Phyllis is a liar and a loon. And despicable. And manipulative and pathetic. My gosh I haven't despised a character this much in a very long time. And not in a love-to-hate kind of way, either. If the writers ultimately have Diane playing a long con in order to prove Phyllis right, I'll be done with this show.

I thought today was really well done. Everyone was wonderful. RIP Sonya Eddy. Also, I had just read the interview @DanaK posted in the GH In The News thread before watching today's episode. I was already feeling grateful that Genie Francis, Tristan Rogers, Kristina Wagner and Kin Shrine had persevered after so many years of shit writers and hateful producers and more than one egomaniacal actor who thought the show should revolve around them ... And then to see Laura and Robert hugging outside of GH, and Anna and Felicia with grown up Emma, and Robert and Emma! It makes me happy and gives me great comfort that they are still willing to be here for us to enjoy.

Victor saying to Nikki that Jack and Diane would blow up was a strange choice of words, so I wonder if there is going to be an explosion, as someone upthread first speculated? Nina and Danny and Danny's sister (sorry, don't remember her name) were before my time, so I've only ever seen them as brief guests. They are infinitely more interesting than many of the regulars. I so wish Victor, Nikki, Victoria and Nick (along with Phyllis) would be sent off into the sunset so these other families could come back to town. I'd love to see them interact with and give more screentime to Tracy, Michael and Lauren. Phyllis needs an emergency intervention with a mental health specialist. The way she was clapping was fucking bizarre and unhinged and the townspeople should be worried for their safety.

Chloe looks great. Phyllis is pure projection. Her narcissism and megalomania is disturbing, repulsive and disgusting. I really wish they would just kill her off. This character is simply incapable of self-reflection, and I seriously doubt she will face any comeuppance. There's enough of these people in real life; it would be nice to have a break from this type in my entertainment. Also, Nick rubbing Sally's stomach? Puke.

No kidding! It was very off-putting. And I will never understand how Eric Braeden became to be-all, end-all of leading men on this show. He was skeevy AF back then and hasn't gotten any better.

They did interviews with Lauralee Bell, Melody Thomas Scott and Eric Braeden (of course) and did an white erase board showing the marriages and affairs between the Newmans and the Abbotts. They showed quick clips of Nikki as a stripper and then as a corporate executive, Victor and Jack, Neil and Dru, Phyllis and Nick, Michael and Lauren, Lily and ??, Jill and Katherine, Devon and Abby, Doug and Christine, two people I didn't recognize from the early days ... and perhaps one or two others? The clips were very short. I could have done without an interview with that gasbag Braeden. He was pontificating about how soaps are underappreciated and then says he doesn't give a damn what people think. Go on then, Mr. Thinskin.

I didn't catch Stark's little bottles, but might it be truth serum? He and Lips have a plan to assault and drug Diane to get her to confess to past crimes? It would be right up this show's alley to do such a stupid story.

Elena - who looked fabulous - showed up at the very end to see Victoria holding Nate's hand. Audra sidled up behind her to stoke her (justified) paranoia. Who is this Leanne person? Tucker looked as bored with the gala as I was. I was hoping for better. It was great to see the GCAC again, though. I sincerely hope that Victor doesn't prevail over Devon and Tucker. There's no reason at all that Devon couldn't have Tucker's company and retain an interest in HW.

I don't understand the masks. Adam, Devon, Daniel, Michael and Tucker look nice. Sharon (except for her hair), Sally, Abby, Ashley, Jill, Lily, Diane, Summer, Mamie and Traci look great! Nikki on the other hand looks washed out and dull. Victoria looks awful. Has Nikki always been a snooty social climber? The way she and Victoria scattered off to say hello to the Lt. Governor was grasping and gross. Phyllis is so pathetic and manipulative. Also, when did she become a creepy walking wax figure? This sounds vaguely familiar. Was it something Chloe and Sally, or Chole and Chelsea, were going to do for a magazine shoot or something? And they promised to put everything back exactly the way it was afterwards?

Our surveillance society is pretty creepy when you stop and think about it. Honestly I can't believe how many people pay to have spy machines like Alexa in their homes, agree to let Facebook track their every online interaction, give TikTok insights into every aspect of their behavior, etc. No thank you.

Congrats on your new kitty! I'm a big cat lover and am happy to be with others of my kind. I also missed most of the show and was wondering if it was worth watching online ... but I'll probably skip it. No way would it be half as good as @NinjaPenguins recap!

