In order of age it is Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, Josie. My guess is Johannah in purple, Jennifer in green and Jordyn in turquoise. And we all know who Josie is.

I never noticed the shades on the front door or windows before. I wonder if those have been put up since the scandal.

I think the cancellation took so long for a plethora of reasons, money and reputation for TLC certainly being factors. I would guess TLC handled this more thoughtfully due to the fact that the show featured both the perpetrator and the survivors. Even if it appears that the girls are minimizing the impact of the molestations, the fact that it happened is undisputed. I doubt TLC would want to be seen as unsupportive to survivors of abuse.

I think it is great that TLC is airing the documentary, even if it is partly a PR move. Everyone knew the show wouldn't last forever, but I wish for the kids' sake that the ending would have been more planful. This is the only life that the little ones know and ending the show abruptly will most likely be unsettling for them. So Josh, JB & M are paying the price for what they did and didn't do regarding the molestations, but I feel that other family members are paying a price as well. Regardless of their politics, belief system, etc, when a parent loses their job it effects the whole family.

I think while growing God's army the Duggars did have a ministry mindset. However when JB blew the wad on a run for office, finances became the focus. Then in walks TLC and problem solved. I think the Duggars' ministry mindset never evolved though, and that they believed that spouting a few 'values' while people watched them on TV was it. With that said however, I have never heard one of their presentations on the Christian circuit, so maybe they are less simple when speaking to a like-minded audience.

Who is going to warn the innocent young men not to fall prey to the love 'em & leave 'em women out there?

Well I don't think they are blind because they have cars. And our kitchen window faces their home, so we would be apt to catch a light on a one point, because we are in and out of the kitchen frequently. They also haven't mowed there lawn since they moved in. I think Absolom may be on to something, the master bedroom is on the other side of the house. The man stays home, so maybe he cooks in the day, and they are bedroom dwellers at night. Or maybe they are Vampires, in the Witness Protection Program, or undercover Detectives ... ;)

Many dental plans cover orthodontia with a cap of $1000.00, though the various plans have different caps.

Weird or not weird? We have new neighbors of about one month, 2 adults in maybe there 50s. There living room and kitchen are located on the side toward our house. Neither my son, husband, nor myself have ever noticed lights on in either of those rooms. Being the un-Duggars that we are, are having much fun imagining different scenarios.

Is Jesus came to New England, I'd be like, "Dude, so which religion got it right?"

19 Things I Hate About You: How the Duggars Infuriate

...or there is no poverty because there is enough cash in America for everyone to survive. Like my then 3 year old would say, "Just go to the bank box Momma". -
Would the danger for them be more of the 'wrong place, wrong time' or are they in danger because of why they are there? If the latter is true i don't see how they can justify bringing a baby with them.

Imagine you had to give a speech with the caveat of only being able to use, say 100 select words. Think of how difficult that would be and the many mental edits needed. I'm not sure anyone would come off sounding too intelligent, so maybe that explains a little of why Priscilla, Michelle, Jana, etc sound like they do.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
GeeGolly replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
Pregnancy agrees with Anna, see always looks fresh, clean and well rested. The Duggar girls rarely look fresh & clean. Heehee, we all posted at the same time, yet all have varying opinions of the pic. 'Cept the feet, they do look on the larger side. ;) -
I think their plan is a long term mission; 1 - 2 years. They talked about this when they were courting. I wonder how long they will make it though. I consider myself a low maintenance gal, yet when my kids were little it wasn't always easy, and in addition to my hubbs I had extended family around. If they are in a place without the basics we take for granted such as indoor plumbing, electricity, clean water etc, I guess Jill might want to bail or at least take many extended trips home. But who knows.

So sorry WW. And wow, you guys are going through a lot. Your hubby sounds like a caring man, take time to talk, in those rare moments where everyone is fed and somewhat rested. Make a pact to try & be kind even in the crazy angry emotional moments you will continue to have. Find a mantra, like 'this too will pass'. Come on here and let it out. And find what ever resources are in the community for you. Hospital Social Workers, Maisie's pediatrician, your therapist - they all know of resources and supports - talk to all of them about the difficulties you are facing. Again, so sorry for you.

My oh my Jenniferbug. My thoughts are with you. Please do not second guess yourself. All your 'what ifs' could go the other way too; maybe she needed to be delivered early!!! Today you will have more answers, and I hope they are all reassuring. My warm & fuzzy thoughts are coming to you & your family. Hang in there kiddo.

Has anybody checked to see if anyone from the Duggar Camp responded to the Daily Mail Gothard article?

I don't know, it could be legit. She really could have been sleeping. Or she could have known and didn't tell when it initially happened, so lied when her family was told. -
Department of Human Services, is what? In my area that is the umbrella covering everything from state health care, disabilities, mental health services, and more. It also includes the Department of Children and Families.

I believe most cult joiners are either looking for something or are in a vulnerable place in life. From stories told, it appears they became more religiously extreme following the miscarriage, which can be a very vulnerable time. -
The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah

I see Jana as parentified. Too much responsibility, too soon. Footloose and fancy free is foreign to her. She probably does not remember a time where she not burdened with adult responsibilities.
