There was a visitor with Stanley. It was when he got up to leave that Stanley spotted Felicity. I found it stranger that the guard was just cool with Felicity going over there. Or even letting her in the room in the first place.

I finally watched that sneak with Dig and Curtis, and I have to ask, did the mad doctor from Level Two visit them off screen? Because first we had John I Wore the Hood in a Dream Once Diggle proclaim that hood to basically be the root of all evil. And then there's Curtis I Need To Be in the Field With Even Less Training Than Laurel Holt trying to dodge some undercover work. Don't tell me women are flighty. If that's the case, where has William been all that time to have missed the news of a business mogul's death? The only scenario I could think of is Oliver and Felicity sending him to a different Earth for protection. And while that may explain his abandonment issues, it doesn't feel like an Arrow storyline. Or is he really that bad at subterfuge that he forgot that Felicity was supposed to have been 'dead' for nearing a decade?

First time I heard any specific number of years regarding anything in the flash forwards.

I only read the headline and rolled my eyes at the hubris that she liked it because she, a new writer on season 7 made Felicity, a fan favorite since season 1, relevant. Sure, Jan.

This is such an immersive movie. It's not perfect, but I just wanted to press replay as soon as it ended in the theatre. Just a wonderful viewing and listenint experience. While I don't know if Bohemian Rhapsody is the best song ever made, it's certainly the best one I've ever heard. And still, I'm finding myself replaying Love of My Life after seeing the movie. It's not one I paid attention to much before, but it's so wonderfully soft and depict not only Freddie's deep and honest love for Mary, but his soft side as well. The first bit is one of the things that put me off. Aside from insinuating Roger was screwing around in his single days, apparently they were choir boys while being a rock band in the 70's? Another bit of criticism was compressing so much on the day of Live Aid. I don't mind moving things around to make the story flow and honestly don't know enough about specific dates to raise a stink, but Freddie found Jim, took him home to meet his parents and then his band mates and Mary, all on this momentous day? I probably wouldn't have reacted at all if only they put up the date title card after Freddie located Jim. Just have them reconnect at an unspecified time during the preparations for Live Aid, like Freddie's diagnosis. As for Allen Leech's part, those sequences felt like watching Misery. Yeesh, what a scary psycho. The Another Bites The Dust scene was terrific. I liked We Will Rock you as well, but I think that may have been because of Gwyllim Lee's likeability. It was bothering me throughout the movie how I knew him and it took googling him to figure out it was from Midsomer Murders. Never would have figured it out on my own. And the camera work at Live Aid was simply breathtaking. ETA: This is from a Daily Mail article linked upthread: When was he depicted as a crusader in the movie? He literally only told the band and Beach, and then said he wanted to make music.

Even if Stanley turns out totally evil, props to him being able to come across as totally cute. His wave and ‘He’s the best’ were adorable.

Just got back from watching Bohemian Rhapsody and I highly recommend it. It’s not perfect, but it’s incredibly captivating and actually made me want to hit replay as it ended. As it is, my friend and I stuck around until songs were playing during the credits. We thought we’d get up after the first one finished, but then noticed other groups still sitting in their seats, so we parked our buts down.

Since DR is going to be busy directing, maybe there’ll be something else for Lyla to do aside from repeting their regular fight. I actually find it hard to believe that prisoners in Level 2 would have visitation rights. Maybe Felicity talks to someone else, like Stanley? Not sure how or why that would happen, but also not sure how Oliver would be allowed visits. Unless he’s deemed compliant enough after the end of the last episode.

It does look a bit like Willa around the eyes. Now, bringing Thea back would be a shocker among shockers. I don't expect that to ever happen.

The movie theatre scene gave me an assuredly unintended chuckle. I get that the old kung fu movie must have been used for copyright reasons. But to stage as it as an almost full house with everyone engrossed was hilarious. There should have been like 10, 20 people tops there. Two movie geeks, a group of stoned kids, someone making out, a few shady characters doing a drug drop off. Done. Why are they wasting extras on a scene that doesn't need so many? That fact that this is apparently the height of entertainment in Star City might be the saddest thing I've learned of the shithole so far.

Rene didn’t have the best day, even if you do want to get technical, he did have a breather to call Felicity when Zoe was taken care of. But, my comment was more about the fact that Felicity is apparently expecting to be left behind at this point and just accepts it as a given and presses on to the next person.

