  1. Sooo. Much. Screaming. The ATV's they were riding around in looked fun, but I don't think I'd be too keen on rappelling, beautiful as that canyon looked. I truly and honestly thought they were actually getting dolled up to go out to a real club, but noooo. They get to dance around a stripper pole in the house instead. Meredith must've mugged a lot of muppets for the outfits she keeps wearing. Was that another Brooks Marks creation she had on at Club Zion? Needed some tape over the marabou feathers. I was sort of neutral on Jenny, but after seeing the tweets that have come out, egads. Just horrible. There really isn't anyone to root for on this show. I'm still holding out for Heather, but she continues to coddle Shah, and Whitney doesn't bother me too much (that macrame dress she was wearing at dinner was hideous - I also had no idea she had that much ink all over her). So everyone's apparently good after a drunken pool party, but it looks like we'll be back to screaming next week. Did anyone catch who was shouting about Meredith being a whore in the teaser? I couldn't tell if it was Jen's voice or Lisa's.
  2. I know this was all producer driven, but it was super cringey and embarrassing nonetheless. I literally wanted to crawl under my couch and hide when Brock and Scheana made their announcement at the Llama farm. Just, just... beyond tacky. I loved how everyone sat there staring at them in silence. And he told her to wear her big honking ring once the cat was out of the bag! (facepalm) Lala, being so "helpful" and stirring the pot so that she could send DJ Muppet Baby flying into a rage. For once his anger was kind of justified and I hate that. Had he played it smart, he would have kept it on the down-low and quietly asked Brock & Scheana to leave. Oh, and he also would have remembered that it was Raquel's AND his weekend, not just HIS weekend. DJ Muppet Baby's Mom - yikes. I didn't understand why Ariana & Sloth were crying over their investment news. I wonder if that will fall apart completely given that she and Lala are at it again, and Randall's ass is probably broke. I kind of feel bad for Scheana now, because as delusional and attention thirsty as she is, she's hooked herself up with a real tool-bag. I was kind of hoping Brock might be kind of an okay harmless guy, but he's clearly a skinflint cheapskate grifter. The two of them together are cluelessness squared. Raquel dodged a bullet big time. Keep running Raquel! Never look back! She did wear some very pretty dresses this episode. I feel relieved for the rest of her family as well, as they looked like nice people. Maybe Grandma Buttons will get to attend a wedding with a more pleasant groom in the future.
  3. I think I'm checking out. I'm finding the series incredibly boring, and I don't particularly like any of the ladies. Guerdy does not seem to be a good party planner. Alexia is delusional about her own kid's sociopathic tendencies, and I don't think her marriage will be long for this world because of it. Adrianna & Julia's constant open flirtation is just weird and disrespectful - it seems more flippant and jokey on Julia's part, but Ardriana seems scarily possessive. Lisa -zzzz. Now that she finally has kids, she doesn't seem that enthused about them. Nicole - also zzzzz seems nice and together, but her storyline is a bore. I haven't seen enough of Kiki to form an opinion - has she ever been featured on an episode where she wasn't just hanging out in the background? Anyway, there's just not enough for me to care about continuing to watch, although I may peek at other people's posts!
  4. I've completely lost the plot. Why are these women so intent on continuing to coddle a screaming psychopath like Jen? Give her the best room? Why? I don't care for Meredith (especially since she's grafted herself to Mary), but it was satisfying seeing her give as good as she got from Jen. I did giggle that fashionably late Meredith got the room with no closet in which to unpack her 10 suitcases. Both Jen & Mary are total unhinged grifting nut-bags and need to go. Poor Bettina. There is not enough sage and drumming in the world for this crew.
  5. That would be a tough one to forgo for sure! To me, cheese is just happiness!
  6. This is an important litumus test for me as well. Anyone who is rude or dismissive to service workers or wait staff who are trying their best is a no go. Well, rudeness in general is a big no. But the way people treat others in customer service jobs is usually a good insight into their character.
  7. The houses on this episode were not my style (although the 3rd one was very nice). The Madrona hotel they were staying at though? Heaven. I wish they would knock off the silly manufactured fighting stuff. If I were picking sides, I'd definitely be on team Flagg, as it seemed Altman was making stuff up in his head to be mad about. It was so nice to see such gorgeous scenery, and just tour around. That region of California is just breathtakingly beautiful - all those rolling hills and big oak trees. That is plenty to keep me entertained. Glad the respective spouses are showing solidarity no matter what!
  8. From what I understand, lactose intolerance is pretty miserable if you ingest dairy - it basically like a severe food allergy as opposed to a sensitivity, and can cause terrible stomach cramps and has you running to the bathroom pretty quick. So I'd normally sympathize with someone who has it. I think there were all kinds of things going on simultaneously at the dinner table and in the kitchen which made it confusing for viewers to follow. I think the crew initially read the gentleman next to Ms. Sourpuss as "light on dairy" when really it was Miss Sourpuss who was totally lactose intolerant, and they missed that entirely at first. Plus there was all kinds of other nonsense about some people not eating shellfish and others not eating lamb and gentleman next to Ms. Sourpuss refusing to eat anything that cheese happened to touch. Among a bunch of other things. Seriously, I think I would have flipped the table over in exasperation it was getting so convoluted. Ms. Sourpuss demanded that chicken be prepared for her instead of the evening's offerings, and then got into a big snit because it took a bit of extra time to prepare, and she couldn't eat at the same time as everyone else. I think she wound up not eating the chicken in the end, just to be even more of a pill. It's like logic eludes some people when they're demanding extras at the last minute - the crew will happily prepare a substitution, but they can't wave a magic wand and make it appear instantly. Everyone else at the table seemed alright, but people like Ms. Sourpuss are why I never worked in food service.
