  1. Well, that was depressing. As soon as Jude disagreed I knew he was a goner but I was hoping I'd be wrong. I'm uncertain how I felt about the romantic angle but I did like the search part of Celine and Jude's story. I wonder if it's possible that Jude himself is the Second Coming? Or at the very least, she stops crying, checks him and find he's not dead. But we never did see him in the bunker. Boo. If you have Netflix I highly recommend watching Lowe (and the rest of a remarkable cast) in The West Wing. Though I too loved him in Parks. I'll keep watching because I want to see how this ends. And how Rhonda gets out and down to the bunker. I'm betting on Scotty.
  2. Her voice was gorgeous. I think she just became my favorite of the female vocalists. Yeah, that was a real WTF moment. I was torn between Katie and Ryan but I did think she would get stolen. Ryan was my favorite male singer from the blinds so I'm glad they're both still in it. Ditto on It's a Man's World. Enough already! Please. Tied with Chain of Fools for never, ever again.
  3. I really like Incubus and Brandon Boyd, and Drive is a good song. But Adam was so right when he said it was wrong for him (forgot his name). And then he went on to prove it. That ending with Joe was a lot of fun. Very cool moment. Blues guy Matt could be interesting, plus I love me some "hippie" hair. Otherwise kind of a blah night with several voices I felt I'd heard before. I'm really tired of belting divas who pull out too many runs. And Chain of Fools should be retired forever from singing competitions.
  4. As long as there are no zombies, I'd watch a second season. I have no idea why I really like this show, but I do. A lot. However, zombies would be a deal breaker. I missed Megan Mullally this week. I thought she and Jenna played well off each other.
  5. I have a jacket that looks almost exactly the same! And, yes, I'm a girl! ;-)
  6. Thank you, Genie, for giving a cautionary look around before saying something incriminating in a public hallway. No one ever does that and it drives me crazy. Poor day player nurse. I liked her and she seemed decent in the scene. Having another nurse would be a good thing; it's a shame they wrote her as kind of dumb. Curtis is hot.
  7. It's 10 episodes. Since they did fairly well their first season - decent viewership, the Golden Globe nomination - it's possible they might get a bump up to 13-16. But I think she'd definitely still have the time. I'm happy for her, two regular gigs!
  8. That's what I heard too. That he has a process and a way he does his homework but he wanted to play a completely different character. And that he got conflicting notes and direction both as Todd and as Franco. That's the first time I've ever seen Howarth talk as himself and out of character. I think I get what he was trying to say. And he seems like an okay guy.
  9. Glad to hear that. Casual is an odd duck of a series, but I did like it and probably will watch the second season. And for Julie Berman, it was nice to see her play someone not even remotely like Lulu. She's quirky and fun; now that she's a regular I can see a possible story for her and the male lead.
  10. Kristina has turned into such a brat. She might want to watch her mouth since she has her own secrets to keep. I loved Diane today. NLG, on the other hand seems to have forgotten how to act. And I used to really like her. Sam's dress was lovely. And Lauren was looking quite pretty as well. I think all of the Paul stuff is the writers way of trying to do a reset. Some parts are working, other parts not so much.
  11. OMG, what a dork! Hee! A cute and funny one though, so in a good way.
  12. I became a bit concerned for Rob Lowe's character during the mob attack. I don't recall seeing a shot of him in the bunker, not so far. Interesting about the Four Horsemen. I hadn't thought of the four story lines in terms of that framework. Now I feel like I should have!
  13. I have the same theory and I haven't thrown it away as a possibility. Look how long we thought the impaled, not-a twin was dead. And it looked like such a setup for a fake death; I'm fifty-fifty on her wearing a vest and some fake blood pellets.
  14. You are me. I loved this show when it was on and love it still. I watch at least once every year, usually twice. Most of the episodes I skip are Shaw related and in the first half of Season 3; I don't pass on the episodes where he finally becomes a full on villain. Oh, and I always skip Chuck versus The Murder. It doesn't feel like it's even part of the series, so I don't miss it. The Season 2 finale, Chuck versus The Ring, might be my favorite episode. They threw in everything but the kitchen sink and yet it all worked so beautifully.
  15. I liked this episode and I'm still in. I'm not even bored by any of the separate stories line. At least not yet. I don't even have a weak link as far as the actors and characters go. Again, not yet. For some reason I just think the show is a helluva lot of fun. And I usually hate apocalyptic or dystopian stuff. So I consider myself pleasantly surprised. Mathew Baynton - I only know him from Spy, a UK series that aired on Sky1 and (I think) was only on Hulu in the U.S. And I'll probably love him forever for the 47 seconds of perfection that is "Why'd You have to Hurt Me Bernie? / I Hate Bernice." Edited because autocorrect is weird.
  16. My favorite part was Kiki assuring Morgan that 'exquisitely' was a real word. He'd need that, you know. I wish they would write that Kiki has tired of her nickname and now wants to go by Lauren. I think HE is getting better; getting rid of that annoying name would go a long way in the likability department. Why have I been watching Sam/KeMo fiddle with laundry and then lie on a basement floor for a week?
  17. Just watched the video with ME. If I wasn't aware that The Soup was off the air, I would have said they had posted it. As for ME himself, you never know what you're going to get. I thought he was fine as GH McBain (did not like OLTL McBain), sucked as Live Silas, and then was good again as Dead Snarky Silas. The Caleb thing was just weird. I wonder who the hell he's going to play. And if they are going to pair him up with Lulu ...
  18. My UO - I have never thought Kin Shriner was very good actor. There's something about his speech pattern; on his Ps and Ts I always think he's spraying his acting partner. It pulls me out of all of his scenes. I've seen old clips of Scotty and Laura, way too saccharine for me. Then when they turned him into a villain he became too much of a caricature. The only story of his I ever liked was when he was with Dominique. It raised his game and from then on I always felt she was the love of his life, not Laura.
  19. When Jake saw Sam at the bottom of the stairs, and he proceeded to clap his hands to his face and gape his mouth, I thought: "Oh look; he's doing the Home Alone face." Though I do feel bad for the little guy. They are writing him way out of his depth. ETA: I will not see today's show until tonight. If they hit him with another car and do-over Ron's do-over, that will be weird and I'll likely feel a bit guilty. But I just can't believe they would kill off the Jake character... again.
  20. I started crushing on Zachary Levi by about episode 5 of Chuck. Did a few YouTube searches and hearing him sing sealed the deal. He's about to open on Broadway with Laura Benanti and Jane Krakowski in She Loves Me (nope, never heard of it) so it could be a while before he's on TV again. If it's successful, that is. Definitely. They're adorable.
  21. I never gave Dax Shephard a thought, at least not as crush-worthy. Nada, even though I would occasionally watch Parenthood. Then over the weekend I saw a video he and his wife posted a few days ago, taken during a trip to Africa. Toto, lip syncing, hippos and giraffes ... And I got jealous of Kristen Bell.
  22. That's Megan Mullally. Will & Grace, Tammy 2 from Parks & Rec and other stuff I can't think of right now. I really liked it so I'm definitely in. I agree with the poster upthread it would make a good binge watch. I'm ready for the next episode as in immediately. So, yeah, they've got me. As far as apocalyptic comedy goes I like this a bit better than Last Man on Earth, but I'll probably watch both. They're quite different. And I'm enjoying Lowe as the priest more than as The Grinder, which has become very one note role, IMO. It's good to see Jenna Fischer again!
  23. And this is right where I stopped reading. Aw hell no.
