  1. Seriously. One of their convention is coming to my city and I impulsively bought a ticket to have my picture taken with JA. Now the closer that date comes the more I'm regretting it because I turn into squeeing fangirl when he's on the TV, how will I handle it in person? I just keep reminding myself JA is not the same person as Dean. When (if) this show ever ends I hope JA gets a new role on a show that actually gets recognition. That boy deserves a truckload of awards. Did anyone else think it was dumb for Crowley to admit where his bones are buried to the two guys he hid them from in the first place, not to mention his evil mother? Why would he do that? And why didn't Rowena take the bones? That made no sense to me.
  2. Was it my imagination or did he not have a mustache in the previews? That just seems wrong somehow. I was starting to get really annoyed that they only showed Tim for a second at the beginning, without any dialogue. I was sure that was it for him and he and Rachel would be sidelined yet again. I'll admit I cheered when he popped back up with Raylan--I love that smart-ass pairing. But yeah, more Rachel please. I had a crazy theory that Dewey was going to be the only one to survive purely for being a strangely-lucky dumb bastard. But if they had to kill him I'm glad they had Raylan smash his face into the steering wheel like he did in the very first episode so everything could come full circle. Gosh I missed this show. It was worth staying up crazy late to watch it.
  3. Yeah, I think it would be a mistake to have Flynn there all the time. While the others were useful when they were working with Flynn, Flynn did just fine on his own for 10 years so would there really be a need for the other three if he was back being the full-time Librarian? I could see this working well. They let Judson die in the first episode, right? Or freed him from the mirror or whatever? If he's not coming back then that spot it available for Flynn to fill. Although, I'm not sure what Jenkins would do…. I hope the writers are thinking about this now so they're ready if the show gets picked up again.
  4. I've been wondering how much of a difference it made to watch them in order. Luckily, they're still in my DVR as well so I think I know what I'll be doing this weekend :)
  5. This bugged me too. She was so obviously playing him and it makes no sense that he's not smart enough to figure that out. Or realize that his witch mother might just do some spell work to induce visions/nightmares. If I lived with a mother like that I'd be checking every crevice for hex bags on a regular basis. Me too. The only reason I didn't want Dean to kill him was because then the torture would end. Although I could have done without all the punching. Poor Dean was probably hurting his hand--he should have used the blade the whole time. I was happy that Sam was being the voice of reason when they were discussing Cain. It's been bothering me all season that if Cain could suppress the Mark then Dean should be able to too. I wish they had brought up actively trying to find Cain, but any mention of the actual guy (as opposed to just discussing the Mark) was nice to hear. I've seriously missed this show--I didn't realize how much until tonight. It was fun and funny and scary…. JA's acting was fantastic--that he could be so terrifying and completely sympathetic at the same time was great. Love that guy. There were some great moments from Cas proving, to me at least, that he's better utilized with the boys than on his own. The line, "One extremely messed up human to another," killed me. I probably wasn't supposed to find the thug couple as funny as I did but it was pretty hilarious they thought they could beat Dean with a baseball bat and an axe. They had a better chance of hurting him by smashing the Impala with the bat (although, he really would have killed them if they had). The only things I didn't really like were Claire--like everyone else it looks like. She just bugs--so whiny and dumb. Two random people in a bar invite you back to their camper in the woods? That's when you run. And I can do without Rowena. I'm glad they gave Mark Sheppard something else to do but I wish it wasn't this. I'm hoping Dean kills Rowena with the First Blade.
  6. Yes, to all of this! WHY wasn't Frank's story the A Plot? I mean, I know why, because they want to shove Katrina down our throat, but...*whimper* why? What happened to him is directly related to the whole reason the show exists in the first place. And granted, I didn't watch the Crane part so I don't know if the painting had anything to do with Headless or the Apocalypse but I'm willing to bet it didn't. That one little interaction between Jenny and Frank was gold. More of that, please! The hopeful part of me wants to believe this is a joke. The realist, who's seen how craptastic this show has gotten, knows full-well it's not and has developed an eye twitch over it. I've gotten to the point where I watch it just to come here and complain about it--misery loves company and all that. So if you love complaining as much as I do (which is a lot) then it's a great episode :)
  7. I saw a news story (entertainment news, that is) yesterday asking readers to comment on whether or not there should be second season so I'm guessing they don't know one way or another yet. But, on John Rogers vlog for each episode he talks about things that will happen in season 2. Not what might happen, but what will happen, so he seems pretty confident about another season. And Dean Devlin said he'd do this show for the rest of his life if he could (paraphrasing). Hopefully there's something to back up their optimism. I also read that the rating were great for the first episode, slipped afterwards but remained steady and still pretty high--in Rizzoli & Isles territory (which I guess is good?). As soon as the bad guy went flying through the air I had a feeling punchy Christian Kane was about to make an appearance. Now that Baird has Flynn to guard maybe she'll train Jake to fight so he can guard the others. I miss watching him fight.
  8. Very true. Which is why I'm now watching "Provenance" (for the umpteenth time) to cleanse my palate of the bitter Katrina aftertaste :)
  9. I know next to nothing about the Arthurian legends but if this show gets another season I may have to do some reading. And brush up on my Greek myths while I'm at it. Is it normal to do homework for a TV show?
