  1. I long ago decided (after reading the first 4 books), that at this point I only want to watch the show. I might finish reading the books, but ONLY if -- and this is a big if -- GRRM actually completes the entire series. Many of the plots are very different in the books than in the show, and there are about a million more plot threads in the books. So I only want to get back into those plots if I know that GRRM has wrapped them all up. As far as anyone knows, he may never finish the books. He's been promising "Winds of Winter" for years now. Maybe he has lost interest in writing them now that the show has already shown many of the plots much further along.
  2. *depressed realizing that Hodor and Summer are wights now*
  3. Hmmm, I may have to watch it again for, um, research purposes.
  4. Obviously the ranking is this: 1. Baz. Scott Speedman has always been hot. 2. Craig. HOT HOT 3. Deran. Those eyes, seriously 4. Nicky's dad. Yes, I am old enough to remember C. Thomas Howell in his younger days. But now I think he is hot even as an older guy. 5. Pope - body not face.
  5. I know! Guys in military clothes...hot. These guys in military clothes...hotter (especially Baz and Craig)
  6. They've replaced several actors in Game of Thrones, sometimes with actors who look nothing like the original actor! (Daario, Beric Donderrion) Yes! and I do like that she changed her voice (and accent too?) for Aneela; she sounded a lot different from Dutch. That was a cool-looking ship. I was really hoping now that Johnny's back (yay!) that they wouldn't keep the "nerds" on, but it looks like the annoying girl nerd is still there next week. I find her really irritating.
  7. they definitely ruined the cool character that was Four.
  8. Hey, these days I'm just happy when I meet someone IRL that I can talk to about the (sci-fi/fantasy) shows I watch, without them thinking I'm a "geek" or whatever.
  9. Really? I didn't know there were "teams." I just love me some good sci-fi.
  10. I loved both Farscape and Babylon 5 back in the day. I am still shipping Johnny & Dutch. I don't really want to see either of them with anyone else. Pawter was OK and I would have been OK if she'd stayed on, but now that she's gone, and J & D are leaving romantic "I miss you more" messages for each other, I think they should just be a couple already. No love triangles or drama, just a solid relationship. They have great chemistry. Well, we can hope...
  11. I love time loop episodes of sci-fi shows! This was a good one. Very fun, then turned all serious at the end. Three was kind of sexy speaking French. I wonder if it was hard for him to speak it badly at first, when he is obviously fluent. I enjoyed the sneak peek of Things To Come. Intriguing.
  12. I am so glad this show is back! It's one of my favorite shows. Dutch rules. I love the snarky one-liners (D'Avin's getting really good at those), and Fancy, Pree and Alvin being part of the team. I hope Johnny gets to keep his mod, it was cool and can come in "handy"! I hope they are not going to replace Clara with Ollie. Ollie's OK but I liked Clara better. Why are Dutch and Johnny not a couple? They really seem in love with each other.
  13. I was upset that Major zombie'd himself again. After all that trouble to get him the cure. But I hope that he and Liv can become a couple again. Their other relationships have not worked out well. Ravi was so careful before, testing his potential cures on rats, and now he just takes an untested vaccine, just like that? I'm guessing he will turn zombie, then later develop a vaccine, then a cure. Maybe being a zombie will bring back the witty, sarcastic, fun Ravi of the first 2 seasons. Honestly, I'm not sure I blame those humans who broke into the gun shop. They had just heard on the news that the city is full of zombies and thousands more have just become new, hungry zombies. I'd want a gun too.
  14. Agree with all the "Jason Dohring is hot and so is Major" posts. And there is definitely more chemistry between JD and Liv than between her and Justin. Poor Major and Natalie, they can never find happiness. As soon as he agreed to go with her to Italy, though, my first thought was that somehow he'd get zombified again. So I didn't see her death coming. While it's lame that Liv tried to justify her cheating on Justin by saying "it was the brain I ate", it would have been difficult, while on horny-brain, to resist JD...that hotel scene was hot. But we never got to hear what Liv's sex fantasy was! Liv's new look is really beautiful. I love Ravi but could have done without the cringe-inducing sex visions. It is really weird that neither Chase nor any of Major's buddies wondered how he got turned back into human again, when they supposedly don't know there's a cure.
  15. As long as there's free speech, it's all good.
  16. Dean in the bathrobe...mmmmm. A weird episode, but nice to have a break from Amara (who I'm not that interested in, honestly). Little kid Sam was adorable. The boys in their cardigan sweaters were so nerdy-cute.
  17. They've done too many ghost stories now. I feel like it's just yet another variation of several ghost episodes I've seen. The costumes were mega-creepy though.
  18. This is what I hope for the last scene of the last episode of the series -- just Sam and Dean, together as always, driving to the next hunting job, talking, laughing and listening to some good classic rock.
  19. Then I guess, by your "logic", we can never have anything on the internet that might upset anyone. Let's just have pictures of flowers and bunnies. And no one would ever be allowed to express their opinions, ever. Is that the kind of world you want to live in? I don't.
  20. You might like to watch "The Expanse" (for Naomi), "Killjoys" (for Dutch) and "Legends of Tomorrow" (for Amaya).
  21. I was wondering why did his car start with no problem when he needed to drive away. Made no sense. Also, when Gloria told another cop to "issue a BOLO" for Nikki -- Nikki was already an escaped prisoner (from the prison bus). There would have already been a BOLO for her. I didn't think Emmitt necessarily deserved to die. Yes, he was a weak weasel. But most of the bad stuff that happened was not his fault. Varga was the one who poisoned Sy and took over Emmitt's business, and Emmitt was too afraid to go to the police. He also didn't call an ambulance when Ray was bleeding out. So he was cowardly, but not evil. I really didn't like the ending. I so much wanted Gloria to be proven right, to finally close the case, and for Varga to get what was coming to him. Not writing an actual ending is bad writing. And did we ever find out who had really killed Gloria's stepfather and why? What was the point of that whole trip to L.A.? I think Noah Hawley's talents should just be directed towards "Legion," which is a great show.
  22. I think you need to look up what the word "offensive" means. The author wrote a review and found parallels in the story to real-life politics as he sees them. That is not "offensive." That is you choosing to get offended by someone whose opinion differs from yours.
