It appears from looking at various sites, that many people are happy with the finale and eagerly anticipating Season 5. I feel differently. I really don't like Miles, Sam and the rest of the renegade crew. I was disappointed that Aleida repeated Margo's pattern of disloyalty to authority. I thought it was foolish of her to take part in Margo and Sergei's secret meetings and communications, that it put her and her family at risk from the KGB. I guess the writers found a workaround that Aleida was looking out for NASA and space exploration, but I personally could not have gone the deceptive route to deprive Earth of this valuable asset. I have disliked Ed for quite some time, so I can't see him as a hero. I do understand that our own history and that of most countries, involves exploitation and that workers rights have been hard fought battles for a better life for....well, for all mankind! I don't know what to make of Dev's motivations. Surely he is after money and power and will achieve them by whatever means. Because the show chooses to cover years and years, the original attractive, young heroes have become old, grizzled and cantankerous. That's fine, but they failed to flesh out the younger characters. I think that's why Ed, Dani and Margo continue to carry the storylines. By 2012, they will all either be very old or dead. I hope the show can come back with a season 5 of interesting new characters, but I'm not holding my breath. I felt let down by this finale. I understand that many people feel excited and engaged by it. I just feel disappointed.

It would also give her more time to devote to Prince Rhett!

On Jill's FB page, she received compliments on her decorating "skills". Of course she wouldn't allow negative comments to remain, so we don't see any of those. This woman is the very definition of main character syndrome and narcissism. She loves her own image so much!

Ben does seem like a killjoy. Jessa's not a barrel of laughs either. If I were Spurgeon, I'd have a hard time forgiving my parents for my horrendous name. I think that boy really needs some fun in his life. He appears to be bored out of his mind in that family.

Jessa's got a video up of the kids opening Christmas gifts. The kids do wait patiently as each child opens a gift. Fern got so much baby doll stuff, but maybe that's by design to keep her from constantly hanging all over George. I've seen many toddlers do this, so it's not unusual behavior, but he is a newborn. It seems like the boys get pretty much the same gifts - pocket knives, wallets, legos and watches. Spurgeon seems a little bored to me. Henry is a really good big brother, who likes to help put things together for Fern. I didn't see the parents open any gifts. Then they played in the snow, which can't begin to compare with what we're getting hit with today!

You guys all have me cracking up about the fecal chair and the poop cheerleading etc.

I can't say I've never said a prayer in my bathroom, but it's not a formal thing like in Jill's private bathroom, more to do with taking care of business on the throne! We don't have a fecal chair. Perhaps I should do a google search to find one? 😉

She probably dumped that on Kaylee & Jonathan!

That bathroom is a nightmare! How do her children manage to clean it to Jill's satisfaction with all of that crap everywhere?

I kind of thought the way Derick worded it, that perhaps JB has been audited once already. Perhaps I misheard, but I thought he said audited again? I think JB has some tricky and less than honest ways!

That is weird and doesn't look safe. I'm not surprised. The Rods are a weird bunch and Jonathan seems to go along with their bizarre take on so many things.

I wouldn't trust the Hills with a wood burning fireplace or the Rods with electricity. Both of their homes are firetraps, imo.

Kaylee's FB is all Plexus all the time. Boring!

I do not believe that Jill "cherishes" the sound of her children's voices echoing through the house. I bet when she turns off the camera, she starts yelling at them to keep it down and start doing chores. I don't believe there's much homeschooling happening anyway. The evidence is in Kaylee's posts!

Well, no one bothered to teach Jonathan critical thinking. Hence, he's onboard with a MIL nightmare!

Jill needs to keep her stories straight. She's confusing her "fans"! 😂

I think Jill's favorite is Jill! I also think Jill does Janessa no favors with her babying, cloying way of speaking to her. But that is the way Jill talks to all of her younger children. It's hard to believe she's an experienced mother of 13!

I finished my book! It was pretty good and it made me cry because I really did care about these men in nearly impossible circumstances. It would make quite a movie! I'm ready to read something lighter though.

I love my book club! I joined it to make some new friends when we moved to this town and it worked! I've had to read some stinker books, but that is balanced by reading some good books I never would have chosen for myself. My BC is sponsored by a local small bookstore. I like supporting them, though I do understand about not wanting to fill my house with more books!

I agree! Whenever we compliment a Rodlet, I fear there will be retribution from Mahmo towards that child.

That sounds really interesting, @oliviabenson! Count me in! I have to buckle down and try to finish my book club book by Wednesday. It's called Endurance and is very informative, making me feel what it's like to be shipwrecked in Antarctica. But it's just not grabbing me. It feels like homework that I don't want to do! I almost always finish the book, so I guess I'll put down my laptop and try again. Wish me luck!

Jill doesn't look like a real person in that pic of her with the eggs. Lay off the filters, Jill! Her coloring looks scary. She looks scary. I just can't with her!

I do feel sorry for his wife too. He clearly wasn't very devoted to her.

Buying that house in Ohio was a mistake. I hope they can move closer to Heidi's family, the sooner the better. I hope they don't lose money doing so. I would imagine that as soon as a blessing is on the way, Heidi would much prefer being close to her own family.
