  1. I am guessing Rebecca and Miguel are somewhere within 2 hours of NYC then, but still, making a detour north to Alpine is a bit silly
  2. Come and join us in the minutiae topic, we love steeping ourselves in things like this
  3. https://tv.avclub.com/the-good-place-annotated-everything-is-bonzer-1829368497 AV Club is going to be having articles every week annotating the episodes
  4. That is what I was thinking the second we saw her in the episode.
  5. Yeah, seriously. They could just go to the NJ/NY/PA area, drive around for a week or two, to understand what the area is like. You don't drive from Pittsburgh for the day to go to a Broadway show... and you don't make a pit stop in Alpine, it is not on the way.
  6. So, Deja said the Philadelphia apartment that Randall and Beth bought is an hour away? It's 2 hours from Alpine to Philly.
  7. 1. Toby going off his meds is idiotic 2. I am surprised the doctor doesn't want to have Kate even try to lose some weight before starting hormones and everything - I imagine at that weight, every pound lost helps
  8. tbh I was thinking during the part about stranger raising his child "wait doesn't his sister have kids? She is rich, she probably had a nanny!"
  9. Columbia is one of the T14, yes, it is huge
  10. Sourcing it properly is fun :D Better than saying "oh yeah they don't get paid" But since the actor who played Mike starred, I am guessing he probably had it in his contract that he got some flat fee
  11. Huh. I wonder. If that happens, I bet a lot of people on Lost got surprise checks. Time to go to google! According to a random person on Quora, they do not get paid for Previously On... segments
  12. Bring back Zach Anner The perfect job for Maya would be an advocate. She could help other families in IEP meetings... if IEPs exist in the universe of Speechless.
  13. Mike was in the "Previously On" and the woman Donna went to talked about "that lawyer"
  14. I can only hope next season is the final season, I think the cast could put on a good performance, if the writers can do anything halfway decent. I hope Katrina and associate-with-baby just stay friends. Don't have them get romantic, have Katrina find someone to spend some time with and have AWB help her learn to play with others - maybe Katrina will go through a few romantic partners while she learns how to turn off for a little while
  15. ehhh i'll just stay inside, was gonna head to the racetrack, but it's gonna be hell this weekend going anywhere
  16. well crap, I don't want to head to the shore this weekend, the highway is gonna be hell but i might have to
  17. I really hope Katrina and Brian stay friends, but then again, this is Suits, so the writers are going to go with the stupid option
  18. A lot of big charities like The American Red Cross spend more on fundraising then 5% - red cross spends 6.3%. The American Cancer Society spends an astonishing 35.6% on fundraising - only 58.4% goes to program expenses! ome smaller groups like charity: water spend 8.3% on fundraising
  19. That sperm bank Louis went to did not look like a sperm bank. And they have you fill out so many forms before you can make a deposit. Takes like 45 minutes, there isn't pre-registration over the phone, especially not by a random person making the appointment for you
  20. Oh yeah definitely - it's annoying how shows are like "OMG A CLINICAL TRIAL!" Few hours later: "omg ur cured!!!" I hop you're doing as okay as possible, given that you have cancer - I also have cancer. Chemo sucks.
  21. Fringe was able to make the shift it did because of a great writer's room. Fringe was a very special show, with execs that were huge fans, which kept it on the air. I was also hoping for it to go into "holy crap we changed time too much" this season, too. Since imagine if they went back to the bunker and found it empty - or worse, found it occupied by government employees, what if the bunker had started to be used by NASA or whatever agency it belonged to? But I am glad we will get the wrap up movie - and hopefully a time travel series with a fun cast like this that comes along later will do a nice mix of case of the week and overarching story (Person of Interest did the combination well for the first three seasons, then it went full bore into the overarching storyline for the last two seasons, which was *amazing*)
  22. It's NYC, they have very, very tenant friendly laws.
