  1. He probably had to - there's no way a facemask fits over that beard!
  2. To a certain extent, that reflects reality. At the time the original came out, military aviation was predominantly white male. I was a pilot in the Air Force at the time, flying KC-135 tankers, and it was mostly a white male group, the fighter community even more so. The first women to go through Air Force pilot training were in 1977 - Navy probably had a similar timeline - less than a decade before the original movie was released, and women were not permitted to fly combat missions until 1993, so none would have been flying F-14s or at Top Gun in 1986. The ranks of military aviation, including the fighter community, are more diverse 30+ years later. Fun fact - I flew with two of the original 7 women who completed Air Force pilot training.
  3. Almost all, and yes, that was very cool!

  5. Of course they need middle names - how else will they know you are unhappy with them? Jake knows he's in trouble when we call him 'Jacob Anthony'. 😉
  6. In slow motion...she needs to shake her hair out in slow motion.
  7. When I was in high school (mid-70s) two teachers were dating and eventually married. We thought it was funny - like when the dog doesn't listen to me, and GF has to break out the 'mom voice' on him.
  8. Yeah, I wonder what ever became of that - the whole Ninja into the hangar to plant the bombs, then nothing. Is that plane still flying around with explosives in the tank?
  9. If Brady does Giants games, will the words 'eighteen and one' be forbidden?
  10. I'm sure if another host had made that comment, some people would have considered it clever... 😉
  11. I really liked that show, sorry it didn't stick around longer. I haven't seen the current remake, or the recent movies, but I loved the original with Edward Woodward.
  12. Timely comment considering tonight’s FJ…

If I remember, it is 30 minutes after the final pitch of the first game.
  14. I heard about that. One theory is it may be mob related, and they may find more as the level of the lake has reached record low levels.
  15. That’s the Washington Generals.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the game. I didn't find a deal on MLB TV yet, so I don't get many games. ☹️
  17. Sunday, we took Jake to a Fast CAT (Coursing Ability Test) introduction session. The competition involves dogs running a 100-yard straight course, chasing a lure, typically a plastic bag tied to a line. For this introduction, dogs got to chase it for just short distance, to get a feel for how it works. Each dog got a couple of tries, with kennel club members offering advice. Jake was excited when he first saw it, but I think he had enough of the heat by the time he got to run and didn't show too much interest in it. It was a fun outing, and maybe we'll try again in cooler weather. Jake got to see his brother Lucas! I think this may be the first time they have seen each other since they were littermates.
  18. I schedule fake meetings when I want some "alone" time, although my current company encourages us to schedule "focus time" on our calendars, and blocks out a couple of hours every Wednesday afternoon for people to work undisturbed by meetings.
  19. Same here, I didn't know the guy they named, but I was able to figure it out in time. I would have been embarrassed if I got any of the Airlines category clues wrong...
