  1. Hmmm. If we are laying bets. I'm putting Robyn/Kody as a married couple as first in line.
  2. Yup. A belief system designed by a lazy ass con man who wanted a whole lot of young women. Women are conditioned and the groups segregate themselves so that they are 1. afraid of the outside world and 2. if they get to that outside world they don't know how to function within it. ""Women must agree or be destroyed..."" I'm paraphrasing, but that's the gist of it.
  3. Thank you Ginger! He wears the uniform well 🙂
  4. There was a moment on the show where Hunter was brotherly teasing Garrison about how he needed to go to school first, then the military so that he would enter the military at a higher level. Garrison enlisted as soon as he was able and left for boot camp. While little has been mentioned about him (past the home visit that Meri was in her house and "had no idea Garrison came home to visit" and so she missed him) on the show he is most likely in school now. Paedon was mentioned I think in social media about moving close to Mykelti at the time of the Great LV Exodus to Arizona and then he also joined the National Guard (I think). So he is most likely following Garrison's path with school.

That's the odd thing. While Christine openly stated that Mykelti wasn't allowed to come home, Aspyn was. I suspect it was because Mykelti dropped out of school and Aspyn didn't. Since they had been sharing an apartment together I assumed Aspyn had to come home because she couldn't pay for the apartment by herself. The only reason they gave on the show about why Aspyn ended up in Robyn's house was that Aspyn is too mothering to the other kids and she and Christine butt heads over the parenting of the younger kids. I thought it was funny because Robyn's house HAD to be pretty full with her own 5 kids plus relative/live in Mindy and then Aspyn on top of that. Naturally they all gushed about "how great it is to have those sista wives so when your kid wants to come home you can pawn them off on someone else!!"

Yes. He is. He has come a long way. He had a rough patch with a bad roommate decision, and came home afterwards (in a way to detox) but then found a great roommate and is on his own and doing what we all raise our kids to do. Life, work, pay the bills etc. He is happy, and that is truly the most important thing. ...back to the show. My heart broke when Christine/Kody were talking about how Mykelti wasn't allowed to come back home. "Maybe if it was just a pause..." whatever the hell THAT means. If my kids need me, need their rooms back...no questions asked, I'm there for them. Both my kids are on their own, my son 100% and my daughter is almost there. She graduates this coming weekend, mechanical engineering, and she was hired 3 weeks ago. I think she only gets a two week vacation before starting work "in the real world". Damn...I'm feeling old.

I always wondered that. They mentioned on the show that Mykelti was attending "the high school program in a local college" while Maddie went to the regular high school. At the time they kinda implied that Mykelti was getting college credit and was possibly advanced and that was the reason for the difference. My son graduated through our local collective alternative high school. If it weren't for that school he would have dropped out. The teachers there were respectful to him and so he was a respectful student. Regular high school was a shit storm primarily because teachers AND students, well...that entire district still has numerous issues from the top down. Mykelti was always spoken about as a rebellious personality, tho she has said in couch sessions that she isn't. One of her Instagram posts before she "quite" her job at the bank made reference to her "being a handful" at work. The fact that she said "college is hard" with a shell shocked look on her face tells me that she was not prepared in any way for college level studies. I wondered if the truth of the matter was she went to an alternative program because she simply needed more help academically and she was a handful in class because of it. My son at 25 was finally diagnosed with dyslexia. Yet he was tested and retested in school with no clear reason for his reading issues.
  8. Janelle always makes reference to "work" on the show. They all have stated on couch sessions about "working the same hours". The only conclusion to draw really is that "work" is their filming. If Janelle is posting about work then we most likely get to look forward to another action packed season of commentary and flashbacks! Yea us!! /s

Yep. They bought. I remember a social media post or something back when they were closing. Like ginger mentioned above

Well. Assuming that Tony is still a "banker" they most likely just took out an equity loan against their house for Mykelti to become a fashion/tycoon/entrepreneur and for Tony to live out his dreams of being a fashion photographer extraordinaire.
  11. I remember Mariah posting on her Instagram about going somewhere tropical sounding to take yoga classes. Without reading back, I'm pretty sure that Janelle posted at some point about taking online classes in Ayurvedic medicine. It's a whole body healing system from India. I have a feeling the "classes" would be much like her "health coach" classes where you pay a lump sum, read and fill in the blanks and then voila...you are a Health Coach, Ayurvedic style.

