  1. After it was revealed that Liz came from a Russian spy I was thinking Red was like Kevin Costner in the movie No Way Out who was a Russian mole sent to the Naval Academy to get the resume to get him deeply planted in the US government. For what ever reason he went rogue on the KGB. But then the camp on BL Redemption fits a little better especially with all the who is daddy issues. A plant wouldn't pass the dna test. Also the grandfather is part of a large group of KGB plants from early Cold War days? Also in the Kaplan backstory epi they kept talking about the affair Katerina was having with the American-OR fellow agent?
  2. My bad. When Ressler killed the government lady I keep on flipping first names of husband Tom and agent Donald. Apologies Ressler is a hypocrite and he knows it. Does he go totally dark, resign or somehow live with it. It's also blackmail material.
  3. I'm going with the Red imposter theory all the way. And yes the lady Ressler killed and disappeared should be an issue for the boy scout. What's his motivation now. Nor is Gayle taking pot shots at Red in the woods. Salvage the Redemption characters to bring down or expose Red. Also Kaplan used a double a few epi's ago. How many contigencies did Kaplan plan for including a flying leap from a bridge.
  4. At first I thought they were trying to address the continuing criminal behavior of a criminal informant or the enabling blind eye of the task force. But now I'm not quite sure what the last half season/Kaplan was supposed(will be missed-but contingencies...) to do except be a twisty as they could. All the dead bodies and Liz's betrayal of Kaplan were a disappointment I'm wondering if Ressler's tussle and 'clean-up' is the end and that's why agent Gayle was introduced. An ironic twist trying to show how Red got started in the criminal business?
  5. If Red has been broke for months how does he keep henchmen on the payroll, travel, bribe, smuggle. Mr Kaplan was going out of her way not to hurt people yet takes a guy's eye out. Red still killing and task force is still looking the other way/enabling the very thing they are being accused of. Sooner or later the show had to address all the crap but this is it??? Neutered go through the motions grand jury? They need to keep Agent Gale the rest of the show. Although he's a hypocrite too sniping at Red last week yet accusing the task force of crap.
  6. On BlackList Redemption one of the first epis was about a KGB camp that surgically altered and trained substitutes. I think they said it was there for decades. My theory is Red was substituted. Didn't Cooper say Red was captured and had to be rescued 10 days later. Plenty of time to finalize the substitution. That might explain his criminal behavior and aging differently than expected.
  7. Kirkman speech. Blah blah blah blah , typical politician speak Flashback scene of first meeting only decent one. This was a Maggie Q epi What will the General do next season, friend or foe is one of the bigger questions. They'll eventually catch the big bad. Virgina Madsen/speaker gone. disappointed. They should've showed Rob Morrow/s reporter guy in the bigtime saying I told you so.
  8. My guess is they'll closely track ratings and if they like it they might get another 10 or so epis next spring. I was pretty sure they were going to renew especially when they had nimah and shelby promoting the online game/website. Also fan reaction to Chopra's accident seemed strong(which epi was she filming at the time?) More Iris! Heck the name of the show Quantico, not agent Alex.
  9. LOL. Cliche, saturated with political subtext(as usual) and shipper filled melodrama-aweeee-lol. The 1980s called, they want Nimah to give their hair-do back. The only bright spot was FBI agent Iris and Will. They could/should make a spin off with them in it.
  10. I think the show's direction has been to clean up or make over Hank a little bit anyway. It is hypocritical. But setting that aside if the leader of a unit has a brutality or corruption problem for job security reasons alone you don't tolerate it. The cover up winds up being worse than the crime half time. She'll probably wind up suspended with a naughty notation in her file And Hank was right to separate Erin from her partner. And Jay was wrong to casually comment/ joke about it with Hank. Personal relationship issues should have zero tolerance especially in a job with life and death decisions.
  11. It started out tighter than usual and peeked out with Deeks debating what to do with the phone call. The 'proposal' was bad enough but exacerbated by basically discharging a weapon/flash bang at a terrorism crime scene. Unprofessional & lack of tact among their peers. And yes married or involved couples is frowned upon in many businesses, organizations etc. Gibbs doesn't like it. When Kensi & Deeks didn't wait for Callen that was predictable and I'm glad he got mad about the photos/evidence. Sam Hannah is two words! Got It!
  12. Another program not giving me enough tv show with my political subtext.
  13. LOL, Closeted killer voluntarily decides to lead a high profile life associated with a cult. What possibly could go wrong.
  14. Pesky details. So the blackmailer was set free or completed his sentence? In the prior epi the blackmailer said something about the noise he kept hearing-the struggle or something was off with Megan? When they were looking at her brain scan during Megan's trip back they said she was accessing memories really deep according the activity. Was that for the scene or something else going in Megan's brain.
