Maybe I was just PMSing or something, I don't know, but I got very teary-eyed at the ending when Mara was speaking with the mother. The concept of using Reverie as a tool to enter the brain of the dying - help them come to terms for a "good death", make sure they can pass on messages and information, etc. - is very intriguing. I hope they find some way to pick up on this in the future, and that they continue to find story plots that aren't just "person doesn't want to exit private fantasy".

Add me to the list: watching Nikes diss the Broadway dancer was the first time I've seriously considered dropping this show. There was no call to say that behind his back on national television. What a bunch of cowardly assholes. -
Mardi Gras Indians. Thank you! Now I have a frame of reference to Google.

I really liked how understanding Mara was with the RotW (Reverie-er of the Week) and his illness. I appreciated that the mother and boy were also fully aware and sympathetic and looking out for him. I got the impression from the ending that with a little time the two adults might reach a more intimate rapport, but I liked that it was subtle. The possibilities of a Dark Reverie are intriguing, and it makes sense that such an innovative technology could be used nefariously. I imagine some of the arguments regarding videogames could be incorporated into this storyline.

I am utterly in love with how insane this show continues to be. -

I agree that if you want to do a few hoop tricks to show verstility, do so, but make it part of a genuine dance audition. I normally try not to get prejudiced against dancers before I see them in the actual contest, but: hoo boy, did Baby ever rub me the wrong way. Her routine was laughable. She got in for one reason only: that "Oooh, I'm so innocently sexy and sexily innocent!" vibe she was hustling for all she was worth. Watch her become one of the Top Ten girls on that alone (I'm behind, so this is my speculation) because #metoo can't change the world fast enough. Oh - and so far, Emily is the only dancer I've seen go through so far that isn't BBC (Bread 'n' Butter Contemporary). I felt her movements were trying to show actual emotion, which is a cut above the usual contemporary audition. -

I could see Zari and Mick. Anyone able and willing to spin him like a tornado when he misbehaves is likely to turn him on, eventually. -

I vote for a new guy named Jedidiah. He can be the first Amish Joker. -

In an episode called "Dancing Queen" I'd better see Oliver hoofing it at some point. That is all. -

I wonder: is this where the schism in the team starts? Nate is unhappy with decisions made about the Magical Fugitives and joins the Time Bureau because they're more in line with his sensibilities? Or does he have to join for a mission, ends up understanding the Time Bureau and their motivations a lot better, and ends up clashing with the Legends when he goes back? It's interesting, because I wouldn't have pointed to Nate as the catalyst for the infighting, but it's an interesting turn for his character if they go that way. -
I guess that depends on how you look at it, though. Something I find interesting: Ray and Mick are almost complete opposites, and you would think that would mean they should end up with opposite types of love interests as a result - yet almost everyone I've seen in fandom wants both of them to end up with a "badass" or "bad girl". Which makes one wonder why a woman who is a "good girl" or at least less traditionally "badass" isn't seen as an acceptable alternative for either character, even though they're so different. To me it plays into the anti-feminist notion that there's only room for a certain kind of female in superhero shows (although I don't think you feel this way, @Starfish35). "Good" or studious or law-and-order types of female characters are not automatically boring unless the writers themselves feel they have no intrinsic worth and therefore don't bother to write them interestingly. So it doesn't bother me that Sara's interested in a more law-and-order type this time around. Sometimes opposites attract; sometimes birds of a feather flock together. Both can be written realistically. But I like Jess McCallen and feel she adds a lot to the role, so maybe I just enjoy Ava more than most. I also haven't seen the early Arrow seasons so I don't have a Nyssa/Sara relationship in my mind to compare it to.

He has a lovely voice. I'd love for an episode to include one of Mick's ancestors who happens to be a really posh something or other from one of the colonies, just to give Purcell the chance to show off what he could sound like. -
I'm not too worried about the "Legends is a comedy" mantra. They've been a comedy for the last two seasons, which is 75% of why some of us love it so much, but they always know how to being the pathos and the seriousness when warranted, as we saw with Martin's last episode and Totem!Sara and a number of other incidents. Plus the spoilers have been given as to the Legends fighting among themselves over philosophical differences in ways that will have permanent repercussions. Klemmer and others aren't really talking about that with any kind of amusing spin - it's more of a "watch out, this is coming" tone - so I don't see the show taking a "Hah hah!" implementation approach to that storyline. Legends' comedy chops are what sets them apart, but they also kind of use it to mask the gut punches you might not see coming. So I'm mostly confident that they'll be serious when seriousness is warranted, even though they know they're "the funny show". They just know that the fans love them as the funny show, and they're reassuring us that it's not going anywhere.

I think right now it's not confirmed that Ray is breaking bad. People are just putting two and two together and predicting it as the most likely scenario. -

Aw, I'm liking this. It doesn't hurt that I spent two years in South Korea and there's a bit of nostalgia here for me. Also doesn't hurt that Jung is very, very nice to look at. Shannon and I are one here. -
I'd understand if they had established a rule that you had to work with the character's assumed orientations or something. But there were plenty of same-sex couples on that list with heterosexual halves, and it's not like AtomWave is unheard of, so I've no idea where the hell they were going with that.

My money's on Mick kidnapping him to the Waverider so he can play a practical joke on Ray.
