  1. Huh. I guess it makes sense - I doubt many people get DVDs anymore, do they have any special features?
  2. isn't that below the series low for Timeless?
  3. This episode was okay I guess?
  4. Yeah, but I believe NBC owns Reverie - so if it carries a good percentage of viewers from the pilot, they would probably keep it over an unowned show.
  5. Could also be waiting for the Ep2 numbers for Reverie (airs Wednesday)
  6. From what I remember reading about Reverie, it had a lot of issues during production, so it only has a 10 episode season. It was originally supposed to be a January premiere, then a March premiere, then after everything else had ended in May. I think if Reverie performs a bit weaker, NBC would prefer a show with a strong fan presence (Timeless) to a show that has had a troubled production before it ever premiered. Well... I hope, anyway.
  7. Yeah, definitely - I was just trying to think of a way it didn't work before. Let's just say time particles - and the upgraded lifeboat has shinier time particles
  8. Well, it wasn't terrible, so there's that. It seems like a show that would make a good miniseries, especially with the intrigue they are trying to inject with All State guy & mysterious investor (Sounds like they are affiliated wit the government?) I hope that if it is between Reverie and Timeless, Timeless gets renewed.
  9. The contracts for shows usually expire June 30
  10. I think it could just be organic matter can't go back to a time when it existed. Because otherwise they would be unable to travel from 1885-2018 because of Jiya leaving the Lifeboat out in the open
  11. Journeyman was such a good concept. That season had good shows - Pushing Daisies, Journeyman, Reaper Wait, wasn't that the season that also had Kid Nation? That was a bizarre reality show. Anyway, I also think Reverie looks interesting, since I liked Sarah Shahi on Person of Interest, but yeah, it seems doomed due to having it premiere this late when it was announced as a midseason show at last years upfronts *and* it has had production issues
  12. I like the theory that its renewal is tied to how Reverie does. Its one of the few that makes sense at this point. Called it!
  13. My nerdiness is more focused on early modern european history (love french history - primarily 1783-1815) - with some american history thrown in through rote memorization (thanks K-12 history classes!) Also, all of the random crap I picked up reading wikipedia! A lot of stuff about inventors (Thanks, list of inventors killed by their own inventions!). And - whatever stuff comes up on Jeopardy - I remember a lot of random stuff
  14. I like Sarah Shahi, but if Reverie tanking gives Timeless a third season I hope Reverie gets CW-level numbers.
  15. I'm a history nerd, never heard of him before this episode.
  16. I think it was part of a larger scheme by Rittenhouse to disrupt the Union's actions in the south. And, well, killing Harriet Tubman would be useful.
  17. shhhhh, just let us have our nice fantasy world :P
  18. I liked the Myrnn/Ruby pairing. They should spend the rest of the episodes this season together. Maybe she'll take off the physic dampener thing, then Myrnn will help Ruby save Sam through psychic Martian stuff. Then the stress of it will cause Myrnn to die make it a bittersweet ending.
  19. Maybe he didn't like his son :P I wonder if they are descendants of the original Rittenhouse?
  20. Maybe NBC is waiting to announce anything until Sony exhausts all options to shop the show elsewhere? Since if NBC can say "we canceled it sorry guys" and Sony can say "Look! Netflix picked it up!" - no angry fans.
  21. I live an hour from NYC and i've never gone to the city to see the sights! My dad never took us because he works in the city and never wanted to go in on the weekend
  22. ugh ableist professors I had to file a discrimination complaint against a professor I had in college because she wanted everyone to bring in a milk crate a few weeks into class because she wanted us to put all of the papers she gave us during the semester in it. She just wanted us to bring them in, then she'd check it off on her list. Nothing else. I told her I couldn't drive, she said "well then have your parents take the day off of work and drive you!" That, and other things, led to me filing a complaint against her and getting an emergency withdrawal from the course. The state refused to take up the complaint - and the college Affirmative Action officer determined the professor wasn't discriminating against me - but it led to the two disability services offices the college had being made into one office (They had learning disability services and disability services). I think my case manager at the LD services got let go, because she almost got the college in trouble with the department of education - I was 2 hours from filing my FERPA complaint with the DoE when they called to tell me they had the records I requested (I gave them 45 days, to end of business the 45th day). Both colleges I went to had very accessible disability services offices. Well, sort of accessible. The community college was great. The place with the aforementioned LD services, that was like a 5 minute walk from the parking lot.
  23. He probably did, but didn't want to have Carol arrested.
  24. For news, check Deadline first, then AV Club or TV By the Numbers.
  25. Watch through the 5th episode. It has a *huge* tonal shift in episode 5.
