Wow. Nick has a storyline that is peaking. Screaming on the inside - in the probably next to last season of Supernatural, why should there still be a storyline for Nick/Lucifer?

I like Jared's more naturalistic style. Also agree that Jensen plays it too much over the top sometimes, especially the 1000 yd blue steel stare. IMHO

This one I actually enjoyed because the dreaded "ensemble" piece was well-written and directed (Yockey and John Badham). Alicia & Max Banes and Jody were fun & had real personalities. Both Sam & Dean were seen as legends by the hunters, and at the end they made peace, at least temporarily, with Mary. One of the few episodes that treated both Sam & Dean fairly.

Eugenie was also at Second City in the 70s with Belushi. She was young & hip 40+ yrs ago.

Nope. Also not saying that Dean was in the neighborhood and dropped in. Just saying that in SPN it’s no big deal for the Winchesters to drive all over the continental US for hunts. In fact, Sam was near Memphis, TN on a hunt with Charlie. So Dean making a ½ day trip is not out of the ordinary.

In the episode when Mary and Bobby left she said the cabin was only a half day drive from the bunker. So Dean would be taking a short drive in Winchester world, definitely not driving cross-country.

I didn’t see that at all. Sam was talking to Charlie person to person, not boss to employee, and she certainly felt free to disagree with him. I didn’t hear Dean call Sam for permission but just to let him know. Sam didn’t respond to his call like a boss.

Very unpopular opinion for this group, but I think that in the past few years especially Jared gives a lot of thought to his performance and has done a very good job capturing Sam's emotions. On the other hand, I think Jensen has a much more limited range and has been doing the same things for 14 yrs, which is why he has trouble playing any other character. IMO.

Don’t the apron and torture indicate he’s getting his hands dirty? Maybe Jensen didn’t read that far ahead. Although the apron is an improvement over the twinky blinders costume.

As much as I complain about previous showrunners, I can't imagine any of them letting that scene make it to air. I don't think Singer or Dabb have any animus against Jensen or Mark, in fact they made Mark a regular to keep him there. I think 1) they just don't give a shit, and 2) they aren't particularly good. CW/WB are perfectly happy to just let SPN keep going as long as possible, but they're not going to put any extra $$ into it. It's a gravy train for all concerned, so just put it on cruise control and let it go until it dies. This combination of Singer, Dabb and the Nepotism Duo is deadly - no spark and no vision. No ambitious, creative producer/writer is going to make his/her career from SPN at this point. So why should Singer care? He's not going to make more $$ for doing a good job. [I'm feeling particularly negative at this point because I'm rewatching Fringe for the first time in a couple years. Even with the weirdo plot twists in the 4th & 5th seasons, the quality -- acting, production values, writing -- is head and shoulders above the last few years of SPN.]

I think they were in the Paley panel. She only spoke once & I don't think he spoke at all. Everyone pretty much ignored them. Between Rich & Rob and J2, I doubt we'll hear anything from the Nep Duo.

Kaia could magically recover & return to this universe. I enjoyed the little bit of Kaia + Jack that we got.

Have to keep in mind that Jack had just shown Sam & Dean his vision of Mary in AU world short time before. Dean had discovered Mary was really alive after rejecting Sam's hopefulness for weeks (months?). So, yeah, I can buy Dean freaking out and over-reacting.
