Bumping this thread to point out that the recent implosion of Lethal Weapon might have a silver lining for Gotham, at least. If one of Fox's sure-to-be-renewed series gets cancelled for other reasons, that might be the tipping point Gotham needs to get green lit for at least one more season.

LGBT Themes, Stories And Characters On TV
Miss Dee replied to maraleia's topic in Everything Else TV
Between Sara, Constantine, Leo and Ava - all of who have stories that use their orientations without reducing the characters solely to that - I'm surprised Legends of Tomorrow wouldn't be considered a contender for any of the GLAAD awards. Maybe I just don't understand how the awards work. -

These writers are great with callbacks. I hope we get a callback to the Mick/Ray trust fall eventually, one where Mick *does* trust Ray with something huge or impossible and Ray comes through...bribery not required! -
Tomorrow Today: Media & Behind The Scenes Of LOT

Maybe Oliver is outed, on the run, and the last scene is Sara picking him up in the Waverider...so the next season of Arrow and Legends has Oliver hiding out with the Legends for 1-3 episodes. -
Tomorrow Today: Media & Behind The Scenes Of LOT
Miss Dee replied to Trini's topic in Legends Of Tomorrow
I'm hoping the opening of some portal means we'll get literal legends and myths. E.g. something that explains how Johnny Appleseed or Paul Bunyan came about. Not everything has to be monsters and demons to require magic as a response. Maybe we'll get a bottle episode with mischievous pixies or something. Or an episode where the Waverider turns into a Hogwarts-like maze of magic and puzzles and conundrums and everyone starts cos-playing as Harry Potter characters. My point being, the presence of magic and supernatural beings doesn't mean things are going to turn all-Winchester, all the time. -
Spoilers & Speculation: Running Hot & Cold
Miss Dee replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Legends Of Tomorrow
...I'll just say these three things: 1) Legends has a habit of overhyping things re. the team. So I'm not going to panic just yet. 2) If any Arrowverse show has a hope of doing "Civil War" correctly, it's Legends because they understand their characters and they understand team dynamics. 3) Fans were hysteric over the addition of Zari last year and how she might ruin the show - no such thing happened. The writers knew what they were doing. Until they prove they don't anymore, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. -
LSSC: Season Three Episode Talk
Miss Dee replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Late Show With Stephen Colbert
I'm surprised there isn't a compliment in here yet about Colbert's take on "My Way". I usually think of his singing as competently enjoyable at best, but he nailed that ending. I was impressed. -

I'm fanwanking his subconscious didn't want a group hug without Ray there. ? -
Hopefully "face to face" with a mask in between?

Bruce going in for the hug with Alfred was everything. I loved it. All I wanted was for C.M. to play The Joker, as he did such a standout job as the proto-Joker I couldn't imagine enjoying anyone else in the part on Gotham. So I guess in this version of the Bats story, Jerome kind of gives birth to both The Batman ("The Gentle Art of Making Enemies") and The Joker. That's why they had the funhouse of mirrors in the previouslies.

Spoilers & Speculation: Running Hot & Cold

I really don't want Nora to be redeemed, only because we already have redeemed people like Mick and Leonard and Sarah and now Damian. Nora, stay bad, dammit! Somebody has to! LOL Yeah, they've pushed Ray's sunny, innocent nature so much this season - didn't Nate call him a flower at one point? - and they've really emphasized how nobody noticed he was gone when the Dharks took him. The characters take him for granted, in a way - he's always just there, sweet hopeful Ray whom you can count on to do the right thing as he sees it, no matter how boneheaded the rest of them think it is.... Yeah, Ray breaking bad would have the biggest character impact, not just on him but on the others. -

Stealing stuff or vandalism or a con job, sure. He'd get a kick out of it. But true evil? Watching Ray as his nature gets twisted and corrupted, like an Elf turning Orc? I think he'd sacrifice every limb he had to stop it. -

Calling it now: Nora's gonna turn Ray to the dark (Dhark?) side, not the other way around. At least temporarily. And it's gonna break Mick's heart. -

Yeah, I'm with @johntfs. The writers earned some trust this year with, assuming they stick the landing, what I'm prepared to call the very best season of the entire Arrowverse. Which is is not the same thing as expecting them to outdo this season next year. Hell, I don't know if this season can be outdone. I'll be happy if I enjoy Season 4 as much as I enjoyed Season 2. -
In the beginning, Snart always presented like he was holding himself aloof from Mick. Like he appreciated Mick's skills but ultimately he would screw Mick over to get what he needed, if he had to. This seemed to be backed up by the behaviour of "LoD" Snart, who was earlier than the one who boarded LoT. Which made Mick seem like the more loyal one, for all his faults. Of course we ended up seeing his true colours for Mick as he stayed on the Waverider, but Mick no doubt at the beginning had a sense he was being used by Snart to some degree and resented it. Whereas Sara has always been as straight with him as she's been with the others.

I keep telling myself Mick would be getting more focus in these episodes if his swan song was in the finale. I hope I'm right. -
Speaking of "the perfect woman" remark: I loved, loved, loved that Ray's response to that was that the perfect woman was a little too pale. I'm not surprised that a corporation would automatically assume the "perfect woman" had to be a blonde, and to fit the story of course all the clones had to look like Jes McCallen. But I'm really glad the show lampshaded the fact that too many people in the world would make the same assumption, and for a lot of people a white blonde wouldn't be the idea of perfection at all. And it's very fitting that the most moral person on the ship (not to mention the actor being a former Superman) was the one to call that out.
