I think he feels competitive with the handsome, popular Colin, but can't openly express it. So he lashes out at others. Rachel the chef has said she is not returning for another season (BD Med?). I think the chefs burn out at all of the production shenanigans - ten-course meals, many diet restrictions, being lectured by captains, not enough sleep and no help - and they take the money and move on.

I'm glad they finally addressed the girls' futures, although I understand their desire for privacy. In season two, Maya and Dr. Oakley discussed her moving to Hollywood to try to break into showbiz, and it was never mentioned again until this season. I wonder why Sierra chose Australia for her education? Adventure? Scholarship? Great schools? I guess she feels a kinship after her volunteer work following the horrible fires. She's a fantastic vet tech for her mother and I know she is missed terribly. The howling dog was hilarious. He was like an ambulance. Laughing at Dr. Oakley's abscess love. Which could be a bizarre name for a band. Monster was a tiny terror, endlessly chasing all the girls he could not pull.

I remember when one reality TV parent - maybe June/Honey Boo Boo (Alana)? - was required to put her kids' TV income in a protected account. It seems as if TLC suggested or required it. It happened after viewers complained in social media and the real media talked about how these reality TV kids' financial interests are not protected. It appears Kate was not legally bound by any protective arrangements, or the language is so loose that a parent/guardian can drive an armored truck through it. I think this is governed at the state level. Many states are loath to interfere with parental rights. It's an ethical crime and it drives me crazy. It's a system: parents force kids into entertainment; parents "manage" the income and also pay themselves; kids suffer the financial, educational, social, and emotional consequences.

Regarding Tom's fatigue, I thought heart failure. The cocaine and stress could push him into a cardiac event. It is notable that the script had him mentioning his fatigue so frequently. I think the fatigue + cocaine are intentional on the writers' part.

I think both are trying to avoid having to pay child support.

Could Pearce and Mattson end up aligned? Cutting the Roys out entirely?

My family visited US ERs twice during the pandemic. They were overwhelmed with patients and we waited on hallway gurneys and even the floor. The critically ill were of course seen first, and there were many of them. On one visit we arrived at 10am and were not admitted and assigned a hospital room until 11:30pm. The yacht guest was not critically ill so I can see why he had to wait so long.

This episode was unwatchable for me. It was a mess due to horrible editing. I FFed through much of it. And suddenly I have memories of Sally Field and The Flying Nun. Add The Monkees and Ayds diet candy, and this is quite the nostalgic episode. Elderly voices can be very high-pitched. I think that's what we are hearing in Vanessa's voice.

The show is on HULU now so I started watching what I believe is the latest season. I never thought I'd say this about my adored Dr. Oakley, but I found myself bored by the endless scenes of bison running hither and yon. Condolences to the family for the loss of Daisy Mae. I related to their despair over having to choose between euthanasia (She's still eating! It's too soon!) and going to heroics to keep her alive. My last Labrador (aged 15) taught me that painful lesson. If they are suffering, it's time to end that suffering. And to remember that dogs try to hide their suffering, so it may be worse than their loving humans realize. Shane and Willow have disappeared. Perhaps production won't pay Shane, and I assume Willow made the choice. (There was a peek of her at Daisy Mae's waterwide memorial.) Shallow comment: Sierra has the most gorgeous head of hair.

Also, it's a break from the "service with a smile" persona and being around all those people and interruptions. If the crew would lay off the booze and get enough sleep, there'd be fewer meltdowns. I don't like seeing Gary complain to Glenn about Daisy, or rolling his eyes at her when Glenn is present. That's a dismissive attitude. How refreshing! A chef who doesn't throw a temper tantrum because some of the guests are vegetarians. Chefs act as if vegetarians are lepers. Mads resembles the actress Erika Christiansen.

This episode personified "bleak." That cheap little (modular?) house on a barren landscape. Shudder. I guess no cable/satellite service, as they used laptops for all of their entertainment, even worship.

