  1. Also, I think that if you are an introvert and tend to keep your thoughts to yourself (like Max) you're more likely to be weirded out by Zoey's powers. Mo is extremely extroverted. Simon is an interesting example because he's kept his feelings to himself in the past and has been working to be more open about things.
  2. I'm curious as to the limitations of Zoey's powers. I think that one of the things going on in this episode was Zoe admitting that her real super power is making quirky vague comments and annoying (sorry, prompting) people into singing a heart song. Though that doesn't mean she's always going to prompt the right emotion/song. On that note, it would be funny if in a future episode she tried to deliberately prompt a heart song only for someone to see through it and for her to get "Leave me alone" by Helen Reddy as a heart song.
  3. When Cisco quit his powers he said something about wanting to be known for his brains (as well as being normal). Now he's got the mecha equivalent of his powers. So he's fine with superheroing now? I guess it was just being a meta that he was biased against? It doesn't send a good message. And as for the girlfriend, (whom I dislike because she talked Cisco into giving up his powers) this is the one episode that she should have been in since she was like the second or third person that the mirror monarch took. She should have been in that survivors' group.
  4. So Shawn is going to become a father after all. Interesting fact: In autistics vasopressin is below average. First time fatherhood leads to an increase in estrogen and vasopressin. What will that mean for Shawn?
  5. The emotionless genius stereotype needs to be retired. One of the sweetest people I've ever met also happens to be someone with a scary high IQ.
  6. From logic class: "correlation does not imply causation." Just because two variables have a statistical relationship with each other does not mean that one is responsible for the other. The patient informing the audience of certain facts does not mean that is what's going on even though she had something in common with the facts she stated. Claire could just have easily been biased because she was a pot dealer. Having said that, Claire was being a shitty doctor and deserved to get reprimanded.
  7. [whisper] I have the Scorpions on Pandora. [/whisper] My mom loved this episode.
  8. Pilot Knob, lol. That volcano is extinct, not dormant. It wouldn't erupt. It hasn't seen activity since dinosaurs roamed the earth. I did like the scorpions.
  9. So I actually thought this thread was about the impala, Baby. Baby is a cool car and is clearly as important to Supernatural as the Tardis is to Dr. Who. Also, I would love to join a Snarky Facebook group to talk about Supernatural. Someone please let me know if this becomes a reality.
  10. I liked most of the characters and loved the three main ones. I really liked it when they did interesting MOTW that I'd never heard of. I liked the hunting community; so often the Winchesters thought that they were alone when they really weren't. People like Bobby, Garth, and Ellen really showed that. Their treatment of heaven was unique; it was heaven at the breaking point (civil wars, lack of faith) and they did a good job of showing it. One thing that the finale got right was to show a restoration of heaven (it suffered from time constraints, but it was there) and free will. I loved Baby, the bunker, Dean's Rock music, the pop culture references, the badass fighting sequences, that blood don't end in family, the horror/creepy scenes, the chick flick moments (sorry Dean)... Well, you get the picture.
  11. Castiel: Jack, when Dean said he wanted to be 'nailed' in a barn, this wasn't what he meant. Edit: Okay, I know the comment wasn't classy but can't you just picture Cas with his monotone voice and his finger quotes and his grumpy expression saying that?
  12. I think that one of the things that bothers me isn't so much that he died but how. It was the way you'd kill off a character who's actor had a sudden scheduling conflict, not someone who's death would have been planned years in advance.
  13. This episode was definitely more of a doggy whimper than a bang. I liked Miracle the dog. If anyone feels up to writing a story about him, (I love the irony of Dean being the one to get attached to a dog) I would probably read it. (I naively believed he would actually be a plot device, but he was just the writers being jerks.)
  14. I just watched the episode with the Fernando guy eating a mushroom and getting really sick. I think the type of mushroom he ate was a young Termitomyces Gilvus found in Malaysia. It wasn't even properly identified in 2015 when the episode aired. Talk about taking a risk.
  15. Umm. Caleb. I get wanting to save your boy, but let's be honest-- how exactly has he grown as a person? Day 1 shallow as a puddle. Penultimate Day shallow as a puddle.
  16. I guess Connor is not long for this island world now that Moira's head is turned. I'm worried that when he leaves he will reunite with the psychological case study known as Mackenzie.
  17. Y'all are cracking me up. So glad Mackenzie is gone. It's early, but I agree that Kierstan traded up. I'm loving that Not!Johnny and Caleb are stirring shit up. Cely deserves to learn the truth, and I hope it happens soon, but I doubt it because the show is gonna milk this for all the drama possible.
  18. Carrington, Carly Simon wrote a song about you... I think Lauren should hear it.
  19. Ewwwwwwwwww... I willingly left to go do the dishes during the "challenge".
  20. The way she came on so strong has me think that Mercedes suffers from touch hunger. Touch hunger causes a bizarre form of depression where: "As they grow still older, they may, often out of sheer desperation, fumble into a relationship, putting all their physical needs into the hands of just one other ill-equipped person." (from Psychology Today.) I just think that, like, Sher's version of sexual confidence is more healthy.
  21. Should I start shipping Gregory/Izzy then? Eta: This season finale was tepid. Guess what nineties song was running through my head by the end of this episode? Hint: A Cranberries song that starts with "D".
  22. Wasn't Alex stabbed with an icepick in this episode? He shouldn't have been having a threesome, he should have either been A) in a hospital, or B) in a bed actually sleeping and doped to the gills on pain meds Kyle gave him.
  23. What's worse is that this happened after he admitted that the one time that he felt 'loved' (but he did not say attracted to) by a woman was in the seven minutes of heaven with Maria.
