  1. Yeah, you're right. I (miraculously) still have "Girls, Girls, Girls" on my DVR and checked. The part on the wiki page about the three different types of witches is pretty much exactly what she tells the girls (girls, girls).
  2. Oh, what I would have given for some crazy Vincent D'Onofrio to liven up this episode. Ah, okay--I'm mixing up the Supernatural version and the Biblical version. Lisa and Ben who? I try to pretend those episodes never, ever, ever existed. One other small thing I liked about this episode was the moment at the end in the car when Dean actually smiled. Naturally that had to spiral into angst and secret-keeping but for a brief moment he was honest-to-goodness happy (and not cocky happy like when he thought the nun was into him). I really, really miss the happy, "Hey, Tuesday! Pig in a poke!" Dean.
  3. Yeah, that was the part of that scene I really liked. I sort of wish he had gone into the confessional pretending he was going to make a false confession for Sam's benefit and made the whole thing serious and real. I get that it wouldn't have worked with the plot but that brief moment he let his guard down in the safety of the confessional was nice and I wish it had lasted a little longer. Not to sound like a shmoopy Dean Girl but I like that Dean so much better than makes-eyes-at-a-nun Dean. Ha! Thank you! I had completely and utterly forgotten, only a few minutes after the show ended, that there was a painting involved in the plot. Wow. I was so NOT paying attention.
  4. The movie 50 to 1, which stars Christian Kane (among others) and was in theaters last summer is finally being released on DVD and VOD in April. I'm totally biased towards this movie because it was filmed in, set in, and premiered in my home state of New Mexico but it was a really good movie--CK is not the only reason I saw it 6 times in the theater :)
  5. That's as good of an explanation as any. I find it a little sad I care more about the title than anything that happened in the episode.
  6. I barely remember but at the end of the last season when Ava was released her lawyer (or rather Boyd's lawyer) was with her, right? So does he know about the CI deal or would they not tell him because he's technically paid by Boyd? Because if he knows about the deal he's being a terrible lawyer. And if he doesn't know about it, yeah, Ava's an idiot for not consulting someone. If he kills Tim I will be livid. LIVID. I was sort of okay with the idea of Walker killing Tim--not because I want him to die because I absolutely do not--but because they had a few interactions and at least had a little history. But I don't like Boon and he is not worthy enough to kill Tim. I do like the idea of Loretta giving Boon apple pie though. I'd like to think that's the reason we were reminded of it when she offered Walker a drink--that it's going to come up again at some point.
  7. I was really surprised that it took this long to use that song but now I have no idea what it was supposed to refer to. Nothing was literally painted black, no one's love died never to come back (unless the murdered dudes count but I'm pretty sure Mick Jagger didn't murder his love in the song)…. Are they saying Dean's "whole world is black"? It shouldn't take this much thought to figure out the title. I really like the scene once he grew serious but yeah, we already heard him admit he was afraid to die/go to hell how many years ago? I've been wondering for years if they were ever going to bring God back and I would not be the least bit surprised if that's how they fix all the angel/heaven nonsense and remove the MOC. Since God is the one who gave it to Cain in the first place I would think He's the only one who can take it away. This was me during the nun's endless yammering. I'm pretty sure I dozed off because all of a sudden Rowena was slapping around the other witch and I couldn't remember a damn thing the nun had said (nor did I bother to rewind and find out). The only other thing I have to add is: of course the "hot nun" had a little thing for you, Dean. Her vows didn't render her sightless :) (Edited because punctuation is important.)
  8. Or, turn Cole into a monster (like Gordon) so non-Demon!Dean can justifiably kill him. Or so Sam can kill him. That should be the punishment Sam dishes out for any non-family members calling him Sammy--bring back that razor-wire decapitation. I wouldn't care too much about how he dies, so long as it's violent and he stays dead. I really don't think that's too much to ask.
  9. My first thought when he called him Deano was, "Hey! You've never read the recaps--you can't call him that!" I, on the other hand, refer to him as Dashing El Deano frequently when I'm talking to the TV (like a crazy person) because I have read the recaps :) Yes! Not only was Gordon bonkers to begin with, Dean beat the crap out of him and left him tied him to a chair for who knows how many days. By all rights Gordon should have been more brutal to Dean. But Sam had nothing to do with Cole until Cole forced the situation. So dumb. If Cole ever does come back (please, no!) hopefully Dean's a demon again and finishes the job.
  10. I'm going to guess these are the same people who loved Katrina Crane on Sleepy Hollow--otherwise it makes no sense to me. The only time I've enjoyed Cole is when Demon Dean beat the crap out of him. So, for a punching bag he was great, but any other time he was on screen? Zzzzzzz. I can barely muster up enough energy to be annoyed by him. I put him in the same category as I do Claire: whiny, boring, and hopefully gone for good.