I agree with you lasu. This episode was so lovely and real, and then we had another round of body functions. What the hell? In my and others' experience, they call the family almost immediately and pressure you to find another facility. There's a lot of shifting around of residents who are "difficult." My friend got a call THE FIRST NIGHT of her husband's residence in a dementia facility. He was agitated and afraid because he did not know where he was. He didn't act violent; he just couldn't settle down. In my mind, Joel's personal theme song is "Someday My Prince Will Come." I want his prince to find him. Despite the outdoor peeing, one of my favorite episodes.

I'm disappointed in this series. I know it's meant to be somewhat fanciful, but endless torture of a powerful king while no one intervenes is so unrealistic as to be just stupid. What were the writers thinking?

I don't think Tom is butt-hurt that Shiv doesn't love him; I don't think he has ever loved her. Tom is a smooth operator, but not a business genius. He understands he needs the Shivs and Gregs of the world to latch onto for power and money (Shiv) and use to do his dirty work (Greg). If Shiv is a SAHM, he loses. Any hurt we think we see is Tom feeling despair over being shamed for his background. For being encouraged to think he is Shiv's equal partner in their relationship and business. "You are servile" indeed.

I noticed Aleeza's wig in her first scene. I can almost always spot a wig, even expensive ones on celebrities. The hairline is almost always too obvious, and the hair just doesn't look natural - too shiny or perfectly curled, for example. On men, the hair at the back of the neck lifts up instead of being attached to the skin. So many women are wearing wigs now that the odds are that some will be badly placed and noticeable. I'm not saying that is the case with Aleeza's. Beyond religious reasons, wigs are a handy option for busy women, or in some cases a necessity. I finished the series and really enjoyed it. Although I'm sure some of the participants did it for camera time, the series felt less manufactured than other reality shows. Aleeza seems like a kind soul.

I'm enjoying this. Aleeza is very charismatic and she looks a little like Julia Louis-Dreyfus. I wondered why she love-bombed the vapid unicorn who just wants orgasms. Also, her talking heads are in front of a background that looks like a game show. Perhaps it's an art piece? The dating conversations are quite realistic. I suspect he also wants big boobs but had enough sense not to say it on TV. He wants a Jewish Pamela Anderson.

I have a 100-year-old Craftsman and the upstairs wood floors are not the same quality as those downstairs. My contractor is an expert on old houses (his lifelong passion) and he knows all kinds of odd facts. He told me that when my house was built, it was common to spend less money on the "upstairs" because only family would see it. So I have skinny pine floors upstairs and oak downstairs. People sometimes cover these floors with carpet rather than refinish, repair or replace them. Or maybe they just love carpet under their tootsies on a cold winter morning!

In the early 90s, one of the plumbers carried on a (probably brief) flirtation with my colleague's teenage daughter. I don't remember how they were acquainted, but the daughter ended up in our office one day and amused herself by photocopying and then faxing images of body parts to him. He responded in kind. My colleague just kind of laughed it off.

I think the actress played a Scottish queen (Mary, Margaret?) in one of the many historical series on one of the many streaming channels. The huge eyes and dopey face made me notice her.

It's obvious that the crew barely bother to do their jobs because they know they are on a TV production set. We're seeing some of that in Gary now. Some of them aren't skilled enough to be called yachties. "I rode in a boat once. I'm a yachtie." Gary looks dirty sometimes. Greasy unkempt hair, wrinkled clothes, and you know he has smokers' breath. He's got a paunch now and he's trying to lean in to Fabio territory. The hot tub is nasty. A little alcohol sure loosened up the chef. I'm enjoying the lack of Fake Drama and too much toxic bro-ville. Laughed at Glenn rummaging the boat for snacks and stuffing his pockets.

I hated this episode because it was dimly lit and I didn't understand half of what was going on. Perhaps the loud twin intends to clone a baby using the tissue samples, and the hooker was hired to collect and deliver them? Also, the loud sister yammering on and on in the car on the way to the dinner pitch made me want to smack her.

I hope Kathryn is not allowed to drive with the children in a car. There was a video showing multiple incidents of her smacking into other cars in parking lots. And the court refused to assign her obscene amounts of child support, so those kids had less value in her eyes. She won't get anything now because Thomas has sole custody. At least the children won't be living in squalor and they will receive great educations. I'm hoping Thomas' siblings give them lots of love and attention.

And therefore increase camera time.
