  1. I wonder if World's Best Hubby lets go of a few swears when he's spending hours repairing that old RV? And again when he's exhausted and driving their precious cargo (Jill's make-up and Plexus) late at night in the rain.
  2. Probably Jana too. Since she's responsible for most of the jurisdictions!
  3. My youngest grandchildren are 4 year old twins. While I was staying with them after Thanksgiving, one of the twins asked her Mom, "Why do you always call Grandma "Mom"? My daughter explained that it's because I AM her Mom. Then twin asked, "Were you in Grandma's tummy?" It was super cute. They seem to think that my oldest daughter is my sister. Guess I'm young looking* (to 4 year olds) like Jill Rodrigues! 🤣 *I'm not!
  4. I used to think about having to evacuate at the hairdresser when wasI in the middle of getting my hair colored! Now I'm going to think of a power outage every time I get a mammogram, lol! Always room for new fears. That soft mammogram sounds like a nice idea. You are so right, @Stevie Nicks that if the machine was designed for tests on men, it would likely be more comfortable.
  5. I watched the video (thanks @Madtown) and my goodness, Jessa does run on! Anyway, when it comes to naming the child, I don't know if I'd let Ben anywhere near a birth certificate. His naming of Spurgeon is unforgivable, imo!
  6. My cousin passed away last night. She was at her son's home, 1st day of hospice care. All of her kids were with her and she was able to talk to them yesterday. She was only diagnosed last week. She was a reporter turned journalism professor, who lived an interesting life. Such a terrible loss for our family, but I'm thankful for a peaceful passing for her. She was very agitated in the hospital. She's got three good, adult kids, who are supporting each other at this difficult time. 😢
  7. I have a son-in-law who is a pastor. He doesn't take off time at Christmas or Easter. Too much going on, but I guess it's no problem for Pastor Nathan of the bottomless wallet.
  8. I'm the same. It seems like I receive scented candles every Christmas, even though I'm not a fan. I stopped wearing perfumes at least 20 years ago. I started to notice my sensitivity to scents in my 40s, when I could hardly stand to be in the detergent aisle at the grocery store. I also found it hard to breathe in the rug section of Ikea. I guess I'm a weirdo, but I'm a weirdo who knows my limitations!
  9. My sister's bff had breast cancer. A hematoma burst and messed up the tech's machine, I guess. The tech actually said in disgust, "I can't believe they let you keep your breast!" That horrible woman actually got in big trouble for that hateful comment. (Sister's bff is healthy now - that was years ago.) My other sister had a cranky tech recently. I'm so sorry you were hurt and not listened to when you complained, @Mindthinkr! I have only had kind, very professional techs, so I've been lucky so far. I find mammograms to be uncomfortable, but not painful.
  10. The only way to shut Jill up about Lord Daniel, is to agree to be in her Plexus downline!
  11. Is this the first year that Jill allowed the children to help? That's just weird!
  12. Days like that are so frustrating, but I see you're already looking on the bright side, @Scarlett45 - I agree that today is gloomy in the Chicago area! We got rained on when we went to the grocery store. We finished decorating for Christmas today and started on some online shopping. I know some people are already done, but we traveled for Thanksgiving and just got back on Wednesday. I needed yesterday to recoup from traveling. We're so excited because our youngest and her husband will be coming on Christmas Eve, staying over and heading to his parents on Christmas. We're trying to plan a delicious dinner and looking forward to adult time, since they don't have kids. My daughter's birthday falls at Christmas time, so we can celebrate that too. I think we'll visit the grandkids after Christmas when things are more relaxed. Plans can change, so who knows?
  13. I don't understand why Jonathan bends to Jill's will. She doesn't even have money/inheritance to keep them under her thumb like JimBob. All she has is shrieking and guilting. Grow a backbone, Jonathan! Kaylee lacks the will to do so.
  14. Jill will teach Kaylee and Jonathan how to block anyone who posts anything that smells of disagreement. Either that or she'll offer to run their page in order to "help" them.
  15. I would never take parenting tips from Amy Duggar King. I think she's a loon.
  16. I just learned that my oldest cousin on my Mom's side is gravely ill with masses showing on her lungs and liver. I think she's 74. She's a smart cookie who has been in my life forever, though she lives far away. Thankfully, two of her children are with her. It's just so sad that she's in such serious condition when we're all merry making, getting ready for Christmas. 😢
  17. Maybe they came for Thanksgiving, hoping to avoid buying all that stuff. But Jill outsmarted them. She's a champion grifter!
  18. Wouldn't it be funny if Tim scooped Jill with Nurie's news, since he does have social media? Jill would have a cow and start posting madly about being betrayed!
  19. I think the reason Amy shared this old card is because she thinks she looks hot in this pic. She doesn't make much effort these days with her appearance. She mostly makes scrunched up faces in her posts.
  20. I wonder if Jill and David really restricted themselves so much during their courtship? She lies about pretty much everything, so why not that? I could see her pretending that they refrained from all physical touch to act more virtuous to her children. After all, she pretends to homeschool. She pretends to look better than she really does, thanks to the magic of filters. She insists that everyone pretend to be having fun for the camera. She's a phony!
