  1. I liked the Culver City couple! It was refreshing to see a couple that was willing to compromise for their spouse instead of being a selfish jerk. I hated the 2 different colored cabinets in the kitchen. They should have just used all grey. Are farmhouse sinks usually almost $3k? If it were me and I needed to stick to my budget, I would be fine with a $500 sink. I don't understand these people who spend so much money on lighting and appliances, which in turn causes them to go so over budget. There are less expensive alternatives out there.
  2. I don't like the "cookie cutter" term either. Why don't they just say they don't want a tract home?
  3. I didn't like OC wife at all!! She seemed way too entitled! B!tch, you're 27, you don't need to work and you're looking at million homes! Instead of complaining how "tight" the master bathroom is because it didn't have 2 sinks, be thankful that it's not the only bathroom in the house! I like the husband a lot. He seemed grounded and kept reminding her while she was complaining that it was functional or it is better for the kids. I'm assuming they could afford such a pricey house because he came from money (grew up in Newport Beach) and probably got money from his parents or took over his parent's business, etc.
  4. I can't believe how over budget they went!! And the 3rd floor still needs to be completed?!!? I'm sure they will never get most of that money back when they decide to sell. With all the money they dumped into this house, they could have gotten a beautiful house that needed minimal,if any work. Considering he's a lawyer and she's a structural engineer, neither one of them seemed to have any common sense.
  5. My personal opinion...I think they used Shake Your Rump because of the cheering at the end of the song. It made it seem like all the kids were cheering for their performance when in actuality, it was part of the song.
  6. I wasn't a fan of the kitchen either. I don't understand why she didn't move the sink under the window (on an angle). That would have given her more prep room on the counter. The cabinet color wouldn't be my first choice, but it was OK. I agree about the kitchen floor. It was way too busy. I think it would look awesome though outside as a patio.
  7. This show just gets worse and worse!!! The ONLY reason I watch it now is so I can LOL while reading Otto's review :)
  8. I could only get through the first half and had to turn it off. It was just awful!! Being a resident of Iowa, I was completely turned off how they represented the state. It's less than a 2.5 drive from Chicago to Iowa and when you cross the river into Iowa, there are actual cities. No, they are not Los Angeles, but they aren't TinyTowns either. Yes, there are rural areas, but we huge towns too. And the loose meat sandwich?? Seriously?? This show really has gone downhill. It pretty much sucks at this point! Okay, rant over.
  9. I enjoyed this episode but I was distracted because I believe they borrowed the story from the documentary "The Imposter". If you haven't seen it, watch it. It's so bizarre!! This episode will be less confusing if you watch the documentary. I do hope fake Mina returns, she was crazy brilliant.
  10. The Chicago couple tonight was fine except for Tyler. Holy smokes that dude needs a personality! His voice was so boring and monotone...he could cure insomnia. I couldn't tell if he was happy, upset or anything in between. I hope they donated the "old" kitchen cabinets, appliances, etc because everything looked new.
  11. A bit OT, but has anyone watched My Lottery Dream Home? It's basically HH with people who won some money. There is no board for it yet so I was just curious.
  12. Question... How come DB basically sits in the office all the time. If I'm not mistaken, there have been crime scenes with blood, guts, etc and he's nowhere to be found. I don't get the point of him coming over from CSI just to sit around and be Avery's BFF in office.
  13. I totally agree that the Dallas guy was a total douche. I think she is such a pill because she's married to him. He needs a whole decked out office to check his email?! Seriously?! Next time he leaves the house for the day, she should move all his crap up to his theater room. And I agree, some bangs on her would look so much better. Also, she should time down the harsh make-up. She has a really pretty face and it's hiding behind all that bad make-up.
  14. I think I'm done with this show. Weller is just awful! His personality, acting, etc is that of a wet noodle. Now if they replace Weller with Rich Dot Com from the previous episode, I'll gladly start watching again! I think I'm done with this show. Weller is just awful! I don't know why this posted 3x. Sorry!
  15. It went on the market in 2012 for $499,000, and is still for sale, with the price dropped down to $299,000 It was originally listed for $629,000! And with $14,000 in property taxes!
  16. I just read that it was only going to be a 13 episode run... like the Mentalist. Tie up the loose ends and then cancel it. I wish another network or Netflix, etc would pick it up. It's such a well written, smart show...one of the very few that I actually pay attention to the entire time because I have to and because I want to.
  17. Some people in Cal convert their garages into guest houses or pool houses, etc. I'm assuming that's where Gerald lives... In the coverted garage.
  18. Otto... I was going to quit this show. However, I will continue to watch just to read your commentary and questions!
  19. I've been watching Where Are They Now all week and am I the only one that is fascinated when these homeowners go so over budget? They say their remodel budget is $50,000 but they spend $100,000!! And they just chuckle and say "I got what I wanted." or the one the other night (I think it was AZ) that went like $200,000 over budget!! He just laughed out off! It just floors me because they act like it's an extra $50 over, not $50,000! Or $200k!
  20. This episode was horrible! The whole thing with Boden was wrapped up way too easily. He tells the "victim" to tell the truth and she's all OK, let me spill my guts and so will the street hecklers. Dumb! Obviously, Chilli is mental. She either has a drinking problem or thrives on getting in trouble or both. Glad Patterson changed his attitude, and I'm glad to see him go. The whole Freddie thing... Really show? "take it back, take it back" Are they on the playground? I'm sure Herman will live, at least he better, or I'm done with the show.
  21. I was not a fan of all the red throughout the house. I fast forwarded through all the construction/drama so I was surprised at the reveal that they removed the fireplace and hardwood floors. Those would be the two things I would have kept for sure.
  22. I really thought the deaf violinist was going to write "I can hear!" since the entire episode was all happy endings.
  23. I've been watching this show since S1 and tonight was the first time I turned it off... after the first commercial break. I'm done with this show. JM's wig was so awful tonight, it was distracting. Running for Senate? Really? Luca is not Kalinda so stop trying to make her K2.0. TGW is such garbage now that I look forward to watching crappy CSI:Cyber.
  24. HMB wife was HORRIBLE! Even her friend admitted it, but in a nice way. I have heard about the grout "rule". It's not so much a rule, but it's more about the wider spacing is more aesthetically pleasing on the floor vs more narrow grout lines for countertops and blacksplashes, etc.
  25. LOL @ Dr. Douche and Dr. McTrauma