The author of that piece is saying what I've been feeling for over a decade. I'd like to say it's unbelievable that they've inserted Carly's useless ass into the Ice Princess story but sadly it's not surprising. But it is insulting to the extreme that Laura Collins, Anna Devane and Robert Fucking Scorpio would need or want any help from that hag. They did a similar story when Tamara Braun was Carly. I don't remember any of the details, only that she discovered a speakeasy or something. But it doesn't matter to me - anything that gets her and Drew out of the stories I'm interested in is fine by me.

Today was especially stupid. I don't even remember how the show ended out of annoyance that the arbitrator didn't throw Jill out of her hearing room. On another subject, a few people have speculated that Phyllis's stupidity would result in Diane getting hurt or killed. But I wonder if something is going to happen to Summer or Daniel instead. I'm actually a bit concerned for Daniel given that his whole reason for coming back to GC has essentially been taken over by Chelsea. I like Daniel a lot and will be really unhappy if he gets killed off because of his psychopathic mother.

Agreed! One of the things I love about this thread is all the hilariously on-point nicknames. Also, I'm still laughing at @NinjaPenguins describing how Chelsea knows it's Billy at the door before seeing him, because of her papers being sucked toward the entrance. Jokes about Billy's nostrils will always be funny!

Late to the party but still wanted to reply ... Does he like old shows and movies? Would he agree to a Roku or Firestick to watch Pluto, Freevee, Tubi and the like? I've been binging retro shows on Pluto lately and just love it. My daughter has a larger shoe size than you and often buys boys tennis shoes. I wear a womens 8 so it doesn't work for me, but I have bought the smallest mens size available before. They're still a tad too large but I just wear thick socks with them.

I missed the last 30 minutes and didn't think it would matter. But to come here and read that Audra secretly wants Nate? OMG why? I can't comprehend anyone - let alone three people - wanting Nate. Dude's boring AF, not to mention a back-stabbing cheater. Turning Adam back into Victor's pathetic, Daddy-approval seeking son is really disappointing. His rationale for wanting McCall as a legacy for his kids is so, so stupid. He could do the same thing by starting his own company, and it would be a hell of a lot more impressive than becoming Victor's toady in a hand-me-down, silver platter with strings company. It was fun seeing Tucker shoot him down, though. But it was effortless, and I feel like Adam of a year or so ago wouldn't have been so easy.

Someone mentioned this upthread ... but yes, why is JM talking out of the side of his mouth? Is this a new affect or one I haven't noticed before? So odd. And also as others have noted, Victoria and Nate talk and talk and talk but say nothing at all. It's all stupid fucking buzzwords and platitudes. I will say that for the first time today, IMHO, there was a bit of heat between Devon and Abby. <ducks> ED/Ashley's hair looks great. That's all I got. This show is really boring, and since there's only a couple of writers left it probably isn't going to get better.

Agreed. Willow is the worst. I don't understand her complete hatred of Nina at all. The visitation hearing over Wiley doesn't come close to explaining it; a grandmother wanting a few hours a week with her grandson - a grandson whose mother is dead, and said mother was herself kept from Nina for no other reason than pure evil and greed - somehow justifies this hate? No. One of the reasons I've given up this show for years at a time was for this sort of nonsense. The complete hypocrisy of someone like Carly, who never faces any sort of comeuppance, is another related reason.

NAC and MW were awesome again today. Spencer's realization that he was Esme and Ryan's tool, and that he helped drive Nik further into crazytown, was so well played. I'm still hoping that Nik is alive, that Austin suspects it, and that Ava doesn't yet have a clue. Is Cameron still keeping it secret that he and Joss broke up because she's a cheating cheater who cheats and lies? Joss is and will always be a hypocritical jerk. I sincerely doubt there will be any consequence for her lying about Britt's death, but wouldn't it be great if Liesl took care of her with a pillow? Or poison? Or whatever? One less Carly on this show would be great. Ha ha, this is exactly how I ended up with all my foundlings!

She's such a ridiculous gaslighter. Also, Jack and Diane are boring, but that goes for just about everyone on this show. I skipped over half of it and don't even feel like I missed out.

It would be pretty interesting and soapy if Devon and Ashley teamed up, but I'm afraid of the nightmare scenario of Victor and Ashley. This show always rewards Victor.
