  1. Bummer, I was hoping for more--I'm not ready for it to be over. But whenever I start thinking this I remember how badly Sleepy Hollow went of the rails with more episodes and try (unsuccessfully) to be content.
  2. How many episodes is the current season going to have? Every Sunday I watch the promos expecting the next week to be the finale and it never is. This season seems to be lasting forever (not that I'm complaining--at all).
  3. I was all set to be annoyed with how long it would take for the others to believe about the time loop but their quick acceptance of this perfectly reasonable explanation was fantastic. I'm not a gamer at all but I found the rules of how video games work really interesting. I love it when I learn things by watching TV. Books can suck it :)
  4. Right? I think it's my favorite too. I really like how they're getting Jenkins out of the Library/Annex more often and in the middle of things. And how he's grown fond of these people he was so annoyed by last season. I loved the costumes/hair/makeup and the sets and the mocking of selfie-obsessed culture... And I was happy to see that Dorian Gray wasn't a Fictional but an actual person--that was a nice twist. And annoyed Christian Kane is always my favorite Christian Kane. How many more episodes are left?
  5. It sounded like the manager was doing an over the top cross between Peter Noone and Davy Jones.
  6. Q! It was driving me crazy through the whole episode that I couldn't place that actor and IMDB (as of last night) hadn't listed him for the episode.
  7. I felt like that too--like it ended too fast. For some reason I was expecting something else to happen after they were recuperating on the cots and Eve and Jenkins were talking but then the credits rolled and took me by surprise. Then I started to wonder if, when fast-forwarding through the commercials, I accidentally missed some show, but I went back and nothing was skipped. Weird. But I liked it and I'm sad there aren't too many more episodes left. (3, I think? Or 4?)
  8. The writing staff of Leverage were Doctor Who fans and I think there's a lot of the same writers on this show I wouldn't be surprised if this was an homage. They easily could have replaced all the milkshakes with tacos. I didn't think of it at the time but now I'm disappointed too. I really liked Drew Powell as the Library and I'm glad they didn't make him a villain. I'm sure he can do villain but I was happy they wrote him more like Hurley (from Leverage). Although it would have been nice to see him and CK together in a scene... But all in all, I thought it was a good episode I may have even teared up a little at the end (either that or my apartment was super dusty).
  9. I can't help but love Brandon for being the worst because all the swearing at/about him is THE BEST.
  10. It did resemble a farcical aquatic ceremony so I'm going to guess yes. I hope they come back because it seems like a waste of Beth Riesgraf--I was waiting the whole episode for her to show up and the part was weirdly short. Last week it was "I hate babies" and this week it was "I'd call him a prick"--someone in that writers room has access to my brain and I love them for it.
  11. I learned about the rabbit thing from reruns of Dick Van Dyke when Laura told him she was pregnant by saying the rabbit died. So I knew about the reference since I was a kid but I was very confused about how the rabbit was involved for years.
  12. I really liked the episode and I'm wondering if they did Jake's daddy issues here because they never got a chance to do Elliot's daddy issues on Leverage (I vaguely remember them saying they'd get to it in the next season that didn't happen). And Cassandra's hating babies line got the biggest laugh out of me--I'm in love with whichever writer threw that one in. I'm liking her and Jones both a lot more this season.
  13. For some reason I can't find the video on Youtube but on The Librarians Facebook page is a pretty great video of Christian/Jake singing about monsters to children: https://www.facebook.com/TheLibrarians/?fref=nf
  14. Ooh, this is on the top of my book pile--I may have to get to it sooner than I had planned.
  15. I was a split-second away from a Queen of Hearts/Red Queen rant when Stone very thoughtfully corrected Eve and saved me the trouble. And that's why he'll always be my favorite.
  16. I agree. And if I'm not mistaken John Rodgers is a big Sherlock Holmes nerd so I'm hoping he'll do the character justice. I think he was just being flirty. But I'm not sure if he knew that Flynn was a capital L Librarian (and that Baird was a Guardian) or just figured out that he used to work in the museum as a regular person. I also liked this season's Cassandra more than last year's. I think they dialed her back just the right amount and hopefully it sticks. And Jones seemed much less obnoxious which I appreciated. And Christian Kane is always awesome IMHO so no complaints there :)
  17. Yeah, but the kid wouldn't say "thank you" and ran away from her mom. I don't think she deserved the candy ;)
  18. I was a little disappointed Hodgins didn't get to go with them to the crazy Masonic Greek-fire-spewing crypt--he would have loved that. I've got my fingers crossed that Zoe goes a little bonkers. I do not need to see Crane's dating life--especially after seeing his abysmal married life. I would like to see him get his citizenship and get a real job and pay Abbie some rent. I didn't watch the Bones half yet--I stopped watching that show when Bones had the baby (because, say it with me, babies ruin everything). But in the SH half I really, really loved seeing Booth get all impatient with Abbie talking about puzzles and just shooting the hell out of the panel to free Crane and Bones. It almost made me want to start watching Bones again because I used to love that part of Booth's character. As for the rest of it, I enjoyed it for the most part. The bowling/costumes was fun (aside from Zoe who I also thought was Little Bo Peep), the fight scenes were fun, Pandora stealing candy was fun. But I totally agree that Abbie needs something more to do than deal with Crane's damn love life. We saw enough of that last season, thankyouverymuch.
  19. Last night was the first time I noticed she's in the credits. What the hell? And I was all ready to fast-forward once the flashback started because I just couldn't deal with her again. I can't describe how relieved I was that it was a childhood flashback and not a Betsy Ross one. I really don't have the energy to deal with another She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named type. Other than that, I liked the episode and while I'm still not as crazy about the show as I was first season, Crane and Abbie/Mison and Beharie are still enough to keep me coming back.
  20. Yeah, gotta agree with Dave here. Raisins in oatmeal cookies? Yes. Raisins for Halloween? You deserved to get egged with ALL the eggs.
  21. Count me in for having a harmony ball that my sister got me from a new age store (along with a medicine bag with healing rocks inside). Although I called it a fairy ball--not sure which name is worse. I'm pretty sure Bo Duke used that, "If you weren't my cousin" line to Daisy in an early episode of Dukes of Hazzard too. So gross.
  22. My absolute favorite thing about Star Trek TOS is the trio of Kirk, Spock, McCoy bitching at/with each other and nothing makes me happier than crusty McCoy. Loved that Canon submission!
  23. And every once in a while they'll show a zia on one of the buildings that always screams New Mexico. I've been to the town where they film the office scenes (Las Vegas) pretty often and it drove me crazy the first season because it looked so familiar but I couldn't place it. Then they panned over a movie theater with a giant zia on the sign and I finally realized where it was. Now I can't unsee it.
  24. I've still got the Colbert Report episode from 2013 where Daft Punk was a no-show. Every so often I just need to see Stephen dance and for some reason I can never find just the dancing segment from the show online.
