  1. Yep, he talks about the not-Robyn mothers in a derisive manner on national TV and thinks his kids will be unaffected by it. Or else he just doesn’t care. If I were one of the not-Robyns wives and heard Kody say that he’s done some “crazy shit to get into heaven,” I’d call him out on it. I’d ask him exactly what things did he consider “crazy?” Marrying me? Having our children?
  2. I wonder that, too. Would Ysabel had pain in the ribs as well as pain in the back? I don’t doubt that Ysabel was in pain post-op. Everyone has a different level of pain tolerance, and I hate when others try to minimize anyone else’s pain or compare their pain as worse than another’s. When my daughter had to have a tonsillectomy as an adult, one might have thought it wasn’t that big a deal pain-wise. Wrong. For around a week she was in pain— and a lot of “discomfort” days more when eating or drinking.
  3. My friend had it done in 1978 in Manhattan, I think Mount Sinai Hospital? Don’t know all the medical details of why she had to have a cast. I just remember asking her what did she do if she had an itch.
  4. I had posted before that my friend in high school had the rod surgery many many years ago. She had to be in a body cast for months. Also, there was limited movement even after a long period of time. I don’t know if the rod surgery is easier now or if there are advantages over the tethering surgery. Both surgeries have scars, so I don’t think that would be the primary reason, unless all other things were equal.
  5. I do wonder if the nanny isn't some relative of Robyn's that is living with them--wasn't Robyn's niece living with them in LV? I know that niece did not move with them, but maybe they asked (enslaved) another relative to live with them for free room and board. Not saying that it justifies anything about Robyn and Kody needing a nanny/ full-time babysitter, but maybe that's how they'll explain the COVID issue? If not, I got nothing.
  6. Loved the show, but I wanted to eat chocolate while watching! All of the participants were talented in their own way, and I could imagine any of them making a delicious dessert that I would want to eat—but I think the right person won. He was the most well-rounded in terms of artistry and pastry skills.
  7. One of these days, I wish one of the not-Robyn wives would just let it fly and tell Kody off. I would pay money to see that. What have they got to lose?
  8. I mean, I love me some comfy pjs--and I would even wear them to a friends get-together--BUT, if they put my pic on social media, the friendship would be over!
  9. Yeah, it reminds me of a little girl’s hairstyle— that combined with VS lingerie— ew.
  10. Well, Kody’s right, he is NOT the head of the family, Robyn is. Many people with blended families, shared custody, etc. have had to find ways to mitigate their COVID risks in order to keep to court mandated visitation and custody schedules. A divorced parent couldn’t just deny the other parent their visitation or custodial time because they didn’t agree with their protocols. Kody has the “luxury” of decreeing that he won’t visit because he lives with Robyn full-time, which I suspect has been the case even well before the pandemic.
  11. Also, their mother went on TV on gave a talk about how their bio father stole her “cookie.” Also, trashed talked him when she was trying to get them adopted by Kody.
  12. Yes, I’ve heard him call Christine a “ princess” more than once on the show— he apparently feels that anytime she asserts her wants and needs, she’s a princess. Robyn, however? Oh, she only gets scraps. She’s the most sweetest, self-sacrificing wife! 🙄 Kody doesn’t want to officially cut the other wives loose because of his ego, and he doesn’t want to look like the bad guy. However, he looks worse, imo, by not manning up and just say that he wants a monogamist marriage to Robyn.
  13. Yes, never understood "hating" a team--and questioned my husband about that (I don't really follow sports). He told me he doesn't like certain teams because they beat "his" team out of the playoffs or a championship? Or that certain team's fans are a-holes --I live in PA and Philly fans are notoriously rude, even violent at stadium games? Whatever, still don't get it. My pet peeve--my neighbor to the back of me using his loud saw to cut down trees and branches, then using his wood chipper to get rid of them. The weather has been nice, so he's out there a lot for hours. I hate him. (PS I know he may have to do this chore, but I still hate him, lol)
  14. Which is why I think this show should be done in America with American judges (not Paul)--other incarnations of this franchise do so--even the Canadian one, so why not the US one? I think it limits contestants to those who can travel overseas for an extended period of time.
  15. You’re probably right, it was likely for a photo op and I hope not a regular occurrence. I was thinking the same thing about the baby having no molars and was concerned about a choking hazard.
  16. And sending Mariah over to Christine’s for meals sometimes—when the princess didn’t like what Meri was serving. Also, wasn’t Christine’s pantry raided by the others at times? I’m not saying that the kids should’ve been permitted to traipse through Meri’s willy-nilly at all hours, but supervised when going to Christine’s for childcare and meals? There definitely should have been a compromise, imo.
  17. Someone said that there was a cinderblock or cement wall between them, but that is not impossible to deal with. Kody probably didn't want to spend the money. Kody should have taken his leadership role and said to Meri that if she wanted privacy, she'd have to take the basement apartment. If not, find a way that the kids can access Christine's inside in bad weather, especially. A "hallway" could've been set up though the living area with instructions for the kids not to go anywhere else--and only use it when Christine was watching them. But then Meri would've have to give up some space, and she needs that space for all of her lovely furniture and tchotchkes (and spirit kids). If Ari or Sol had to put on rain/snow boots to go outside to Christine's--oh boy, imagine what Robyn would've said, and the spin Kody would've put on it. Did Mariah have to go outside in the cold, snow, or rain? No. That's why Meri didn't give a shit.
  18. Yes, I read that many Chileans have European ancestry--as well as Indigenous peoples ancestry. Chile is a melting pot.
  19. Re:Pizza—I’m not vegetarian, but I do not like meat on pizza. If there’s no cheese pizza at a gathering, I might take a slice of pepperoni, but take the meat off. When I order pizza for a group, I always ask people what they prefer or just order a variety— the CHEESE pizza always gets finished first.
  20. I think that one had to quarantine for 14 days when coming to NJ from out of state when Ysabel had her surgery. So Christine’s two week vacation comment, while a dig at the king and queen of COVID protocols, was actually referring to the NJ governor’s request. Also, Ysabel herself needed to quarantine and be tested before surgery. If she had caught the virus, surgery would’ve been postponed or canceled. My best friend in high school had the rod and spinal fusion surgery done. She was also in a body cast for months— it was a painful recovery for her, but this was done many years ago. Ysabel’s surgery likely was no picnic, either. And, from what I understand, the surgery should be done while the patient is still growing— so it cannot be put off too long.
  21. Prue has a very interesting history, both career-wise and personal!
  22. For me, the issue really isn’t about Mariah not telling Audrey’s story so much as it is about Audrey not thanking her partner for supporting her or anything in her post mentioning Mariah at all. Also, Mariah could’ve just posted one of her memes or platitudes obliquely referencing the situation and supporting Audrey? But as I posted before, may I’m reading too much into it.
  23. Well, she IS a best-selling author, dontcha know? And she has her fabulous podcast 😜 She is not happy because having Chris' second child and building a bigger custom house still didn't get him to commit to her. Karl is using money and material things to fill some sort of void--hopefully she'll someday learn that, apart from necessities, more money does not necessarily make one happier. It's the law of diminishing returns.
  24. Yeah, I agree and I also saw it as a flex or power move-- "Look at what I can make Kody do, even though he can't stand Meri".
  25. And because it was on camera, I'd bet that Kody wouldn't have wanted the Boss (aka Robyn) to see him hugging Isabel. Even if she didn't see it 'til the show aired, Robyn probably would've been angry and caused a tiff--or shut the gates on him temporarily.
