  1. Exactly. There are creepy ramifications to both of these romances if they're meant to be accepted by the audience as they're being written right now. On the other hand, if the writers are fully cognizant of these issues and plan to address them in due time, I'm okay with this as setup. They're doing an excellent job with Avalance, so I have hope (for now).
  2. This does not give me high hopes for maturity and realism in the Ray/Nora storyline. So Mick is still writing Garima into existence for sex stuff? That's...not healthy. Which: it's Mick, I get it, but I would be far more comfortable with both of these romances if I knew the writers would eventually address how creepy it is for Ray to be falling for the idealized Nora in his head instead of the real warts-and-all Nora, and Mick to be knocking boots with a literal dream girl instead of a real, imperfect woman.
  3. LOL If they don't actually go there, @johntfs, I hope you'll write it up in a fanfic for us. That sounds Legend-ary.
  4. Yeah, some economist on Reddit proposed something similar, that basically it was a runaround to give an explanation to the Time Bureau for expenses that would be otherwise difficult to explain.
  5. So if I'm understanding this right, we've at least stabilized in total viewers and demo over the last six weeks. Is that correct?
  6. ...okay, I need a Time Courier so I can see that caravan episode, like, now.
  7. I remember how two years back everyone on this thread would be high-fiving at the thought of Nate leaving the Waverider. How times have changed, and how good the writers have gotten. I'm sorry that he's taking a step back for a bit, but considering how hard everyone worked behind the scenes to get him the time off he needed it's really a heartwarming story...as long as his daughter continues to do well, of course. *sigh* I'm trying to be on board with Ray and Nora, but honestly it's a hell of a lot easier when the show isn't pushing it so hard. The best argument for Ray/Nora being worth our while is Brandon and Courtney interacting together. The show needs to chill. And for God's sakes, *don't* compare them to Ross and Rachel! Ross and Rachel sucked!! I am friendshipping Ava, Nora and Mona extremely hard right now, however. I really need an episode where they join Sara, Zari and Charlie for a girls' night out that's just sheer laughs and bonding for the entire episode (bonus points if Gideon can join by remote), while the guys face a monster and have the devil of a time dealing with it. And the fact that this would be the anomaly on Legends and not the norm is Reason 28463 why this show is so damned amazing. My biggest disappointment is that Rose Nylund did not kick ass as was suggested at the beginning. That better be a Chekhov's gun. You did promise evil dolls next episode right? It's honestly chilling to think that had Dominic Purcell succumbed to his Prison Break accident, we never would have gotten Season 3/4 Mick. What a loss to the world that would have been. Nate's parting words sounded extremely ominous. I'm hoping it was just an allusion to the actor's real world circumstances, but I'm half-afraid it means 1) cancellation, or 2) a schism so big it fundamentally changes the show and destroys the Legends insofar as they are our merry band of time travellers/demon hunters/revellers.
  8. Hey, Roaring 20s in Paris! Didn't realize the mise en scene would play such a part in this one.
  9. Legends of Tomorrow's Mostly Female Season 4 Cast Is 'No Big Deal Anymore'
  10. I'm gonna guess that Mona comes across Mick's work while with the TB/on the Waverider and becomes a fan then. Ugh, Nora and Ray sound like they're going to be as sappy as I feared.
  11. I just think Bill coming out with a blog post like this mere days after Stan Lee's passing is part of why I can't take him seriously. Of course he could have waited a few month and then posted to get a dialogue going, maybe even raise a couple of good points - but oh no, couldn't do that and lose the opportunity to shit on people mourning the death of an artist by insinuating their love of that artist meant they were overgrown children who enabled Trump to screw over the United States. Because ultimately the clicks and attention from controversy will always, always, always be more important to him than anything he has to say. I can't listen to anything Maher has to say because his asshole gets in the way.
  12. I just figured the bill came from the cleanup that arises from their time-saving. They are a chainsaw after all. They themselves may not be expensive, but when you and all your fellow Time Bureau agents are rebuilding the Berlin Wall when it was knocked down at the wrong time and chasing dinosaurs out of L.A. and flashy-thinging boatloads of innocent bystanders, you're probably racking up quite a bill that is directly attributable to the Waverider and her crew.
  13. I remember seeing a tweet a year or so ago where Keto I. was being interviewed at a con - she said the *very* first thing the writers do in planning a new season is determine where all the emotional stories for the characters are going to go that year. Plot comes afterwards.
  14. This was the greatest episode of anything ever.
  15. Hmmm. Hard to say. I wonder if they'll jump ahead to Anne's Queens days. I hope so because I'd love to see Priscilla and Stella, who haven't made it into any adaptations. That gives the latter of Season 3 or even Season 4 to show Anne teaching.
  16. I'd pay Broadway money just to watch her sit in a chair and talk for two hours.
  17. I really liked how this article about Nora rarely mentions Ray. I didn't realize how much restricting her to Ray's story was bothering me until reading this, where it seems clear she's getting her own story and relationships to other characters as well. I'm looking forward to this much more now.
  18. I think what I love about Legends is that it's just hard to try and label some of these characters that way. They just want who they want.
  19. Interesting. What puts Ava and Mick at odds, I wonder? Well, other than the fact Mick's entire existence is probably anathema to her, but what *specifically* is going to cause it?
  20. I agree, @johntfs. I have faith in these writers to make any pairing work, romantic or otherwise, because their understanding of who they are as characters is so deep. Which, in Mick and Charlie ("Chick" as I saw on Twitter)'s case, will have to get over my squickiness about the fact that he was in love (according to Len in Doomworld) with Amaya, and now Charlie's wearing her face. So is Mick attracted to the real Charlie, or the Amaya he couldn't have? I would prefer the writers address this for me to be fully on board.
  21. C.S.LEWIS!!! Yaaaas! Any hopes that the reference to a novel will tie into Mick's writing, I wonder?
  22. Just a general recommendation: if you've been avoiding Schitt's Creek because you figured the title meant it was going to be crass and offensive: stop. It's fantastic. The first two seasons are broad comedy as the pretentious and bewildered Rose family try to get used to losing their fortune and having to relocate to rural community Schitt's Creek. In the third and fourth seasons the show gets a warmer, softer, Parks and Recreation type vibe that still delivers on the laughs. Not to mention a romance is that is possibly the sweetest and most romantic one I've seen on television in a long time - it's simply the best. I can't recommend it enough. It's on CBC and Netflix in Canada, and airs on POP in the States.
