  1. I'm also on the fence wrt Alex Wagner. If it were up to me, the hour would've went to Katie Phang or Yasmin V.
  2. So now they're going to throw Chelsea at Chance to try to make her relevant? Please give it up, show. Also, Billy's angst is beyond boring.
  3. After reading the excerpts, it felt to me like Jayden (and Sean Preston by proxy) was speaking only to Britney. It's such a sad situation for everyone involved, and for everyone going through something similar with non-celebrity parents.
  4. Same here. I also don't follow much of anything he does but think he's good looking and very charming.
  5. I took a break for a few days because of the direction this stupid show was taking with Sally and Adam, on top of too much Phyllis slithering around. Tuning in today only made me angrier, especially wrt Victor. This dickhead blames Sally for Adam's behavior, claims that business shouldn't involve personal feelings, and then instructs Nick to fire Sally for purely personal reasons! The hypocrisy and complete lack of self awareness for these characters is ridiculous.
  6. I was hoping Adam would go to work with Jack at Jabot, and am a bit pissed that it was just a tease by these dumb writers. They do the complete opposite of what would/could be interesting.
  7. So these idiot writers broke up a hot, interesting couple for Sally/Nick and Adam/Kevin/Chelsea instead? I don't get it at all. Nick is boring. Adam as someone who skulks around town trying (and failing) to manipulate people in his strange obsession with Ashland's death is also very boring. Chloe should tell Chelsea to fuck off and DIAF. It's time for this one way friendship to end. Victoria and her video meeting was also boring. Yes, I heard it too! Totally agree. I really don't understand the course change here.
  8. Wow I had completely forgotten about this character. Thank you @Sweepea and @boes!
  9. Who is Christian's mother? That story is a blur to me. Didn't Sharon think he was hers and Steve Burton's character and kept him for awhile? Then her turned out to be the son of Adam? And wasn't Avery (was that her name? the chef and lawyer character) still around at this time? ETA: Also, I don't like Billy at all but thought it was a low blow yesterday when Lily mocked him by saying that he was always begging her to listen to his podcast. That was mean.
  10. From that link: "As for the movie mystery franchises (like Mystery 101) on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, while we haven’t seen much of that as of late versus one-offs, that’s about to change. “We actually have several new movie mystery franchise in the making, and we are hoping to be able to announce those very shortly,” Daly said." That's good news. There are several other franchises I hope they bring back in addition to any new ones, though.
  11. No, that wasn't it at all. There was a large statue in the middle of a small, narrow gallery. It was difficult to avoid running into the statue without slightly stepping over the tape lines. Their violation occurred while walking past the statue to get to the rest of the gallery. They weren't standing over the line breathing on the paintings or anything. The docent saw exactly what happened but wanted to exercise her little bit of power anyway. People who get a frisson of pleasure by making other people feel foolish is probably my biggest pet peeve. Well, that and judgemental people. I don't like bullies.
  12. On the pet peeve of lateness, different personality types do not perceive time in the same way. I'm one of those people who hates being on a schedule, but even when trying very hard to be on time will still end up being late. I've gotten better over the years but time definitely moves slower for me than it does for my type a husband. It doesn't excuse completely blowing people off, of course. Anyway, my pet peeve is art museum docents, who are the amongst the largest group of fucking karens on the planet. Luckily I wasn't the target of this particular crone today, but a cute young couple who couldn't help but step over the tape lines in order to get from point a to point b drew her ire. She made them feel foolish and it was mean and unnecessary.
  13. Agreed. They could have just cancelled it and paid any outstanding contracts or penalties. Hopefully moving it to Peacock will give the show a better chance of sticking around. I'd be fine with story arcs, three days a week, whatever it takes to keep it around. I'm still not clear on whether it's going to be on the free version of Peacock for awhile and then transition to the $5 a month Peacock, or if it's going to the paid service right off the bat. Ha ha that sounds right up my alley!
  14. I liked him a lot until one of the baby switch stories, when he was wailing from a prison cell that he wanted someone to bring him back his baby. I was close to being done with OLTL at that point, but his performance in that particular story drove me to tune out for years.
  15. I'm going to be the optimist here and hope the move will bring in better writing and new viewers. If it's the end of Days, so be it, but I'm hoping the move will breath new life into this old soap.
  16. Not to take up for Ron, but I'm not sure even an exceptional writer could keep this soap on network television.
  17. Yes, I'd love to be able to watch L&O that way. And Dark Shadows, which I've always heard about but never seen, so that's exciting!
  18. So I've watched a previous days episode on Peacock for free, but after September will it only be on one of the paid versions of Peacock? We recently slimmed down our cable package so I don't mind paying for the service, especially if it means I can stream old seasons of Project Runway. Maybe the move will get new viewers, better writing, etc.? ETA: For fellow mystery lovers, Peacock has Columbo and Alfred Hitchcock and other old shows. Oh and even Eureka and Face Off from Sci Fi!
  19. The little boy who plays Thomas is awesome. His scene with BF the other day, where he wouldn't let Chad have his tablet, was really well done.
  20. Dane Cook dating an 18-year old when he was 45 years old is even more disgusting than drunk people eating Katy Perry-flung-pizza from off the floor.
  21. I've come to like and appreciate Tamara Braun's portrayal of Ava, so I'm hoping she's not out.
  22. I actively disliked Ava until very recently and, much to my surprise, liked her and Jake quite a bit. In fact, Ava/Jake is more preferable to me than Gabi/Stefan. This show dicks around for months with story lines or characters that don't work, then somehow hits a stride with an unexpected twist or pairing that I love, and then they blow it all up. That's one of the reasons I have trouble getting back into things after taking a break.
  23. Was the ring sort of under the curtains, near the door? I wasn't really paying attention. I hope Sally and Adam aren't broken up. Those two have such great chemistry, and good writers could give the pair drama without this shit. Ashland being truly dead is a surprise. Nick feeling remorse and fear is also a surprise. Hopefully it will give JM something more interesting to do than being Victoria's hand holder.
  24. A brilliant, one sentence analysis @Julyolo! It's how I'm going to think about many of the soap actors today, and sadly not just on this show. JM/Nick and AH/Victoria were terrible. Maybe they're as confused and disappointed as the audience. Isn't this just a retread of the JT story? The less said about MS/Phyllis the better, while MTS/Nikki looked amazing in that shade of blue. Jack and Diane were fun, so there's that.
  25. Same. Hopefully Ron will have them go their own ways to cause havoc and not work together to poison the town's water supply. GH viewers will remember that story line. It was great fun at the time but been there, done that. My Days watching has been more off than on for awhile so I had no idea who Evan was. I just read up on him on the Days fan wiki. So this guy has killed at least two people, including the mother of one of his children, right? Not sure I'm gonna root for him getting custody of a baby.
