This felt like vintage Arrow to me, in that there was plenty that annoyed me, yet overall I enjoyed it immensely. I had forgotten Bamford had directed this until I read it here. It didn't feel like his episode at all. And the fights actually were pretty damn impressive this time. I bet EBR had a lot of fun. And Oliver's fights were brutal and unexpectedly funny. I cracked up when he cut off Brick's airway with his Dumas and the guy who delivered 3D's false message was really good at looking zonked out. LOOK AT THAT POOR SHAKING HAND!!! Really, that right there is the pinnacle of this scene to me. Though I clearly don't love the fact that they're physically separated, I appreciate how much they were shown to be in sync this episode. Not just the parallel fights (which, yes, please, can I have some more), but also the shots of them dealing with the everyday drudgery of being separated and having to put one foot in front of the other another day. I just wish we see them in sync when they're together and happy. After Felicity has killed 3D, obvs. Felicity, are you okay? -Oh, I broke a nail. Also on my kill list - that fucking guard.
