  1. I think Mary haunted the place for years but the townspeople just heard her crying and caught glimpses of her--Abbie seemed to know some of the legend but not the details. But when Henry "awakened" Mary he made her dangerous or sentient--he changed her somehow to be aware of Ichabod and the women in his life and want revenge that she never cared about before.
  2. It's like they're treating it the same way vampires and demons were looked at in Sunnydale. Everyone knows something isn't quite right in town but they'd rather ignore it until their own Graduation Day happens and they're forced into action.
  3. Those twitchy fingers are one of my favorite character beats. Like you said, it's expressive and yet subtle at the same time. You notice it but it's not like he's flailing around drawing attention to himself the way more scenery-chewing actors would do it. Well acted, TM.
  4. Yup, I had the same problem the other day. My confusing explanation of the show spiraled into, "It's just bonkers--but in a good way!"
  5. Oh, dancing Angel. I will never, ever, EVER get tired of watching that.
  6. As someone who has spent the better part of 15 years reading and researching Billy the Kid history I can tell you that his Drunk History was surprisingly accurate considering it was told by a drunk dude on Comedy Central. I've seen shows on the History Channel that didn't even come close to being as factual. The native New Mexicans did love him, he had LOTS of girlfriends, and Joe Grant was a total asshole. (Side note: a few hours earlier Grant, being a bullying asshole, had stolen that pearl-handled gun from someone else in the bar and Billy, having a feeling that something bad was going to happen, did ask to see it and spun the barrel to an empty chamber. Later on, Grant started threatening the guy Billy was sitting with because he'd mistaken him for the guy's brother and when Billy tried to explain that he was mistaken, Grant called him a liar. Billy turned to ignore him, Grant fired his empty round at Billy's back and, hearing the *click*, Billy spun around and fired three shots into Grant's head.)
  7. This is the reason it's hard for me not to root for Teddy. Even when Teddy is being kind of a douche I still find myself more annoyed at the other characters for being mean to him because he's Clayne Crawford. Crawford is the reason I started watching the show in the first place so I found myself caring more about his character's storyline than Daniel's.
  8. Agreed. I would have liked to see what would have happened with Lindsey's character. I always enjoyed the pissing match between him and Angel (especially when he was so bitter over his plastic hand) and since their roles had gotten reversed with Angel working at Wolfram and Hart and Lindsey trying to take it down it could have been fun. And more Adam Baldwin towering over and beating the crap out of people would have been nice.
  9. Yes, please. Especially if he's giving someone shit (the whole run of him accusing Raylan of murdering Gary in Season 3 was great) or being a bad ass (like he was in Decoy last year). Or maybe just eating string cheese with Rachel on a stakeout. I don't care--I'll take anything after this season. And can Boyd please get that Dairy Queen?
  10. I teared up a little bit--I'll admit. Jimmy and Aunt Helen are the only two deaths so far I've really been upset about. I was surprised when Arlo got it but not really sad--same for Cousin Johnny. Poor Jimmy. He got bit in the face by a snake! Didn't he already suffer enough? I'll also admit that I fast-forwarded right through the prison scenes. I could not have cared less about it. I have hopes for Ava's storyline next season but this one was just way too boring. And Daryl's death was great. Regardless of all the other reasons, he deserved getting shot in the balls purely for causing Tim's accident.
  11. I may have woken up my neighbor when I exclaimed, "Holy shit!" and started laughing hysterically at Picker's, um, demise. I had a feeling emulex was going to be involved when Boyd got the cigarettes but I never thought it was going to end like that. Ha! Where has that Boyd been all season? It was so nice seeing him have a win--a splattery, gooey, explody win. If only the majority of the season could have been like that...Boyd blowing shit up, Tim and Rachel kicking down doors and waving guns around, Art making jokes as he chitchats with a girl...I miss that version of Justified.
  12. As much as I love Raylan, and I do, Deputy Tim Gutterson is my designated TV boyfriend for this show. I'm sure that's why Season 4 has been my favorite so far (I'm embarrassed to say how many times I've watched Decoy because of his bad-assery) and why I'm growing more and more frustrated with the current season. It's bad enough when he only gets one line an episode but to not include him at all? That scene of him playing Scrabble with Boyd was great but it was like a big tease: "Here's Tim being awesome--enjoy it while you can because you won't see him again for months!" Less Crowe family and more Tim, please!