Like them or not, it does seem like the flashforwards are generating reactions. So far, I’m fine with them. For one, I think William is full of shit. Not anything born of ill intent, but I think he’s lying through his teeth. There are inconsistencies to his story. First it’s implied he’s never been to Smoak Tech (must have been something in its day), then he obviously has been there (this was Felicity’s office). Then I was thinking about him saying he didn’t know how to use Oliver’s bow and now I’m suspicious of that as well. I don’t think he’s a GA in the future, much less that he’s travelled back to the present. But he and Oliver were playing around with toy bows last season and I could see Oliver starting to teach William when he’s out of jail to reconnect, spend some time together, beef up William’s college application... So it would be cool if we saw him make a perfect hit and he tries to play it off. Beginner’s luck? Maybe that’s when Roy starts to get suspicious. Also, this all seems like someone (ahem, Felicity and Oliver) are assembling Team Next Generation. And they brought Roy there to be their direct commander. Clearly and reasonably passing over Dinah who’s still in SC. Until told otherwise, I’m convinced she set this shit show in the Glades in motion by being a sucky police captain and alienating the people who lives there, as was clearly shown in the present day. All in all, I don’t think the future will turn out to be that hopeless. Yes, things are clearly bad, but there’s hope in the fact that William is getting involved and Zoe already is. I fully expect other offspring to turn up. And it’s a lot to pass that feeling of obligation to the community and striving to raise it up to your kids. On a superficial note, man LoT’s SC 2038 (?) was a lot harsher on people’s looks than this SC 2040. Both Roy and Dinah are looking great. That Oliver could have been their grandfather. As for the present day, I honestly teared up during Oliver’s scene with William on the boat. Thisclose to blubbering. The thing about living his life was so brutal. I hoped that psychatrist suffered even before he started using torture. Die in a fire, there’s a handy crew of arsonists in SC right now. Apart from that preachy speech from BC (miss me with that crap, you didn’t just get revenge, you became a mercenary) and the odd choice to put her hands on Felicity’s shoulders, their scenes worked well. Poor Felicity out there, losing allies left and right. Even Rene never got back in touch.

Or we have Maya show up and roll her eyes at the abandonment story. Dude, come on, they put you in a boarding school for three months when you were 13. Are you still milking that? - Shut up, brat.

Here we go. Starts at 1:40.

Funnily enough, I just watched an old Michael McIntyre bit about Easter yesterday. I'll link it later if I find it.

I did some viewing over the weekend. First up, A Very English Scandal. It's completely bonkers and excellent, I highly recommend it. The conspiracy is the craziest, sloppiest ever, it nicely showcases how politicians have been full of themselves since forever, and it humanizes all the characters. While I found Jeremy amusing, I also thought he was a manipulative asshole for most of the three episodes. Those thing are still true, but a revelation of his past at the very end sheds a new light on him and is actually pretty heartbreaking. Then, Big Hero 6. Very good, but my God, what is it with these cartoons being so brutal? Finally, Black Lightning pilot. At moments it was almost like it got too real for a superhero show. Jeff and Lynn have smoking chemistry and he has to be the most patient man ever to still be sitting on status quo for NINE YEARS. I feel sorry for him with his girls. I mean, good for both of them for sticking up for themselves (even if the younger one was up for a wake up call), but I can feel his grey hairs popping up like crazy. Is his mask actually supposed to offer some concealment? It certainly didn't look that way to me. I guess no hand wringing over killings for this show, huh?

Yay, it works! Thank you. Now, let's get around to Rene trying to kill Oliver.
-
Nooo, the clip won't load for me for some reason. I don't know if it's a matter of location or a temporary glitch. Does anyone have an alternative link? Man, Felicity is just serving truth all over the place. Please, get to Dig as well.
-
Oliver slung over Diggle’s soldiers made me laugh. Also, I find it shocking that Felicity hasn't whacked someone with a stick for two seasons. It seems like way too long.
-
Thanks, @way2interested. I get why everyone digs the house. It’s massive, but not intimidating like the Queen mansion. It actually feels like a place where Olicity would live. It’s reminiscent of the Ivy Town house in a way, only on a bigger scale.

I don't know, there was a lot of loud, sarcastic, communal clapping when the characters did something the sophisticated group of 13-year-olds deemed stupid. That's another one that bugged. It just all seemed forced. Like, natural gasps and stuff I can deal with, but this was a performance of its own, and not one I enjoyed. Overall, a gaggle of rude kids who kept photographing the screen with their phones, left a crap ton of mess and at least one of them kicked a not completely empty bag of chip over the balcony with his foot after the credits rolled.
-
Here's something that pleasantly surprised me. I'm enjoying Brick. I hated him the firat time around, but while I miss 30% of what he's saying, I dig his interactions with Oliver.
-
In my defense, I was on the phone and the shape of the lowered window shutter reminded me of a toilet seat. For the record, if it was one, I'd think it was a great idea. As for the movie, apparently I'm not tthe only one annoyed because people are leaving comments on the theatre's Facebook page. Vindication.

True, but I felt this took it to a different level. I was afraid she was going to dislocate a hip with how much she was throwing them around. Maybe that’s how she became captain, the precinct held a pageant and her cat walk left the other candidates in the dust.
