  1. I wonder too, what she is wearing in the pool with her daughter, in another pic. You can only see her arm and a partial profile of Alyssa's face.
  2. I think it is the angle. She still looks like the same Michelle to me, if you look at the thickness of her middle from front to back, and not the 'waist curve' from side to side. Re-read this, not sure it'll make sense to others... but maybe
  3. I was thinking that I'm guilty of lazy meals on occasion (cereal for dinner, cold pizza for breakfast, etc), however if cameras were around I would make an effort to display our healthy side. Then I realized either there is no healthy eating to be shown or those film shots were shown on purpose either by the Duggars or the film crew.
  4. Bristol might wanna cut herself off at 2 beers too. ;)
  5. Combined all together - checked-out parents, fear of the world at large, Gothard restrictions, blanket training, being on TV & too many children - equals empty vessels.
  6. http://www.ibtimes.com/anna-duggars-due-date-revealed-jim-bob-michelle-dish-about-19-kids-counting-stars-1736092 This article states early June .... So maybe any day now?
  7. Maybe the young ones, from Joy to Josie, haven't had anyone to really notice their interests and foster them. And without books, TV, nor regular exposure to other folks, how do they know what is out there? Most young children are given opportunities to play organized sports, take dance, and play with other children and their toys. I would think even their choice of interests would be limited. Did you folks know that one can be employed delivering bagels by boat to yachts that a moored away from docks?
  8. I think this is because much of their parents' influence is fear based. With believing the Devil is around every corner waiting to pounce, I imagine it is too scary to pursue anything that brings them to far from the compound. The girls would just have to give it up to fulfill their duties of helpmeets and moms in the end anyway. as Jill has already demonstrated.
  9. IIRC, someone mentioned earlier in the thread that prayer partners donate money. Does that mean it is likely that JB donated to Derick while he was in Nepal? Edit: Had parents where it should say partners.
  10. Julia & Mbutterfly. thanks for your feedback. Of the 5 on the team (minus Supervisor), 1 other teammate and I are the "awesome" employees. I have not, however, fed my Supervisor's ego, which I think is a great suggestion. Even though I have been working for more decades than I care to share, office politics is a huge weakness for me. I'm am going to use your suggestions Julia and hope for improvements. Thank-you again ladies, my mom was my go-to for issues like this, but passed away 5 years ago, so your feedback means a lot.
  11. I agree they are being a bit selfish to both Israel and Cathy. And I agree that Jill's attempts of support seemed to lack any sacrifice. However Cathy may be supportive of them going on a mission. I recall some reference she made a while back about cancer being the Devil's doing. Cathy may buy into God calling Jill & Derick to serve others.
  12. I posted this in the wrong thread earlier... Change of subject: The Bates. I do watch their show and see the blatant differences between them and the Duggars. However Alyssa married a conservative politician's son & Michael is engaged to a Gothard employee. Is the Bates family just more savvy & subtle (maybe having learned from some of the Duggar 'mistakes'), or are they more 'see how we live - if your life is lacking - join us'?
  13. I need some workplace advice. I work within a team of 6, including our Supervisor. One of the team members is out quite often, which leaves us picking up the slack. She is very negative and quite judgmental. The problem is that even though she frustrates our Supervisor as well, she seems to have some type of hold him. When she is actually at work, she purposely incites him to focus negatively on individual team members, and no one is immune. The Supervisor always ends up privately apologizing for his behavior to who ever was on the receiving end, but never realizes (or acknowledges) the connection between his behavior and the negative, oft-absent employee. It really makes the workplace atmosphere unpleasant. Any suggestions?

  15. Jill appears to me to be kind of a low maintenance gal. A little nutty-crunchy. If any of the Duggar woman are up for the challenge I think it is Jill. Well, maybe with the exception of Josie.
  16. I think Jessa may have realized the benefit of the little house by now and may want to stay there. Less room, less room for guests. I don't think she wants to keep playing house with her mother's children. Now she is free to stop by the TTH and go home alone, cook for 2, and wake up with only her needs and Ben's needs awaiting the day. With that said, image-wise she may want the Mcmansion. Which will win out, practical Jessa or celebrity Jessa?
  17. Oh my goodness, WOW, Wanderwoman. It is not even close to fair how much you have had to deal with in these last few months. As you plod through all your & Maisie's medical procedures keep up with your mental health care as well. Warm & fuzzy thoughts coming your way. On a lighter note, maybe you should consider changing your screen name to Strongerwoman.
  18. Maybe Jill will bring one of her buddies along with her.
  19. And you 'JTTH-ers', please pass out Skittles while you are there. ;)
  20. It was 2 handed and more like a horizontal sack of potatoes, and she didn't want her blouse to get dirty.
  21. I wonder if Israel's size has Jill thinking he is more developed than he really is. Even the way she was carrying him at the conference/festival event they appeared at, the baby wrap was around Israel's bottom and Jill was supporting his back rather than his neck area. Or maybe he is stronger & more developed because of his size. I also wonder if Israel's size confuses our senses, as in he should be brighter and showing more personality, when he is just really leaving the 'floppy-just existing' stage.
  22. So then there are 3rd generation Gothardites. Has it grown? Are the 2nd & 3rd generations raising their families the same way? Not sure if anyone has the answers but my curiosity is piqued.
  23. There is a lot of talk about one or some of the kids going rogue. I'm curious, is Gothardism fairly new? And what are the statistics on extreme Fundamental Christians belief systems being carried down through generations?
  24. https://www.facebook.com/1561331044117771/photos/a.1561336054117270.1073741828.1561331044117771/1608296356087906/?type=1&fref=nf I would love to see a before dental work photo, side by side with the Siver Dollar City photo of Derick.