Yup. If you have a baby, you won't be the baby.
  13. Thinking back to that time (I sadly admit I fell down that rabbit hole) I think the only real reason that Meri may have finally listened to someone telling her what was really really obvious to the rest of us was a tiny tidbit she mentioned to one of her "fellow catfished sisters" about her seeing a dvd cover or poster at the airport when they were on their way to Alaska. She recognized the actor on the poster/dvd as the person in photos she had been sent from JO. Photos that were supposed to be of "Sam". Supposedly that was when the light was starting to go off in her head about the whole affair. lol...that dinner in Alaska was truly something. Christine's fake "concerned" face. Janelle's "WOW. Be home for Thanksgiving. Robyn and the previously mentioned soup slurping. And Kody...well. being Kody.
  14. lol ...don't come to my house then. Sometimes it can get real lively. Especially when both my kids are home at the same time. Between me and those two feeding the house's energy it can get noisy. 😉
  15. I would love for someone to post to Kody on twitter about the Arizona polygamy laws and see if he posts back. The whole reason they are "exiled" is the laws on the books in Utah (so says Kody). I wonder if they will ever mention the Arizona laws.
  16. Sadly people do shame women for staying at home with their children. I was openly called a "mooch" because I left my career to be a Home mom and make sure my family had a strong home support system. I've experienced lots of criticism for not "supporting" my family and "making" my husband do all the work.
  17. Hmmm. I just watched the episode where Meri herself was sitting and choosing the granite countertop color for her Vegas Wet Bar emporium and she herself said that she was so stressed over the choice because....wait for it..... "I am going to have to look at it for a very long time!!" Bullshit on Vegas not being permanent!!
  18. I have often wondered if it wasn't Kody's idea to put it into the show. I can just see him sitting and looking at Meri with his beady eyed caveman stare, pointing at her saying something like..." YOU brought this to the family and so YOU get to explain it on camera". Something like an atonement or punishment for what she did. Naturally in his religion men are close to God and receive direct revelations from God. Women just get to put up and shut up. Accept this or be destroyed...
  19. Yea...Kody is so full of shit his eyes are brown!! The very very first thing I thought of when the "one big house" theory was brought up on camera was...um...zoning. They bought four separate lots, not one property. It's most likely zoned in single family dwellings because although spaced out, it has a LOT of houses around it if you look at the area from above. Get past the financing...past the zoning...and concentrate on water. Water in, water out. You no longer have typical water needs of a single family home when you have a million kitchen/bathroom sinks, laundry set up plus showers, baths and the porcelain thrones. If they are on septic systems...holy shit!! My husband's cousin put in a double wide trailer on a foundation with three bedrooms. Even though the home has only two occupants, since it's three bedrooms they had to put in a double tank sand mound septic system with double the cost. I have zero clue what kind of water system a home like that would need, but I'm sure it would be prohibitively expensive. Life on city water and country life with a well/septic are two very different lives. AND!! I think Christine might be the most crafty!! She said that she "couldn't find a rental" that suited her, so she had to buy. However, her house is right near where they bought property, and has that same "angel singing mountain view" that she really loved. Regardless of whether they ever build or try to build, Christine has a nice house, a purchased house, the view she wants and can settle in and let everyone else him and haw over the property/build future. SHE is set.
  20. I have a feeling that in the Mariah we are seeing now, we are getting a glimpse of Meri in the beginning of her marriage with Janelle.

I wonder if Mykelti is trying to emulate big sister Mariah's Instagram...
  22. Oh OH!! Even worse!! He has only one wife to keep him company! Hmm. Isn't that the favorite wife with the favorite children with the massive huge gigantic mansion with plenty of room for him to have ALL to himself!? He even gets out of driving anywhere to visit anyone because Janelle and Christine obviously have children watchers in place in their own houses.
  23. Liking canned goods over fresh is most likely just a learned taste. If you grow up with canned something something then your taste buds become accustomed to that taste. Fresh green beans were a short window in my childhood so we ate a LOT of home canned green beans. I now stagger my beans in my garden to get as many harvests and meals of fresh but I freeze a LOT (I used to can a lot, but not so much anymore). However...I still love and buy canned green beans because it's one of those "comfort" foods I grew up on. Cabbage is a tricky one. Many people just cook it wrong and so they think it's a "yucky" vegetable. Sauteed cabbage is really sweet and delicious if you know the #1 rule of sauteed cabbage. Never. Ever. let it touch water. Chopped fresh cabbage sauteed in a little fat of choice (my bacon fat/butter/olive oil mix is my fave). Zero salt is needed in my opinion. Better yet, saute some onions until very soft and all the moisture is gone and add cabbage to that (the beginning of a delicious dish called Haluski). Don't train the little one on eating cabbage with a very high salt content (as mentioned above), then the "real" thing won't ever really taste right (most likely Janelle's adult issue with all vegetables). Train him with good old home cooked veggies instead.
  24. Exactly! I can't imagine the nightmare a "divorce" would be with a man and four wives and one wants to leave. A marital contract would look much more like the legal paperwork setting up a business partnership between 5 people vs a marriage. Add up all the legalities within an average marriage like children, health insurance, home ownership, home insurance, cars and insurance, social security. I can't imagine what a nightmare things would be if there were NO will/trust and four legal wives plus children. It would play out something like Dickens' Bleak House. However, Utah could grow a booming legal community becoming the place to go to set up multi spouse marriages, like the places in the world where it's super easy to set up shell companies to hide your cash from the taxman.
  25. And WHO can forget his "vacation" trip to Galveston with therapists in tow with Christine. Where he steam rolls her when she wants to actually discuss their, and only their relationship. Then he puts it on the table "you love the family and I will love you". But come ON!! That tweet made me laugh really loud. Poor wittle Kody sitting at home with two wives and how many kids and he's lonely because two wives and one grown child are off on a cruise daring to have fun (or a life) withOUT him. Poor. Poor. Kody.