  11. Hang on, they're capable of not feeling guilty for something? ;)
  12. I can only imagine the Archer-style rampage Raylan would go through if Loretta got killed.
  13. If Wynn and Mikey do go their separate ways I'm hoping for a spin-off where Loretta hires Mikey as her personal protection in her weed empire and then aplexing hi-jinks ensue.
  14. Oh, that bugged the hell out of me. Because that's how people get to be in military intelligence in the first place, by giving their dumbass friends classified information. So stupid. Me too. I was pretty check out--writing emails, dealing with work stuff…. I paused the DVR for about 30 minutes to watch a David Letterman clip and then got sucked into an internet rabbit hole--completely forgot I was in the middle of a show. I could not have cared less about Cole. This. I would have been happy with him dying purely because of the "Deano" thing. It worked so much better when it was Gordon calling Sam "Sammy". He heard Dean say it, Sam said not to call him that, and then he kept doing it to be a dick. That I was okay with. It was warranted because Gordon was doing it on purpose to piss Sam off. Cole was just--I don't know--trying too hard or something. It just sounded stupid. Shut up, Cole--you suck. Sigh--that was a very "meh" episode after such a long wait.
  15. I was really hoping Boyd and Ava would forget about the money, partner up and adopt Loretta, and live happily ever after as one awesome little crime family. Throughout this whole season I've been perfectly okay with the idea of Boyd getting killed until last night when he was almost killed. I'm not going to like that at all, although I was a little less fond of him when he went after Ava all crazy-like. I'm not sure how Rachel can be so pissed at Raylan. It's not his fault that Boyd didn't blast all the way through. Raylan's been pretty good this season about doing his job the right way. She assumed he slept with Ava when he didn't and got mad about it, she's mad at him now for Boyd not stealing the money (even though he tried the way he was supposed to).... I usually like Rachel but if she's going to be mad at Raylan I'd rather it be when he deserves it.
  16. I finally got around to watching the first two episodes last night and as much as I want to like it--because my love for Timothy Hutton is strong--I found myself fast-forwarding through a lot. And I'm not happy that a lot of his scenes involve Barb because I find her so very awful and would love to skip over her but I can't because: Hutton. Also, weirdly, I was halfway through the second episode before I recognized W. Earl Brown. I love him and I can't believe I didn't recognize him clean-shaven. So now there are two characters/actors I won't fast-forward through regardless of how annoying the writing gets. Seriously. Or the kid either! He knew he was lending his car to a gang member but somehow didn't think talking to the police about said car without his dad or a lawyer was going to turn out well? Cop/lawyer shows are so ubiquitous at this point even the Amish would know to ask for a lawyer before opening their mouths.
  17. I did too! As soon as Ty called Tim a dick I was sure Tim would be the one to kill him (or that Ty would kill Tim which I am very grateful didn't happen). This show never does what I expect it to do, which I suppose is what makes it fun for me.
  18. Oh, Tim, I think I'll miss your sarcastic drawl most of all.
  19. That was my favorite thing from the episode I think--that and Tim calling Raylan a dick because he was totally being a dick. I was sorry to see Ty go too--I really thought they were building something more with him but they do like killing people off when you least expect it on this show. Hopefully, going by this logic, since I expect Tim to get killed before this is all over it won't actually happen.
  20. I didn't realize John Laroquette was a guest star. Can you be considered that when you're in every episode? Eh, whatever--good for them!
  21. Me too. Timothy Hutton is the only reason this show made it on my radar--love that man but I'm really afraid I'm not going to like the show.
  22. Oh, that's interesting...I didn't even think to suspect Avery. I sort of forgot about him by that point--I was so worried for the safety of the beard. It is sort of odd that Avery just left Ty to get caught without trying to clean up the mess. I guess being hauled into the Marshals' office might have had something to do with that but he should probably be worried about what Ty could say if he's caught. Which, were we told why Avery was brought into the office? Was it purely so Art could talk to him? I thought Art was just there because he was bored unless that was just a story and he had them bring in Avery? And speaking of Art, is he officially retired or is he on leave?
  23. When he first went into the bathroom I expected him to shave off the beard like Harrison Ford in The Fugitive. Sure, the beard is awesome but when you're hiding from the law it seems like the first thing you want to do is change your appearance. I think it was a sedative so Ty realized the EMT was trying to knock him out, not help him.
  24. 36-years-old and I've picked up a baby once to keep it from crawling out a doorway--I basically plopped it down facing another direction just set it on a new course. When one of my coworkers brought his baby into the office he made the mistake of thinking I would watch it while he got some work done. He got an earful because he was only in the office to work on personal crap (not that it would have mattered) and patronizingly assumed I'd be okay babysitting because I was the only girl here. I was actually a lot ruder than Rachel and I wasn't in the middle of a manhunt :) I did feel bad for poor Nelson who actually did want to hold the baby. And I would have liked to see Tim wind up with her--him dealing with a baby would have amused me to no end. But I'm okay with Rachel not caring--Art made enough of a fuss for everyone.