  10. I found myself fast-forwarding through all of the Crane scenes but stopped to watch Matthew McConaughey try to sell me a Lincoln and Rob Lowe try to sell me Direct TV. Commercials should not be more entertaining than the show! Suffice it to say I have no idea what the A plot was about but the gist I got was that a ghost was escaping the painting and killing people? If that’s the case, I would so much rather watch the Supernatural episode that, I’m going to guess, did it better. Besides, as annoying as it gets sometimes, Winchester Family Drama is much more palatable than Crane Family Drama. But I do have to ask, what’s with Ichabod’s terrible prom updo?
  11. Aww, Piggly. I didn't get that one either. And also Archer's "I had something for this" that was a Luke Skywalker joke.... I rewound it over and over again but couldn't understand what he was saying other than "Skywalker". Between this and Mallory's voice being odd last week I feel like I need to get my hearing checked.
  12. I had no idea Lindy was 35--I thought she was much younger. Maybe that's why they dress her like that? To make her character appear younger? I definitely warmed up to Cassandra by the finale. Either they dialed down the Fredness (for lack of a better word) or I got used to it. Either way, it's been few weeks since I yelled at her through the TV. And I was fully prepared to be annoyed by alternate-timeline Cassandra because judging by the promos I thought she'd be full-on evil complete with mustache twirling (or whatever the female version of that is). I'm glad they didn't go that route.
  13. I am very sad to see the show end--it wasn't nearly enough episodes. Fingers crossed we get another season and since they started filming this one around the end of March hopefully they'll be on the same schedule and we won't have too long to wait before we find out. The ending reminded me of the finale for the first season of Leverage. Since they didn't know if they were going to get a second season or not they ended the show as if it was their last--separating the characters and blowing up the offices. John Rogers commented a lot on how they had to basically reset the show and think of a reasonable story to bring everyone back. They did a good job on that so I'm sure if The Librarians gets picked back up they'll figure out a way to bring Baird back into the fold (assuming RR wants to come back). Since we're being shallow, I will admit I was irrationally jealous of Mable to the point where I had to leave the room when it looked like they were going to kiss. Don't judge me!
  14. Ha, CK or his people linked the "Kane is Able" recap praising Jake/Christian on his facebook page. I wonder if they noticed the not-as-flattering, "make Ezekiel less of an ass" complaint at the end.
  15. Holy crap the A-Team/Magnum crossover needs to be on my TV RIGHT NOW. Especially if we can have Magnum and Face vying for the same girl and Hannibal helping himself to Robin's cigars.
  16. Here's a nice little interview with Christian Kane about the show and his role as Jake (no spoilers) with some Leverage and Angel questions thrown in: http://www.tvequals.com/2015/01/15/exclusive-librarians-interview-christian-kane-reveals-jake-came-viewers-can-expect/ ETA: Another interview with Dean Devlin: http://community.ew.com/2015/01/15/the-librarians-season-one-finale-exclusive-video-interview-executive-producer/ It looks like they haven't heard yet about season 2 but he gushes about how great John Rogers script for the finale is.
  17. That was a joke, right? Please tell me that comment was full of sarcasm and no one actually believes we need more CFD and less Abbie. Katrina in pain? I would watch the hell out of that show.
  18. Now the nosy girl in the next office knows I'm not working because I failed miserably at stifling my laughter.
  19. Yeah, I just threw up in my mouth a little bit--mostly because I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that's what they did. I also wouldn't be surprised if Moloch gets sent back to Purgatory and we have a giant repeat of them trying to raise him again in Season 3. I have ZERO hope for this show anymore.
  20. Lindsey's fake hand which gave us my favorite line in the entire series: "Boo-hoo. Let me wipe away the tears with my PLASTIC HAND!" Lindsey's evil hand which led to his extremely entertaining exit from Wolfram and Hart. And any time they made fun of Angel's hair.
  21. I think they're dressing Stone as Christian Kane. I randomly crossed paths with him last year (twice in one week!) and both times he was dressed pretty much like Stone--a million layers and cargo pants. I probably wouldn't have noticed except I remember thinking it was odd because it wasn't really cold out. No, that's a lie--I would have noticed regardless because he's freaking Christian Kane. Ahem. Anyhoo, I'd swear in the science fair episode he had a giant (very hard to see) #7 on the back of his shirt which is something Elliot did too (in the private school episode?) and I think CK has a thing about the number 7. I think Leverage ruined us with all the tight t-shirts and wife-beaters. It's definitely made it hard for me to rewatch Angel...having to see him in those ridiculously-large suits.
  22. I was worried about this too but he's wearing a wedding ring so I'm assuming she's still in the picture.
  23. I posted something similar to this on the Cassandra thread but I think the show being aired out of order is doing a disservice to the characters. If aired correctly his jackassary might have been easier to take because it would have been mixed in with the episodes where he was helpful. As much as I wanted Stone to knock that smarmy grin off his face for most of the season, I liked Jones much more this past week. I forget what the order was supposed to be but if those shows had aired between the ones where he was being a total asshole I might not have hated his character so much in the beginning. When the season is over I may go back and watch them in the correct order because I'm curious to see how the relationships should have evolved.
  24. Moved from the episode thread: I feel this is partly due to the episodes being out of order. It's jarring to have them okay with her one episode and then the next have her whining to Stone about when he'll trust her. I could see them being angry and bringing it up over and over again when the anger was still fresh and slowly letting it go throughout the season but since we've been jumping around so have their moods. It would be interesting to watch the season in the correct order and see how the relationships were supposed to evolve.
  25. Agreed! The shoes were so creepy! The empty, dirty crib bothered me too but not nearly as much as the shoes.
