  1. I am loving the houses that they have to renovate this season but .... .. OMG... the contestants.... Possibly the worst group in many seasons.... I'm watching as I have always loved The Block but my snark levels and eye rolling are at an all time high.
  2. Nailed it!! I also wonder if they are weirdly making fun of millennials by dressing Kelsey and Liza the way they do?? Either that or they are so fashion forward it will take another lifetime for me to understand it or like it!!
  3. I have always enjoyed the Liza/Kelsey friendship dynamic - especially the way their working partnership has grown - so watching them tread water for the foreseeable future is gonna be hard. Don't care for the Kristin Chenoweth character....the real Kelly Anne Conway is enough to put up with let alone a horrible caricature of her.... #TeamCharles...Kelsey can have Josh....
  4. Wait! It's not official that she is leaving yet?? Perhaps NBC are still working on getting her to stay - at least for a handful of episodes to close things out for the character....the silence is really weird. I just assumed it was a done deal....*stupid me for thinking TVLine would only run with a story like this if it were a done deal!! lol *Rookie error by a non-rookie.
  5. My take away from this finale... Ryan Phillippe is shorter than I imagined... ....and thank god for renewals.
  6. I was confused about the nature of her murder not only because of Jerry's bizarre story but it was mentioned twice that at the scene her skirt was pulled up and her top pulled down.... It seems to be hinted at but perhaps as you suggested with the horrifying stories of sexual abuse maybe it all started to melt into one for me and that's where my confusion lies?? As for Jerry's story about the "vagina"...that was the part that made me do a complete 180 on him and his relationship with Sister Cathy. I am left wondering if it was more one sided than he portrays....
  7. I must be in the minority because I will miss Erin but it has absolutely nothing to do with Linstead. I barely noticed they were a couple when watching - their union had absolutely no bearing on whether I enjoyed an episode. I did note their breakup IRL however and wondered how long can the current situation last.....I got my answer today. Even if they are still on friendly terms it's gotta be awkward and emotionally draining to work the kind of hours they do with an ex....
  8. As the series progressed I became less convinced that Sister Cathy's murder was linked to the abuse she was intending to fight at the school. Not ruling it out but there appeared to be elements of sexual mutilation to the crime which in my mind don't fit with a murder that's simply about shutting someone up....?? Did I read too much into the sexual elements of her murder?? This seemed to be hinted at but not really focused on during the episodes?? Overall this was a gut wrenchingly sad thing to watch....my heart goes out to all the victims of that horrible man.....and the many other victims of the Catholic church....using people's faith to abuse them is absolutely abhorrent and then refusing to take action when the abuse surfaces is about as unGodly as a human could possible behave. What a disgrace. They were children.....
  9. It's ironic that the Zach and Tori thread has become the surrogate Jeremy and Auj thread lol Poor Zach just can't escape that huge hipster shaped shadow!!
  10. Is it true that Jacob is getting his own show about his "Jack Kerouac-ing through life" intellectual circumnavigation of America with his GF?? If so ..... oh the hypocrisy> But should one expect anything less from these reality sellouts???
  11. I wonder if she removed the post due to the abhorrent nature of some of the comments....so called Christians doing what they do best....
  12. Tell them it's the new 'thing' hipsters are doing and they just might give it a go!
  13. This is an all too common problem with "procedural" shows...the personal almost always gets lost in the wash. I agree, if you can't commit to telling good, consistent personal stories don't bother....in shows like Chicago PD, Criminal Minds and I guess L&O SVU you don't have too....the case stories week to week should be enough to carry the show....I find poorly crafted and written personal lives stuff just massively distracting most of the time....pretty much the reason I stopped watching Criminal Minds this season....
  14. Except no one would be sad it was put down.....like we were with Old Yeller.
  15. Worst episode of the season - what a colossal waste of Nathan Fillion. Oh well, onwards and upwards....this show seldom disappoints for too long!!
  16. Aaron Sorkin's wordy scripts + Kiefer Sutherland's breathy mumbling = brain bleed.
  17. I think I should clarify that my issues with the pacing weren't over the fact that he took his time to listen to the tapes it was more in the standing around starring, taking an eternity to respond to other characters, the deliberately methodical way they had him handle the tapes....it's extreme nitpicking I know but at times it really took me out of the moment. As for Clay taking his time to listen to the tapes....that I am more sympathetic about.
  18. Glad I'm not the only one who struggled with the pacing at times.....I really found the storty compelling but every now and then I was driven crazy by pacing....like Clay taking 30 seconds to turn the tape over??? Nitpicking I know but binging over 13 episodes it stands out so much more.
  19. Talk. talk. talk. talk. That was a lot of talking.... Can I just add JDM's best moment in the episode came when he showed the ever so slight hint of fear in his eyes as Rick told him he was gonna kill him (...come hell or high water, yada, yada, yada) Negan's best moment for me all season was when he was silent and slightly shitting his pants. I don't really know what to do with that....
  20. This has been an issue on this show from day 1!!
  21. I think I have missed something here so can anyone tell me why not one of the Kingdom-ers attempted to pull Morgan off Richard?? I kept waiting for it to happen and they all just stood there while one unarmed man manually strangled another??
  22. This episode should have been titled Morgan Is Tired Of Your Shit.
  23. Yep -- it was a quiet, measured, nuanced performance. Quite unexpected on this show....kudos to the actress.
