  1. Today was awesome! I watched online and didn't see a preview, so it sucks it's going back to sucky GH tomorrow. Anyway, everyone was great today. I especially loved Esme and Laura - AP and GF have great chemistry. Ditto Scott and Elizabeth. I love the relationship they've built and maintained. And Taggert letting Portia know that no matter what, he is Trina's dad. Their whole conversation was grown up and heartfelt, which is a rarity on this show. Ava & Felicia's relief over Ryan being dead, and Ava and Trina's hugs over Ava being OK, and Felicia, Mac and Kevin over the death of Ryan, Laura and Spencer as Esme and the baby are being wheeled out ... so much good stuff. I wish this show would keep these vets more front and center. They work so well with with the new kids. I didn't mind the delivery scene so much only because of the Heather reveal. And yes to Detective Bennett getting a name! The look on Kevin's face after Esme had the baby was something, though. I half expected him to say it's a demon instead of it's a boy. Felicia and Austin were also interesting and I kept trying to remember why they were friends and how they had interacted before, and then I came here ... Their pairing had also been completely erased from my memory.
  2. I missed the part about Ashley using someone else's dough to buy Tucker's debt. Please tell me it wasn't a Newman who fronted her the money.
  3. I'm really liking Audra. She's not buying dullard Nate's denials for a second. He's out of his league in more ways than one. Not sure how I feel about Tucker and Ashley or her buying up his debt, but it's good that the Newman clan didn't win. And I did like the look on Ashley's face at the end. Agreed. Old Sally would have been decisive and in charge. I do have to say that Courtney Hope is playing a tortured Sally in a believable way regardless of whether Sally should be acting this way. Nick knows it's the beginning of the end.
  4. Wow. I mean. Wow. I'd never heard this song before and I'm 54 years old. It's like a bad SNL skit. One step forward, two steps back. It's sickening.
  5. That's amazing @Julyolo! You have a lot to be proud of. And I co-sign everything you said! It's so disappointing that they've taken this route with Sally. She was fun and interesting and had mad chemistry with Adam. The two of them could have shaken up Genoa City but instead we get this. And now she'll forever be a target of Victor Newman's malignant narcissism and psychopathic vindictiveness ... and she'll take it, just like every other character on this show. So stupid.
  6. I've really enjoyed the last few days. Felicia, Mac, Laura, Kevin, Alexis, Ryan, Esme, Heather, Trina, Spencer and especially Ava. Maura West is the best. The detective who arrested Heather was more interesting and authoritative in three sentences than Jordan has ever been. I'm also dreading the return of Carly, Joss, Drew, Michael and Willow. The show is so much better without them. Also, I hope this isn't the end of Alley Mills. She's been such a wonderful recast and I actually prefer her to Robin Mattson.
  7. Sally's daydreams today at least revealed that she wants this baby to be Adam's, and she knows deep down that while Nick may care about her only Adam loves her. And she nailed Victor's misogyny in two lines, and Nick's in one ("All that matters is the baby!"). So there's that. If only Adam would tell that shriveled up flying monkey he calls a father to fuck off and die in real life. Also, I was a teen mom. The sperm donor abandoned me and his awful family enabled it. So that old, "How do we know the baby is his?" justification (even on a stupid soap opera) will forever fill me with rage.
  8. Is anyone else watching live? Why is the color off? Usually that signals something bad, like a dream sequence. Nevermind - it was.
  9. Honestly I can't decide what made me laugh more - this part, or the earlier scene with Nick as a self-wanking loaf of banana bread! @NinjaPenguins you are brilliant! Yes, sadly there are some real retrogrades in daytime. I'm very curious who the person is.
  10. I'm loving Tucker. I'll deal with this business story so long as it results in some comeuppance for the awful Newmans. Otherwise it's a waste of time. Jack should fire Kyle. It's ridiculous that he's going to get away with his subterfuge. Elena deserves so much better than Nate. Him: "I'll be home as soon as I can. Don't wait up." Click. Fuck off, jerk. I liked the two necklaces Summer was wearing today. @Aurora2 Agree completely about the lack of chemistry between Nate and Victoria. And Chance would be no more believable as a corporate guy than Nate has been. Also agree about GH these days. While it still has problems (flat endings to storylines, way too much Carly and Carly worshipping) it is so much better than it was when I stopped watching years ago.
  11. I've always liked him, too. He was such a great jerk/sometimes nice guy on The Closer.
  12. That makes it a little better, then (suspicions vs. actual knowledge). I haven't been paying that much attention but did notice how oddly casual she was at their lunch. It's good that Jordan isn't completely cold-hearted.
  13. Yes, she's been stuck at the coffee shop for months. I'm worried that they got rid of her house set and can't even remember the last time she was there - maybe right after Rey died?
  14. So Jordan knows that Taggert isn't Trina's father? And she casually sat on that secret while having lunch with him the other day, giving him no indication that she was going to blow up his world?
  15. One thing I learned today is that my love for @NinjaPenguins recaps and @boes general brilliance is even bigger than Victor's prostate!
  16. What the actual fuck? Not only does Kyle get a pass for corporate espionage, screwing over his dad on a personal and professional level, kneecapping a fellow executive, etc., but he gets rewarded for it? This show sucks. And my gosh the Phyllis screeching!!! So awful.
  17. Yes I do the same thing. Many years ago I got a speeding ticket and had to take a class to avoid points on my license. Waiting a beat or two to proceed when a light turned green was one of the safety topics of that class. The instructor had also been hit more than once from red light runners.
  18. Yes @annzeepark914that's totally understandable. As you said, people who are glued to their phones and not paying attention sometimes need a nudge, especially at short lights. What I'm talking about are the aggressive, impatient people who are honking as soon as the light turns green. It's happening more and more in the areas I travel.
  19. This is true. However, it really irks me how quickly and frequently people are honking their horns lately. Just today, at two different lights, two different jackasses were blasting their horns at the first car in line within a half second of the light turning green. And it wasn't just little nudging beeps, either, but long, aggressive horn honking even after the line started moving. A few years ago I read Tim Snyder's "On Tyranny" and it made an impact on not only how I interact with strangers but in observing how other strangers treat each other. There is some serious short-tempered ugliness out there.
  20. If Tucker isn't playing a long con on the Newmans, I will be sincerely disappointed. The smugness of Victor, Victoria, Nate and Michael was nauseating.
  21. Is it an unpopular opinion to like Daniel? I like him a lot, and the vibe between him and nuSummer. Also, every time this thread comes up I wonder what happened to @LeftPhalange. He/She/They had a unique perspective (usually advocating for violence against one odious character or another) that always made me laugh out loud.
  22. Nicholas Chavez was outstanding today. I really loved the scene between him and Adam Huss (had to look him up), where Spencer repeated Nik's words on the video back to him while Laura looked on confused and alarmed. And the low, long breath he let out after Nik left the chapel was so well done. Even though the idea of Spencer wanting this unnecessary baby is stupid I really love the conflict between father and son. I'll say it again but it will really suck if they kill of Nik. I also enjoyed Liz and Finn today. And Ava, though that goes without saying.
  23. That is what it's looking like but I'd be awfully sad if they killed off Nik again. I think he's an interesting, non-Corinthii character and am hoping he's merely off-screen for awhile while they recast with someone else.
  24. @NinjaPenguinsI love your show so much better than the Y&R that ends up on tv!
