Famy is still in Vegas so she won't be attending the party today. Is there a rift or just poor planning?

This was an interesting read about upcoming episodes. I'm a little concerned about the upcoming stuff with Kevin and Randall. Families are so complicated that I hope this isn't just reduced to, Randall's adoption being the big family disrupter. Taking rrsourced/attention away from Kate and Kevin.

Just got home from listening to FLOTUS speak in Phoenix. My Little Bean has been really into this election and I thought this would be a great opportunity. He's only 8 but he absolutely loves the Obama's and she did not disappoint. She's so engaging and has a way of making her message relatable.

Hilliary unapologetically defending a woman's right to choose was beautiful. I know a few women who've had to make those tough decisions in their second and third trimester. They were left absolutely devastated. She's right that the government has zero business being involved in a decision this personal.

Do you think Mitch McConnell is having a talk with John McCain, "You released our plan too soon buddy." I've already voted for McCain's opponent but 538 doesn't predict her winning. My sole motivation for that vote was his, and Jeff Flake's, stance on not holding an up down vote on the current nomination. If they wanted to reject him fine, but at least go through the motions! If the Senate remains a Republican majority are we just doomed to 4-4 decisions for two years?

Aja's instagram story today showed Alfie in the make-up trailer getting ready for shooting a scene. I'm not sure where they are in the filming schedule but I'm leaning to Connor or Frank under the sheet.

I wasn't sure if I should place this here or in the media thread. Dan Fogleman talks about Rebecca and William's relationship. So Rebecca and William have interacted more than once. What a heartbreaking storyline. There is a lot of adoption in my life (adopted siblings, and I'm an adoptive mom) and this storyline is really doing some interesting things with all parts of the triad.

John McCain is my senator and his race is pretty tough. He's getting it coming and going from trump supporters and trump haters. I'm personally voting against anyone who is a part of this who Supreme Court blockade. (You're next on my list Jeff Flake!) I would have more respect if they rejected the nomination via an up down vote, but this is shameful.

I feel like we need to import the slideshow from Black-is to the thread. The Obamas have been an amazing first family. Little Bean came home from 3rd grade concerned about the election because, "Everyone has been so mean but President Obama has been nice to people." That's a great example there. 4 more years!

Yes, this. It's amazing to me how they seem more like people in their early twenties vs. pushing 40. Next week looks like a doozy. I grew up in a predominantly white town in the 80s/90s so this whole racial identity/adoption plot has my total attention. My friend and I would say we were the "lone chocolate chips in the cookie" as the only AA girls in our grade.

Randall's storyline as an adoptee finding his bio dad is so compelling. Even if William is on the up and up, it still introduces great conflict into the family. My siblings are all adopted and have each gone through their own journey in relation to their biological families. It's really reductive to suggest, as I saw in another thread, that someone should just be satisfied if their adoptive family was great. There are so many issues tied to being adopted...especially for transracial adoptees. One sibling mentioned how amazing it was to be in a room where people had his features. Little things you might take for granted, but mean a lot.

I don't think he and Kate have a problem. He told Kevin that Kate had been keeping him up to date with his life, which suggests they talk frequently and,hopefully, not just about Kevin. I really want to see the siblings all together...or maybe just Kate and Randall together.

This. So many kids at the whim of the whirlwind romance of their parents. Blending a family is tough work. Evan doesn't really talk about his kids, which I hope is to protect their privacy. But the way Amanda talks about a Dad for her kids makes me nervous.

Josh said he wanted to coach "his kids" sports teams. When Amanda said they did dance and gymnastics, Josh responded that he'd teach them soccer. The hope being that they'd drop the other activities and he's finally be a soccer dad with Amanda handing out oranges on the sidelines.

This was such a huge red flag to me! Why would Amanda to allow a man she's known for 21 days to start making decisions for her children? What if they like dance and gymnastics? Even if they did take to a team sport, Mr. Bean, who pretends to not watch, chimed in noting that maybe THEIR FATHER would want to coach the kids if they chose team sports. I know I should give parents who come on this show a hard time, but I always shake my head when they talk about "never feeling this way about anyone." You mean you feel more of a connection with this person you just met on national tv than you did with the person you share two, or in Evan's case three, kids with?

Documenting all their adventures on Snapchat? I'm no Kaitlyn fan, but she can be funny...I can't imagine that Amanda has anything even approaching a sense of humor.

I don't know of any high schools in my state that offer gymnastics for men or women. It's all club, so the price is a bit steep for many people too.

Yup, yup, yup. Little Boy Bean has been on his team for 3 years and loves the sport. The challenge we've had having to teach him to defend choosing a "girl sport". It's utter bullshit but it happens all the time. With other sports kids are able to try football in the fall and basketball in the winter. Gymnastics tends to be all consuming.

I'm probably alone but I really want Jubilee to find someone to have a fun fling with. I fear she's not long for Paradise. Jared seemed disinterested and even Chad had her pegged as the first to go home. She might not be the train wreck some of the cast is but she seems a decent person.

Yes she's been posting today. Nothing earth shattering, but things with her or her cousins, rarely are.
