  1. Maybe after Nurie pushes out Jill's #1 granddaughter, Renee could watch the younger Rodlets so Jill and Dave can have a rare (ha!) night out on Pastor Nathan's dime. 😜
  2. I bet Jill sang along with the performers, "blessing" the audience with her musical stylings.
  3. I was puzzled by the sky in Prime Jason and Daniela's original universe. I kept seeing 2 lights (sun rising or moon setting) in the sky. There were also 2 orbs shining when they were driving in the car, escaping the vacation mansion. Maybe that was to show that it wasn't meant to be our universe. I haven't rewatched yet. Maybe it's nothing.
  4. Tim probably is astonished that people swim at the beach instead of in drainage ditches!
  5. My Mom went on that cruise several years ago, with a friend. She absolutely loved it! I've always wanted to go on one. My sister went on a different European one last year and had a good time, but they went kind of at the wrong time of year. There were a lot of worker strikes going on, which I think happens often in the spring. Then my poor sister came home with Covid. My husband has no interest in cruises. But I hope to do a Viking cruise one day, maybe with friends or one of my daughters. My oldest and her family are in Paris right now (no cruise) and having a great time. I'm house and cat sitting at their house and hanging out with my middle daughter and her kids. Those two daughters and their families live in Sheboygan.
  6. Nice pic - it reminds me of the cover of Tapestry. Very cool, and I bet you still are!
  7. Heart pain again. It's either hurting or overflowing every other day. Maybe she should see a doctor. Thankfully Plexus cures everything. 🙄
  8. I don't think there's anything unusual in our set-up. I've only seen it once though, when the stove was pulled out to install a new floor. I do think that because our stove is cornered, there's more space for him and that's why he chose it for his "safe space". Once he's behind the stove, he also has access to go behind the dishwasher and I'm guessing there's a lot of wires back there. I just don't want him back there. He's a big guy, about 17 lbs. I wish he'd choose a more reasonable hiding place!
  9. it's 90 here today, but kind of windy, so not too bad. I've got robins sitting on a nest on my front porch. I put out some water for the parents and any other critters who need a drink. Yesterday was unbearably humid.
  10. Thank you so much @shapeshifter! I'd say the result was really good. I have some cysts that the radiologist thinks look benign. She wants me to do a follow up ultrasound in 6 months to see if they've changed (grown), but she thinks it's all good. I'm so relieved! I don't even need a needle biopsy. I made the appointment for December and I'm so relieved! I nursed my 3 babies in the 70s-80s too. I hope that helped to prevent BC. I think doing the 3D for everyone reduces call backs, which relieves stress for patients! I'm so relieved!
  11. Today I'm heading to the Breast Center for Mammo 3D Tomography Additional Views and Mammo Ultrasound breast diagnostic limited (right side). I haven't done this before. I know they are specifically looking at a "mass" along the chest wall. I do have dense breast tissue, so I'm not surprised. I've been called back before, but never for an ultrasound test. I understand that they want a better look and I'm hoping that look will tell them I'm fine! My good friend had this exact procedure at the same place and she did have to return for a needle biopsy, which turned out to be fine. Her sister died from breast cancer, but I have 3 sisters, none of whom have had breast cancer. Still, I did have radiation as an infant on my thymus gland, so.....I'm kind of freaked out!
  12. He's nearly 5 yo, but the shelter found him as a stray, so we have no idea what his life before was like. We knew he wasn't a fan of men, but he warmed up nicely to my husband. Our guests have all been female and it surprised me that he was so afraid of them. We have lots of good safe places, but he does seem focused on behind the stove as that was his first safe space. I believe we'll take @secnarf's advice and figure out a way to permanently block the stove. How I wish he had chosen under the bed or our closet instead!
  13. Leo. He's a sweet, cuddly boy. I'm thankful for him every day!
  14. I've been a lurker here, but I don't think I've posted before. Early this year, we lost our nearly 19 yo black kitty. He was a very social boy who never hid from guests. We honored his memory by getting a sweet, orange kitty a few months ago. I'm including a pic for pet tax! He is fine with me and my husband, but fearful of visitors. We thought he was mostly opposed to males, but a female friend stopped by on Friday and he was reluctant to come out. She's a bit of a cat whisperer, so she won him over within a half hour. Then our daughters came to spend the night to celebrate Father's Day. They are also cat fans. He was terrified of them and went to his favorite hiding space - BEHIND THE STOVE! I hate when he does that. He did it the first night we had him and a couple of times when we had visitors. We tried blocking it with pool noodles, but they could not deter him. We provide plenty of other hiding spots, but he's rather single minded. We may have to build something made of wood to block that space. Our stove is rather oddly placed in a corner, so he has access from the top and sides. (The stove looks cute like that, so I get why it's in that spot.) I'm terrified that he'll damage the gas line! We got a Feliway dispenser, hoping that would keep him calm, but so far nothing has worked. Any suggestions?
