  1. I recently ordered 2 jars of lingonberry sauce. They came wrapped tightly in bubble wrap. It was hard getting them out. No breakage.
  2. This past winter I was discussing something (can't remember what) with my sister in emails. Later on that day I had ads popping up on Facebook related to that subject. It's kinda spooooky (as Christopher Walken likes to say).
  3. Hoo boy...I've done this too. One of my 'friends" posts several religious things each day. She's a nice person so I clicked on that "hide everything from so and so". If I don't want to go that far, I click on "snooze so and so for 30 days". In the meantime, once a week I check their FB sites to see if anything new and/or funny is being posted.
  4. I've done that a little. My sister loves doing it. I think the folks unhappy with Facebook probably are the ones with a *lot* of "friends" and are trying to keep up with all the gazillion posts. I know some people who have 500 friends. One person has 1,000. One time I accepted a friend request from a high school friend of my sister. Yikes! Each day she posted several recipes. I clicked on whichever thing quietly unfriends people (I bet she never noticed).
  5. The only people who can see what I or my friends post on my page are my *friends". The general public can see my name and a photo (of my cat) on my profile page but nothing else. I use my first two initials + last name. My sister uses our Swedish greatgrandmother's first name + a photo of a Dahla horse on her profile page. Keeping it small and private enables me to enjoy it w/o being overwhelmed.
  6. Did you have some ligonberries with the meatballs? Felix is the best brand. I can't find it in any of my supermarkets so I now order it from Amazon.
  7. People can grouse all day about Facebook but I have thoroughly enjoyed it. As I mentioned a while back, I think of it as being one big family & friend photo album come to life. I only have 15 "friends" as I rarely accept friend requests from people other than relatives. It's peaceful, sometimes funny (jokes & stories), and I have a few private groups among my "friends" so we can quietly share photos w/o boring the others (came in handy when our grandson was a baby, toddler).
  8. I'm not a redhead but I too refuse to watch any sad stuff in which animals are not treated well. Heck, I can't even watch nature shows.
  9. Slow Cooker BBQ Sweet Potato Bakers. If you like sweet potatoes, rotisserie chicken shredded, BBQ sauce and sour cream, this is a quick and easy meal (it also calls for some cheddar cheese but I always skip that as IMO it's a bit too much...YMMV): https://www.realsimple.com/food-recipes/browse-all-recipes/slow-cooker-bbq-sweet-potato-bakers Also, I just nuke the sweet potatoes. Then, add the rotisserie shredded chicken, bbq sauce and sour cream. So simple & you don't have to get out your slow cooker/Crockpot.
  10. I made Giada's Lemon Spaghetti and added some sauted shrimp to it, along with a salad.
  11. Thanks. Yes, I read the book, "Seinfeldia", & loved it. I bet quitting a job, then returning the next day as if nothing happened, was the episode Jason felt wasn't credible. Larry David is a piece of work.
  12. A few years ago I read that Jason said he once remarked at a table read(??) that whatever was going to happen to George in that episode wasn't possible or credible. And Larry David said, "It happened to me". Does anyone know what this was about?
  13. I made Ina's Herb Roasted Fish using tilapia. Also pilaf, and spinach.
  14. The thing is...they all were so different cooking in their own homes (except for Sunny who was never in her own kitchen). Jeff wasn't acting like the class clown & showed us what a nice dad he is, Katie didn't seem to have vocal fry, Alex didn't feel obligated to make cooking pointers, and GZ was a whole different man in his own home kitchen, esp with his sweet daughters and wife. And the foods they prepared were interesting.
  15. I was thinking of the neighbors of the houses David showed them and how they dodged a real PITA issue. Having a basketball half court in a backyard means some serious time hearing basketballs dribbled hour after hour after hour.
  16. This is what I plan to do as well. Sunny's bellowing, Jeff "literally" driving me up the wall, and uninteresting recipes have turned me off this show.
  17. Confession: I missed it cause I too slept late!! 😄
  18. I can't believe over a million people watch this show...especially now that they're back in the studio.
  19. "Frank's Place" starring Tim Reid (he played Venus Flytrap in "WKRP In Cincinnati"). I think it lasted one season in the 1980's. Very funny!
  20. No. This guy *really* wanted to build a half court for his sons (& himself, I guess). Hilary did something in the back yard and he was happy, if I remember correctly.
  21. Chris Rock can be hilarious but, unfortunately, he seems to need to use the F word every few seconds.
  22. Jerry could never win an Oscar but his acting got better each season. Plus, I don't think any other TV show created so many popular phrases ("not that there's anything wrong with that").

    MSNBC

Elouise Judy Bear Dokouplis, brand new daughter of Katy Tur. Not sure if I spelled the first & last names correctly :>)

So, if you don't get the answer you want after "maybe 2 or 3 attempts", what's next? A verbal beat down?
  25. We're going to have that Brown Gravy Style Meatloaf from mantitlement.com blog, along with small roasted Yukon potates, and spinach.
