  1. I doubt it. This is a comedy show doing a comedy bit. I don't think it is any more real than Trevor taking cover in his underground hideout on his Halloween show. I'm sure if this were real, it would have made headlines.
  2. Did I hear correctly that Tyler Mook was never formally interviewed by law enforcement? How does that even happen? I would certainly like to know why. ETA: I guess he must have lawyered up right away. Otherwise it makes no sense.
  3. I have some anxiety about the election, but I have more anger over the general idiocy going on. I’m tired of emails and sex tapes. What I would really like to know is what, if anything, are these people going to do for us…what about taxes, health care, social security, climate change…something, anything useful!
  4. I recently watched a show, I want to say Blood Relatives, where someone produced a receipt from a fast food place to establish an alibi. My first thought was ‘how many people keep fast food receipts’? I can’t speak for anyone else, but the only receipts I save are for articles I may need to return at some point. Why save receipts for consumables, like cigarettes, beer, food, etcetera? I have enough clutter without that junk.
  5. When Quintin was being debriefed, I took much satisfaction in watching how offended Noel and Maples looked.
  6. I felt that Tom was guilty, but there were so many holes in the investigation that I understand how the jury came to their verdict. It was never mentioned but did any of the investigators do a gunpowder residue test on either of them?
  7. Interesting twist. I really thought the secret the demon told Henry was that he wasn't the biological father of one or both of the girls. I didn't see the Regan thing coming at all.
  8. One thing that bothers me is that apparently no one witnessed the event. For the love of God, several people supposedly alerted the police to the crazies driving, and yet not one person saw what actually happened. Girlfriend claims he was on his motorcycle between the two cars and she rammed into him, and the wife says she was giving chase and he accidentally sideswiped her without her noticing (eh, whatever) and he flew off the road.
  9. I watched news documentary about dogs a few months ago, and surprisingly (or not), most dogs will run in fear from an intruder or attacker. While true most dogs will bark and make noise, unless they were trained otherwise, most of them won’t do a thing.
  10. I don’t think she is much worse than the others. They are pretty much all morally compromised. At first I thought Oliver might be the moral compass in this batch, but he seems perfectly willing, if not eager, to get his hands dirty. I think Asher and Connor may be a little more reluctant than the others, but that’s not saying much.
  11. Zac and Ashleigh drive me nuts! He can't/won't/doesn't know how to be supportive, and every time she calls him all they do is argue. I think she should stop calling him if every time they speak it sends her into a tailspin. Of course this show is highly edited and hopefully there are calls not aired that are less tense, otherwise that marriage is doomed. Frankly I don't see what their drama adds to the show or why it needs to be included. She is supposed to be there to get intel on how to improve the jail system, yet she is always in a crisis mode, so I just don't see how she is contributing.
  12. Normally, I've never waited more than 15 to 20 minutes, but in the 2004 Bush/Kerry election I was in line for well over 2 hours. This election seems even more divisive than that, so I am not expecting any short lines in these parts.
  13. To be fair, I think it was ridiculous that Fabian was sent in alone on his first day in the control tower. You would think someone would be there to help him learn the ropes or at least supervise him.
  14. This entire episode was disturbing on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin. I was so disgusted at several points that I almost turned it off. There is no excuse whatsoever that the inmates were not given drinking water in some form or another, and then to top it off, the COs brilliantly stand around drinking soda and water in front of them. Smooth move assholes!
  15. Does anyone watch Suspicion? There was an episode from a couple of weeks ago where a woman moved into a new apartment and all of her neighbors seemed like they were nut jobs. I don't want to say too much since this is an open thread for all shows, and I have no idea who has seen what. Anyway, I thought this was an interesting spin and completely different than most things seen on true crime shows.
  16. I have no love for Billy, and I never thought he was a great fit for the show, but damn that seems harsh considering he wasn’t even the one making remarks. Was he acting like an adolescent? Yes. However, it was 11 years ago, long before he was with Today. I suppose from a PR standpoint, given the current outrage they had to do something, but I really don’t even understand the pearl clutching about the audio leak. This is not a new revelation of Trump’s character. This is what he has shown himself to be all along. The time for clutching of pearls should have come last year when he threw his hat into the campaign ring.
  17. Thankfully no Lilly this week. She is so awkward and uncomfortable to watch, and Fabian is a close second. They both seem like they are afraid of their own shadows. Israel doesn't really seem cut out for this either, but Lilly and Fabian have no business being anywhere near the inmates.
  18. I wanted to check this show out about a week ago, but at the time, it was after dark, and I was home alone, so I decided not to. Now that I have actually been able to watch, I don’t think I’ll be too afraid to watch alone, even at night, but it is still creepy enough to hold my interest. It does seem like a one season wonder though. I just can’t see how wading through exorcism after exorcism would be interesting for too long.
  19. I’m puzzled how so many people were taken in by his story. He must have been a first-class charmer. The fact that he waited until he was made her sole beneficiary before choosing to move out and the fact that he continued to spend millions of dollars after her death and lying to her friends and family about her whereabouts tells me all I need to know. Dissociative episode Indeed!
  20. Did anyone see this weekend’s episode The Accused. The mother’s ex-boyfriend (Nick Hillary) is investigated and brought to trial for the death of a 12-year-old boy, Garrett Phillips. The prosecution is based on the fact that he was spotted at the school where Garrett was last seen alive, and apparently some of the friction in his relationship with Garrett’s mom was due to issues regarding conflict between Garrett and Nick. I was undecided about this. There were moments where I believed what Nick was saying, and yet I couldn’t get passed how conveniently he seemed to forget things as they were related to the case. That said, I don’t think the evidence was strong enough to convict him, and I think he was smart to go before the bench rather than have a trial by jury.
  21. I don't know about that. She has shown herself to be stone cold and detached, even with those she seems to hold great affection for, when it suits her purposes.
  22. Since you are watching this for the first time, it would be interesting to read your take on other things as well the Dylan situation. Hopefully, you can post some of your thoughts in the episode threads.
  23. Discuss episodes and events not otherwise covered in this forum.
  24. Ryan is a mixed bag. On the one hand, he seems a bit delusional and self important, and on the other hand, at least he is one of the few participants getting any conclusive information at the jail. I know this is heavily edited, but I’m not sure I think he should be required to divulge much until he has finished his stint. If you are doing undercover work, you certainly don’t want the stench of snitch on you in any way, shape or form. Now, if after he was released, he kept withholding information, I would consider that problematic. The people in charge of this show may have just shot themselves in the foot. Now that he has been moved, it is highly unlikely that he has time to get the access he had to the goings-on. Most of the people who have been involved in the program seem more like they are dealing with/resolving their own internal crises rather than offering anything of substance to what is going on in the jail.
