  1. Everyone keeps bringing up Westons' acres. I don't know why since a friend once told me that you could buy a 100 foot by 100 foot plot of land in her small home town in Texas for $500. I realize bigger plots are more desirable and thus more expensive, but I don't think that the price tag is as big as these ladies are thinking.
  2. I admit that I was a distracted viewer tonight (drama irl) so I don't really know what's going on with Weston but I know I don't like it. I can't stand people who change their minds every five minutes like Kyra, Weston, and Caro are doing. Why am I watching this again?
  3. Kyra should move to one of the countries where polygamy is legal, marry two guys then alternate between them. Except that I doubt that would even work because she'd just crush on someone outside of the relationship. She has no idea (and no apparent desire) of how to stay in a relationship. She enjoys the chase and the grass will always be greener on the other side.
  4. By the way, all you have to do to prove that the earth is round is to look out of the window when onboard the 747 (or 777 or whatever) that flies from Fiji to the US. 747s fly at about 40,000 feet and the horizon visibly curves at 35,000 ft. I've seen it.
  5. Does Zac really think that the earth is flat? (I'm only asking because I had a college professor who actually believed that.)
  6. *Munchkins singing* Ding don, Tessa's gone! Has Hester ever made a wearable garment? The guest judge seemed underwhelmed by her despite the praise she was getting from the others. I predict that Hester''s collection will be the most colorful and poorly sewn on the runway next week. I will say that I liked Tessa's installation, but that says more about the set designer than her.
  7. They should have done a double elimination. This episode convinced me I would never ever buy a dress from Tessa. Because it's unseamed it would fall apart the first time it was washed. I don't think I would even wear one for free because her attitude is so awful.
  8. With regards to the bizarre treatment of certain characters: I think Noah (the only alien who was also a minority) was supposed to be a self made rags to riches story (with him going to Law School and then marrying the boss's daughter and getting the big expensive house and doing pro bono stuff for the community...) This is why it is so squicky to me that they made this positive character evil. Also his motives made zero sense. As for Guerin, didn't Maria think for ten years that he was a smelly washout brawling drunk? Why would she want any piece of that let alone as a boyfriend??? She makes no sense. She can do better. Alex wanting him makes a little more sense because of their past together... but like Max (with his Liz twenty year pine-a-thon) it shows an unhealthy inability to move on. And Michael. Ugh. He's such a mess that the healthiest thing would be to be alone, but no.
  9. I love how Kyle decided to mimic that scene from Forever where the doctor was dealing with an immortal villain so he decided to put him on a medically induced coma.
  10. One thing that surprised and annoyed me was that Liz apparently did not know about the Michae/Maria/Alex love triangle. It's been weeks. Aren't they best friends? Don't they talk between episodes???
  11. Well when he talked about Michael and Alex on promotional clips on YouTube he kept mentioning how important it was for him personally to do so, so I'm not surprised by it.
  12. Interesting. In my experience it can frustrating to "pass for white" as people always seem surprised when a German looking woman speaks perfect Spanish to them. And to paraphrase Max, "It's the South, everybody speaks Spanish!" Or perhaps a better example was my first day of school (after moving to the US) when everyone stood up and recited the words to something I had never heard before called the pledge of allegience and my teacher yelled at me because I was confused and silent.
  13. So I guess the scene with Michael's mother this episode confirms that Michael and the Evans are not biological siblings. I mean, if she had been their mother she would probably have asked about them.
  14. So I was looking at IMDb and noticed that there was a young Mara in the credits played by the blonde from Vampire Diaries and an old Mara played by Alaina Warren Zachary. So now we know Michael's mother's name.
  15. Noah killed to be stronger, not to stay alive I think. If the aliens at the death camp managed to live for 70 years without killing and presumably without acetone, then he didn't need to kill it just made him stronger.
  16. Paraphrasing here: Alex: All Jedi are telepathic. Kyle: Well I never saw Star Trek.
  17. Don't forget, they played Blackburn's song during that "you're my family" scene.
  18. This episode was 100% alien stuff and Maria is still in the dark so... 😧
  19. As I recall, in the previous episode Racist Hank had claimed that he saw a non white male chatting up one of the victims. So either they believed him and should have only been looking men like Kyle and Noah, or they should have suspected everyone including Cameron.
  20. Just a guess. Normally they would not be able to use anything from the OG show that wasn't in the books, but Antares is a real star in the sky.
  21. One bizarre thing; how come Max went to the opening with his forehead bleeding and not even a bandage, and not a soul there said anything?
  22. The false constellation Ophiuchus points right at another constellation, Scorpius. The main star in that constellation, Alpha Scorpii is also known by another name: Antares.
  23. So the episode today re-aired some of the flashback scenes from episode six and this song by Dido popped into my head: "Dear Isobel, I hope you're well, and what you've done is right..."
