  1. For the football penalty one, I thought holding.
  2. I normally like Sam, but this segment didn't sit right with me. It's obvious this was either completely scripted or they picked the least intelligent Trump supporters they could find and then went on to find a quasi-intelligent Clinton supporter. You don't have to hoodwink me into disliking Trump, he's done a fine job all by himself!
  3. Agreed, and I don't blame her for aspiring to that job, but I would also like to be President, however, it doesn't make me qualified. If they want to leave her in the mail room or the parking lot, I'm sure she can handle it, but anything else...doubtful. Even if we forget her small stature for a minute, she doesn't even have the attitude, she is way too shy and timid. I didn't really think Ariel last season was a great fit, but at least she had presence...poor Lily seems like she is constantly about to cry.
  4. I watched last season, and I thought it was okay, but I wasn't sure if I was going to watch this season or not. I decided to check it out, and it's starting out interesting, so I'm in. Two burning question: 1) Where is Kate's child? 2) Where is Mama Warner?
  5. I thought this show provided some very compelling evidence to suggest Burke was the person responsible in JonBenet’s death, but it really annoyed me that they ignored, barely touched on or dismissed anything that wasn’t part of their overall theory. I’m not saying Burke did or did not do it, but they certainly didn’t leave much room for interpretation. Then at the end of the show there is the disclaimer which ends with “we urge you to draw your own conclusions.” Well, if this had been the first exposure someone had to the case, what the hell other conclusion would they draw?
  6. I had heard this before as well, but what makes me curious is how this became public knowledge. Surely the parents wouldn't gone around sharing this with other people.
  7. I thought the deconstruction of the ransom letter was interesting, but the rest not so much. The bit about the 911 call was unconvincing. Then there was theory that JonBenet was brain dead before the strangulation. Why then were there scratch marks around her neck, and if there is an explanation why wasn’t it addressed instead of conveniently glossed over? I have no real idea one way or another who killed JonBenet, but so far this version isn’t helping to clear things up any more than the other shows have.
  8. I'm intrigued so far and looking forward to more. The atmosphere was creepy and the gore was minimal. Hopefully the wheels don't fall off the bus. It was good to see Lily Raby back. I wish that she had a meatier role because she is fantastic at the eccentric and the quirky, but it's only episode 1, so things could change.
  9. No, they usually keep their pajamas on and don't get dressed at all until they need to.
  10. I really appreciated Kenny-Ken this episode. For the most part, I couldn't stand him, but he really stepped up in the end, and I was actually rooting for him. I'm also glad the core three (Charmain, Brian and Sam) were on the same page at the end of the day.
  11. I have to reserve judgment with this case. A lot of things just don’t add up. Given the fact that the only real physical evidence seems to be the DNA of an unknown male, I am inclined to think that the parents did not do it. Whether they were involved in a coverup is hard to say. One thing that seems fairly certain is that law enforcement botched this case. Supposedly they went into the basement but never bothered to open a closed door (which as it turns out is where JonBenet was), and they let people wander around the crime scene and even clean up…WHAT? Sure there were things that pointed to the parents, but nothing decidedly conclusive. My feeling is that law enforcement had no other real leads so remained steadfastly focused on the parents so they could draw attention away from their own incompetence in handling the case.
  12. I'm leaning more and more to this show being highly scripted. Brian and Chris were both in the classification section and Brian never picked up on Chris walking around the pod with a towel around his shoulders and then being quickly removed from the pod?
  13. I like her too, but this does not seem like something I’m interested in watching, and not because Abby died or Nicole left the show. Characters I like die on shows all the time, and though I find it disappointing, it isn’t necessarily a deal breaker, but the show has turned into something that is really nothing like the original premise. The apocalypse, Moloch, the horsemen…now those were some fresh and unexplored ideas. Most of the original cast is gone, the story well has run dry, and from the sound of things, it seems like the show is just going to be another run-of-the-mill supernatural mystery procedural. There are plenty of those out there. Grimm and Supernatural come to mind off the top of my head, but I know there are plenty of others.
  14. Do you mean one of the ugliest fake cries? I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a single tear come out of her eyes or sniffle from her nose. All she has ever done is contort and wipe at her face.
  15. Actually his historical death is only 2 months away, which is why I'm thinking the show may just skip the accuracy and leave him dead.
  16. I actually used to like Grace at some point and couldn’t stand Ken, but I was glad when he actually dumped her. You’re right, she is stone cold. I’ve never been a fan of Emma’s but I did feel badly for her in this episode. As for Bunchy, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens. I know he was shot to death, but I looked it up, and it was January of 1969, and this episode apparently took place in November 1968, but since this show is only loosely based on historical events, it might be irrelevant.
  17. Yeah, I guess they sent the show here to die. Too bad, because I've really been enjoying it, but I guess once the cover the Manson murder story, they probably don't feel there is much story left to tell, butI think I could still enjoy it once the Manson stuff is over since I really like the cast/characters. I also was entertained by the Manson/Hodiak stuff. It was the most interesting part of the episode for me, but the scenes with Shafe and his wife were quite good too. The bit about the old Ukrainian women and their insurance scam was also pretty fun.
  18. From the recap: What's up with that? I thought there were only 3 pods (C, D and F). Are they moving her in with the guys? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the F pod was the only women's pod in the jail.
  19. Does anyone really believe the Ashley/Jared stuff? Or even the Chad stuff for that matter? It may be that some of this stuff is real, but I think half these people are assigned roles which they agree to play along with (Ashley onion and a few others come to mind as well). None of them need shrinks, but hopefully they have good brokers.
  20. Best part of the article is the NYC Parks Department statement about the statue.
  21. I won’t go so far as to say I like him, but Ryan doesn’t bother me (yet). He does seem to think he is a bit self important, but at least he is far more self aware than Robert who thought jail was going to be a cake walk. Also, I think he feels like he needs to try to fit in, unlike Robert who believed himself to be the cat’s ass. I don’t see Ryan trying to play the games Robert did either. Ryan strikes me as someone who can admit when he is in over his head. Ryan and Robert seem like apples and oranges to me. I don’t really think he is a great fit for this program, but at least I get the impression he is taking it more seriously than Robert did. I cannot understand why these guys think putting the wimpiest people in D pod is a good idea, and I think it is ridiculous that the officers think Ryan is too intelligent for jail. Plenty of people with more than half a brain land themselves in jail. However, I should qualify that by acknowledging the fact that I don’t think even half this show is unscripted.
  22. I enjoyed Steve Shirripa. I thought he played a decent game, not the best but certainly not the worst. I felt almost as bad for him as I did for his partner when he blew that Mystery 7. To compound her losing a trip, it was a trip to Hawaii that she had previously stated was something she wanted to do with her winnings. He looked horrified and embarrassed.
  23. I have always liked Jared. I know all these folks are looking for some kind of recognition by being on these shows rather than love, but at least Jared keeps a relatively low profile instead of acting outrageous and trying to get his face out there. I find him refreshing and feel that he classes the place up.
  24. I'm starting to think Zac and his wife were required by the court to participate in this program in lieu of jail time for whatever gun charges they had. Something just doesn't sit right with me.
  25. Christopher was an interesting character study. I had no love for Christopher, but he never really had a chance. No matter what he did, Tony always held him in contempt. I think his betrayal of Adriana was a list ditch effort to gain Tony’s approval. I didn’t always care for Adriana. She was fairly supportive of Christopher, but I would think she would have tried to curb her own substance use once Christopher tried to get clean. That said, I think what happened to her was tragic. She really was the only person in his corner, and he sacrificed that to win the respect from Tony that he craved but could never hope to achieve.
