About the baby in this episode, I think posters rightly deducted it was Amma. It's actually an instance where I thought how my familiarity with the book was distracting me. I was just thinking how the viewers are supposed to guess it was some random, visiting baby that it was in the book. Doh. It's Adora's baby on the show.

I can't help thinking about Vickery's line to Adora. One [of your daughters] is dangerous and the other is in danger. Now it feels like a covert warning or snooping around. In whichever of those two roles you cast Amma, it seems like he smells something fishy. Plus, both of those things are true when it comes to her. She's in danger from Adora, and she's a danger to the town with all the manipulation, even if she has nothing to do with the murders. If the Chief turns up to be more clued in and proactive than suspected, it wouldn't be the worst revelation.

I think that was Amma's twisted version of bonding. They'd get wasted together and then momma would take care of them together. In a sick way, it's actually sort of generous of Amma, who is obviously not a sharer, but now she's willing to share Adora's attention with Camille.

Wide use of modern media would probably ruin the claustrophobic mood the show is going for. That said, I think the kid who saw the Woman in White taking Ann was watching TV, and Amma's peers were sharing Camille's first article via social media, which pissed Amma off, because she was the last to know.

The scene in question reminded me of Camille's talk with Amma last week. If you let boys do stuff to you, they'll like you. It felt prompted by that logic, and I'm guessing it being fresh in her mind is the reason Camille did it. At least partially.

I find it interesting that Richard still put the files in Camille's car even though he wasn't feeling charitable towards her. It could be to warn her or to force her hand to set things into motion.

If you meant I was implying Ashley is the culprit, I wasn't. My point was that Amma and her pals had access to the house if they wanted to implicate John. I could see Amma doing that because John has been fending off her advances. All this if it even is Natalie's blood. John was working on the Preaker farm. He could have just had a work related injury and it was his blood.

The book is strictly from Camille's POV, so you see even less of Richard, so you have to go by what he says to Camille about when he started suspecting Adora. As I recall, he says it was pretty early on and he certainly never suspected John, he just used the fact the others did to cover up his suspicions. Alan is completely vague in the book, without any flashes of empathy and actual spark of life the show has shown him to have a few times.

I would have preferred to have seen Camille doing the leg work and hearing about Richard rather than have him just drop the hospital records in her lap. But oh, well. In a sick way, I’m sad that they cut Adora taking care of Camille. Out of everything, you cut that? Unless they have Camille subjecting herself to it next week to confirm her suspicions. Although, I am grateful to have skipped Adora’s temperature taking technique. ?

Her legs were definitely visible long enough and sunlight was streaming through the window. Even if he might not have read the words, the cuts were visible. Ashley’s younger sister is one of Amma’s minions and we’ve seen Amma hanging out at their pool. Either one could have gotten the blood there. Anne was killed first and months earlier for that matter. Natalie was still a missing person when Camille got to town.

No, I expect the killer still to be Amma. They may change some things around, preferably extend the ending, which felt really rushed, but not something so central. This has been a very faithful adaptation so far.

Speaking of Netflix rom coms, I came across some Youtube clips of The Kissing Booth a while ago. Is the as bad and romanticizing abusive behavior as the clips make it seem?

Oh, the lack of relationships between female characters I'm completely behind. Massive fail there. Even more than Felicity and Dinah, Felicity and Thea were on the show for more than 5 seasons and had like two and a half short conversations, which was a real let down. I harbored such high hopes for them after the 90 seconds of screen time they shared while Oliver was with the LoA. I can't say I even mind 510. A) Felicity was right for distrusting BS. B) It came after season of what seemed like conscious effort not to pit Felicity and E1 Laurel against each other. Hero vs. villain is fine in my book.

I don't think MG is a feminist or that good a writer, but I don't really think he pitted female characters against each other.
