I really like the Detroit Classic Home. The wood and black kitchen was so good. And the mosaic floors —😍 I think my grandparents’ bathroom floor (in Detroit) was mosaic tiles. $175K. They’ve come a long way.

And why did he act surprised that none of the houses had a batting cage?! * As if shrewy wife would spend one minute in an RV with five kids. 😏 I shouldn’t have been fazed when she got rid of his desk in their “shared” office and made him use his laptop on a couch. I’m so old I remember when they never went to six figures. Otoh, these places were pretty much new. The zen place was nice, felt cozy instead of cramped. But no no no to the disco house. Sorry, I was having bad flashbacks. Couldn’t stand it the first time. Except Donna Summer, she was great.

Sing it, Chit Chat. My parents’ large 3B/2 1/2 B (with ensuite), huge kitchen, large living and dining rooms, family room and full basement home cost what a “must-have” appliance does today. Most people’s salaries, otoh, didn’t keep pace. By design, I guess we could say.

There are only so many weddings. But there are lots of wealthy people these days. Marketing to them for extended family stays, reunions of family or friends, etc. should attract them. The house is beautiful. Otoh, from my pov, I appreciate Bargain Block and the people they work for. It’s not an either or. But interesting that Scott went from helping couples grow their retirement funds to this — although I suppose these parents have a similar idea. But I cringe to think what the budget was. Scott Bros., Napiers and Hilary all be jealous.

I’ve come to appreciate the set ups and first HH. By then, I know if the HH are worth watching. Or if I need to click begone.

My sense was that the late son was from Alvin’s first marriage. If not, Melissa has some issues. Was her Mom’s room upstairs? (I was washing grapes;-) Because I old, like a bathroom close by and stairs everyday, multiple times a day? Pass. They all seemed happy at the end, so that’s a good thing. Fentanyl is absolutely a bad thing. Be careful out there.
