  1. In my mind, the machine just communicates with Root because she is the only one who treats it like a real person. They may end up explaining it as something else but I felt as if Root reaching out to it woke up the sentient aspect of itself. Although, it displayed self-preservation before and an attachment to Harold, so what do I know? A little too metaphysical for me. :-)
  2. I have seen the work print floating around and it isn't a legend. It was a very good scene, explaining how the Sheriff came to be half man, half robot. Maybe it will be on the dvd...
  3. I know that Wyatt doesn't seem to be the most popular character around here but I felt sorry for him today - listening to his clueless bride go on about her ex. And I had to laugh at BSC Quinn, so very proud of pushing Ivy in the Seine and Hope into Wyatt. Which scenario is going to be the deal breaker for Hope - finding out about the psycho m-i-l machinations or the fact that Ivy seems to be holding Liam's attention? Ridge not being able to draw was eye-rolling at first but it's starting to get interesting. At least it's different than the endless WTD and paternity switch storylines on most soaps.
  4. I have never seen Touch but kids rarely work well in network tv series. Once Upon a Time is one of the few exceptions that I can think of and there - only just.
  5. I was hoping the show would be a cross of Numb3rs and Leverage. I guess not on the Leverage, but if it is half as entertaining as Numb3rs, I'll give it a chance. (Although unless they sideline the kid, I probably won't stick around too long.)
  6. Felicity doesn't really look much like her tv counterpart in this Arrow 2.5 pt. 1, does she? Unless something interesting happens in the next issue, I don't see why you couldn't wait until the whole thing comes together.
  7. So, not sure if this should be in the comics section but spoilers and all that... Arrow 2.5 pt.1 just appeared on my tablet (I have Kindle app on my Android) and I'm disappointed. It took like a minute to flip through and there's no connection to the season finale. I thought we were going to get some info there? There was a fight on a plane that would have been all kinds of fun if they could have filmed it. :-)
  8. I appreciate all the storyline info. I'm quoting these because they appear to still affect people on the canvas. - I wondered if Stephanie's sister was the same person as the pearls lady who hangs out with the security guard. Thanks for confirming that. - I have no idea who Bridget is so I suppose I should look that up. :-) Sounds like that was a great soapy story. - Is Ridge a Forrester or not? Does B&B do that retcon of retcons thing I hate so much - especially with paternity stories?
  9. I didn't know Betty White was on the show so I checked out some Youtube clips. Wow. I'm so used to sitcom BW - those are some amazing scenes.
  10. ... when you see a picture of John Barrowman and you go deer in the headlights while your brain short circuits... Captain Jack Harkness - Malcolm Merlyn ... Captain Jack, Malcolm Merlyn ... Jack, Malcolm ...
  11. Thanks, blackwing. See, that's what you can't get from a wiki. :-) Maybe Quinn will get thrown in an asylum and they can bring back Amber? (I know she was a divisive character on Y&R but I liked her.)
  12. The only reason I noticed is that soaps are so bad when it comes to workplace settings that I appreciated it, even if it was a rushed, throw-away line. Some of the frustration I have with the idiocy of daytime would be reduced if the writers used them more.
  13. Do I want to know what happened to Amber and Little 'D'? I was watching Y&R off and on when she left GC to go back to LA.
  14. I know who Hunter Tylo is (sort of) from reading headlines - is she still on the show? Back in ancient times, if you wanted to watch a new soap, you found a friend or a relative who watched and pestered them with questions. I hope I'm not annoying anyone with questions that I could look up in Wikipedia but for some reason I like the unfolding and getting to know these characters. I think reading all the backstory would kind of ruin the experience I'm having.
  15. Hope did say something about an early lunch or that she was taking lunch - something like that.
  16. I was kind of disappointed when I finally watched today's episode. From comments here, I was hoping Wyatt suspected Quinn. I'm trying to remember - does Deacon know she pushed Ivy off the bridge? Or even know she went to Paris? (I delete the episodes off the dvr once I watch them - maybe I should keep them until I figure out what's going on.) Not sure if it's okay to ask this but if it is, I was wondering what you all would say the top 5 or so iconic storylines for B&B are (that are relevant to a newer viewer) and if there are any links to clips on Youtube or other sites?
  17. Maybe (maybe) in a publicly traded company or a non-profit but isn't DE privately held? Or at least the Dimera's must own the majority of the stock. Seriously though, if one of the Waltons or Kochs wanted someone gone in pretty much any company, they would be gone so fast your head would spin. I think the power of publicity is ineffective once you get to the billionaire stratosphere (and they aren't running for office).
  18. Y&R does this but personally I don't care all that much. I was just trying to figure out what was going on. I'm used to other soap boards that tended to be strict on not commenting on the days episode until after it finished airing. :-)
  19. That scene is the first time I liked Wyatt as a character, though I have felt a little sorry for him in scenes with Quinn. As a newer viewer, I find it odd to think that Liam is Bill's favorite son because I've been getting #teamwyatt vibes these last few weeks. And I had no idea Ivy was "core family" - I thought she was some kind of assistant.
  20. First a question - does Days air early in some places? Where I live it's on at 1:00. It seems like some people comment on the current episode earlier than that. Second - a comment on yesterday's show. When EJ was asking Sami what she would do for his help, I flashbacked to when he forced her to have sex to save Lucas. I'm guessing that was intentional on the part of the writers? But when did EJ go from wanting Sami back to just evil bastard wanting to punish her? I've been watching for Sami's exit story, and don't think I've skipped anything but when did he have this about face?
  21. It's been a long time but I thought that Dorian accepted the situation? I didn't mean like give her up for adoption but more like not fighting for custody? (Or maybe it was more like once she was in a position to find her, she didn't want to disrupt her life?) But like I said, it's been forever. It was special enough that I think they tried to recreate that with both Adrianna and Langston.
  22. Best secret/unknown offspring storyline - Dorian and Cassie. I loved it, especially cold hard-nosed Dorian having had a child with a musician and then giving her up to - what, pursue her medical career? (I'm not sure if they ever retconned that but it's what I remember.) One of my favorite stories on OLTL. Worst secret/unknown offspring storyline - Rex and whoever. (Runner-up, ironically enough, Dorian -again- and Adrianna.) Honorable mention for permanently unknown offspring - David's high school indiscretion.
  23. Sorry, I didn't know that Bill Spencer was a Jr. I can't believe that Liam actually told Hope about Paris. On other soaps they would drag this out for weeks or months even.
