=BC that it was hard for my brain to get used to these other ones running around. Has there been any indication from the creators why they made the Lance family so different while most everyone else is the same?
  16. Oh just thought of whammy of a UO. Michael Scott isn't one of my favorite characters on The Office and I quit watching around season 5 and picked it back up again after I heard he left.
  17. I posted this in the preview topic but was it just me but did it seem like I got a phone call and was distracted by that scene.
  18. My favorite episodes are the ones where they are competing or fighting with each other. A lot of them have been mentioned already, but I also like the Thanksgiving football game.
  19. Lady crush: Scarlett Johansson Man crush: Chris Evans Watching Winter Soldier was a confusing (but hot) experience
  20. Oh god. That would mean I would have to start watching that show. I quit due to terrible kid acting.
  21. Just rewatched season 2 which is probably my favorite season. I really got sick of Jim/Pam near the end but they're so cute in this season. The end of Casino Night still moves my usually frozen heart. However, I really don't care for The Office Olympics. Michael is off with Dwight on an uninteresting adventure and Jim/Pam are fooling around in the office, but none of it is particularly funny or even endearing. Just random office games.
  22. This is mine. You pretty much nailed why I love it. It's one of like 3 moments in TV to get me to tear up. That episode depicts grief so well. I also really enjoy when the soldier comes to see Matt and Matt gets all riled up when the soldier calls him a funny guy.
  23. That clip of Margaery and Olenna I hope they don't go that direction.
  24. Yea show Stannis is a bit off, but I still find him fascinating due to his reasoning behind wanting to rule. He's not simply power hungry, he thinks he should be king because that's what the rules say. I think if he found out that there was someone else who had a better claim to the throne, he'd throw his weight behind that person.
  25. I've checked a few times, but not willing to pay more than double the original cost on principal (also I'm poor.)