  15. This whole season seems to be about laying down plot points so they can show them in the previous episode recaps before the new epi starts. I think P just told E Stan is off limits period. Also is this marriage "legal"? Is P thinking down the road a spouse doesn't have to testify against one another. Or was he worried about more zen moments with the wheat guy. Poop in a locker just made a kid suicidal. Ironic because Taun is a piece of poop. Did Oleg make an ally? Defector smiles showing front teeth. lol
  16. Callen acted more like a team leader this epi. As soon as Michelle said take care of Sam that's when I thought she probably would not make it. I understand wanting the talk to the hostage in a fridge but the best she could've done was nothing, fall asleep to save oxygen. All these other shows have police etc using infrared binoculars so why didn't the field teams have them. The entire FBI, police force etc seem get to the warehouse before Sam and Callen. I'm surprised with the Granger stuff this season they went this route.
  17. I for one like some tv show with my political subtext. Rinah -we're done our timeout-lol The show is B movie fare at best.
  18. I think she finally feels guilt that now that the black mailer/ wrong guy turned up dead. Also kidnapped against his will. This is one reason I'm having trouble figuring out who to root for. Being Hong Kong out of country she could make a full confession and I doubt they would reopen a closed case someone served timed for-unless he was able to prove his innocence. Was he out of prison for parole or new evidence?
  19. Megan's escape was a version of stupid things people do in a horror movie. She should've closed the doors on the van after she got out and just hid in the tree line somewhere. I was kind of hoping the killing of her step brother would turn out to be an accident or not true all. She still could claim ptsd or diminished capacity I think it is. Lexa Doig had the real transformation to the female dog really in charge. Ironic that this week in Tennessee the police shut down a Scientology facility after a man said he was held hostage there. https://jonathanturley.org/2017/05/05/tennessee-police-shutdown-scientology-facilities-after-reportedly-finding-people-held-against-their-will/ One last thing on 'burn it all down'. Could Megan have been assigned to test her friend the way she was tested by the facility instructor who posed as a reporter.
  20. The actor was listed as a guest star so either he's too busy, has other issues or they wrote him out. They did make it a point to show him entering/sending something on the computer so there's little or no need to keep the character alive to tell what he saw. The scene was standard b horror movie fare with a false alarm then surprise! As mentioned the lack of subtlety is like cartoonish. If not political subtext it's twirling mustache villain time. The only balance was the committee head trying to hold the line regarding back room deals and riders/sneak it in on another bill-real issue. Then prez snarkly remarked it's the oval office and not a backroom. Going back to Chicago PD live.
  21. Shark jump from sleeze & shadiness to murder & kidnapping. How did Megan afford to travel to Hong Kong 6 years ago. That story has holes if not purposely false. Didn't they mention in the Leah Remini series that any time a member gets arrested that the church tries to say they are mentally ill and need treatment? Will Megan's acting ability get her out of this one? She's shrewd at times. Didn't she use the campfire confession of her play colleague for a workshop already. Hopefully that ability to act and/or lie will save her. I hope that plot doesn't drag on. Disappointed in Lexa Doig's character. They are now at a point where it could turn into a show where no one cares about the characters. I think the lawyer lady/ex friend told Terrance. The naysayer who leaked the photos should save the day.
  22. It could be me but did the KGB or who ever brought Oleg in for questioning be one of the guys that approached Gadd in the hotel room in Thailand?-Never did find out what they wanted other than recruitment. On one hand they looked like agents looking for a lead or suspect to satisfy their bosses. But why then search Oleg's room unless they wanted to make sure he wasn't into anything that would bounce back on them. I think Martha finally gets the full gravity of her situation and consequences of her decisions. Still think Gabriel is there to fish information or set her up for an assignment. Still not buying Henry's 'success'. Setting up story where he comes crashing down? Did Tuan really catch their surveillance or was it a quick excuse? Story to be verified next week? Wonder if P & E taught Tuan take a measurement on the opening trick. E was very diligent using the ruler on the closet.
  23. I think the prominent scar on Whiting's neck was there as a reminder. That's exactly why I didn't buy her karmic transformation. Nor is the character stupid or naive. With a scar that prominent Whiting would be thinking if she wasn't investigating Deeks she never would've gotten shot ie grudge along with dealing with a frustrating suspect/case. Kensi wearing boots again? Great chase a suspect foot wear. Gold Bar in safe suspect office lady- don't need binoculars for that one.
  24. Was he the guy who said the country should've gone on full alert in the first few epis, acting like a war hawk. Then fired but asked back by the president? Also another epi with summer cover shots filled with green trees of Washington DC yet at ground level it's the middle of winter cloudy, no leaves on the trees.
  25. Ah the smell of political subtext & commentary in the morning or at the dinner table in the afternoon actually. Russia Russia Russia. Smelling follow up story/trip to Russia with in the next year. And I love how on these cop shows they walk into something like a sauna in winter street clothes and don't break a sweat. This has me steamed.