  15. In episode 6 some (like me!) were puzzled about which Jason was flirting (unsuccessfully) with blonde Daniela in the gallery. I was thinking about it last night and I wonder if that was Jason 3 (who "now" has a splint on his pinky finger) or perhaps another Jason, since we now know that there are more. That would explain why he was doing such a poor job of flirting. He may have been new to the game of trying to get back to his old life. It just didn't seem like something original Jason would have been doing at that point.
  16. The boys only tell her she's gorgeous (if that's even true) because they know she has to hear accolades all the time. In discussions about narcissism, it's called getting supply. If they don't supply Jill with feel good about herself compliments, they know there will be hell to pay. That's life in the Rod home!
  17. I'd prefer to imagine those kids being born into a family where they were cherished, educated, encouraged to be active in what interests them, and fed regularly
  18. When I finished this episode, I foolishly thought that Evil Jason and Original Jason are going to have a stand off in the coming episodes. Boy, am I a dope! Reading here and listening to a couple of podcasts, I learned that the Jason who has the splint on his pinky is yet another Jason and there are likely more. I guess I should have read the book in order for the series to make sense. Instead, I'm losing interest. Multi-verse travel is interesting, but to me, I can't care as much about the supposed protagonist when he becomes so diluted.
  19. I slept on my right side and sometimes on my stomach for years. After recovering from a frozen shoulder, I never sleep on my right side. It's either on my back or on my left side, if I need to change positions. I do use a body pillow and I have a Sleep Number bed. It took a while to get used to back sleeping, but I'm pretty comfortable with it now. Good luck, @RealHousewife! In other news, I have had an African Violet that my daughter rooted from a cutting from her very healthy plant, for a couple of years now. Hers blooms all the time, but mine never did....until yesterday! I did finally give it some African Violet food and I use a grow light and it did the trick!
  20. He could work for H&R Block or some other firm, doing taxes at tax-time. In fact, I though Izzy was wearing an accounting t-shirt in a recent photo and I wondered if Derick was already doing that?
  21. My SIL loves decorating, so she made a cute schoolroom when she decided to "homeschool". They never used it! The kids slept late and watched TV until their friends were home. SIL worked part time every day anyway, so she wasn't around. When their 9 year old still couldn't read, BIL put his foot down and insisted the 9 year old go to school. Kid turned out to be gifted and loved school. He graduated from college and has a good job (probably more excellent than Samuel's!). The older boy got his GED and started his own successful painting business. The homeschooling was a joke, but luckily the boys succeeded anyway!
  22. If you look up "Main Character Syndrome" you'll see Jill's picture alongside the definition. Probably wearing her goddawful Mother of the Graduate dress!
  23. My son-in-law scrubs his FB regularly. I wish I had done that years ago. I did download all of my pics and then made every album for my eyes only. I stopped posting pics of my grandkids years ago. I let them make their own footprint in the world! I get birthday notifications for several friends and relatives who have died. I gave my husband legacy rights and told him to let people post condolences and then shut it down a month or so after I'm gone! However, I think I'm going to shut it down myself after my Mom's estate is settled. I'm done with 1/3 of my siblings anyway. I do kind of like the memories that come up on FB, especially when they include comments from loved ones who have passed. As time goes by, they are just reminders of happier days. I do think that FB is especially harmful in general. I liked the internet better when it was mostly anonymous. I've interacted with interesting people on various forums where I've posted. The problem with FB is that everyone knows exactly who everyone else is and what they think about every little thing!
  24. That is horrifying! I'm planning to delete my FB account soon and I am horrified to learn that this can happen! I know from reporting bad accounts and actions, that FB doesn't care.
  25. I'm so glad I'm not a Rodrigues or Duggar or Bates. I'm thankful every day that I didn't marry my high school boyfriend. He was a nice guy, but we were not meant for a lifetime together!