  9. I'm a name nerd too, and I would have given him a pass as having a quirky variation if his parents had bestowed it upon him, but as suspected, he chose to modify it himself, which is just silly and unnecessary.
  10. Heh. I called it in a previous thread! Shirtless "Ryne" modified his own name to sound cool. And everyone on the show is equally confused as the viewing audience. I kind of loved Emily for pointing that out - that is until she got sloppy drunk. Yikes, she seems like a handful at outings. I don't care about Noella's drama with Heather. I think this episode demonstrated what happens when two narcissists collide. I feel like Shannon should hang out with her Mom in Nashville more.
  11. That resort looks very beautiful. Clearly the shit is about to hit the fan! So Brock spent a bunch of money on an expensive photoshoot, and got a bunch of balloons from the dollar-store for Scheana's proposal. Yeah that marriage is going to work out. Plus he openly mentioned being in debt. Good thing Schemer learned from her last go-round and got those pre-nups signed! Speaking of debt, I wonder if this sandwich flight of fancy will ever come to be since faux big-shot Randall clearly has moths flying out of his pockets. I'm continuing to feel relieved for Raquel after watching these past couple of episodes - she's dodging a major bullet. I didn't catch that bit from the previous ep where James was yanking on her wrist. We've seen hints of this before, but she would have been in for much worse had she stuck with him. Who will want to hook up with DJ Muppet Baby after this? (BTW, I love that moniker for him - not sure who originated it, but it's brilliant!).
  12. Definitely on team Todd this episode. Unfortunately that marriage is probably doomed - Alexia is an enabler and isn't going to change, Peter is probably a sociopath and also isn't going to change. Poor Frankie. I feel like Julia, though beautiful, seems to enjoy messing with others for attention. It's not an attractive quality. Adriana is a jerk - I don't remember her being quite this obnoxious on the original series. Nicole seems like a nice woman but her storyline is repetitive and dull. I tune out when she's on. I don't have a read on the rest of the women.
  13. Yikes, I don't know how Rachel manages in that little galley with all of those differing food preferences. I would pull my hair out. Most of the guests seem very nice, save for the lactose intolerant sourpuss who was glowering all through dinner. I just can't with Rayna. She just so unpleasant and impossible. Her attitude sucks, and I agree with the poster above - it's like she has no clue how jobs actually work. I feel like she would be much better if she could just do kitchen prep the majority of the time, but that's not what she was hired for. I did my best Nelson Muntz "ha! ha!", when Jess walked off the boat last episode. Fraser is now letting his weaselly flag fly. If there weren't an extra pair of hands coming, he'd be bitching about that too. I hope the new stew blows him out of the water. He's such a petty little backstabber. I'm very curious as to how people will react to him come reunion time. I'm REALLY tired of mustachio getting naked all the time - from the previews it looks like he'll be at it again next episode.
  14. Yep it was nonsensical misplaced anger. The object of her rage was not present, so she went for what she considered to be the next closest thing. Not that I have much sympathy for Lisa, because her friendship overtures were never genuine anyway - I'm still mystified as to what her real motivations for hitching her wagon to this psychotic hosebeast were.
  15. Seth is such a dorky icky try-hard. The number of references to Whitney's cleavage. Ugh. Meredith should've kicked him to the curb ages ago. He is a tool. Another bus trip - what could possibly go wrong? I'm still puzzled over the alliances and who is up whose ass on this show. Seriously, what is the deal with Meredith and Mary being so tight? Lisa also feigned tight friendship with Shah for awhile, but started to distance herself once allegations came out. Heather's continued devotion to Shah has always been a mystery - I think in her own mind she's going for sainthood by continuing to support this batshit harpy. Either they've all got tea they're trying to prevent being spilled, or the producer driven storylines are completely mixed up, and they've thrown in the towel. Jen Shah: continues to be puzzled as to why no one has her back when she turns into a raving screaming gorgon at EVERY SINGLE EVENT. I wonder if she was given an under the table bonus by the show runners to start shit. I did giggle at Jenny sitting stone-faced in the same limo seat while a full-on brawl was breaking out. Best thing about the episode was Teddy the dog.
  16. Current hilarity: the ginormous photo posters of herself & dollar store Aquaman all over their apartment! 😆
  17. I don't think Scheana was ever considered a sweet and naive heroine. More like a thirsty dim-bulb whose entertainment value derived from mockery. She wasn't as mean-spirited as some of the others, but her lack of self-awareness and delusional pursuit of fame was funny. That goes for most the rest of them too.
  18. Oh dear, incoming disaster on all fronts. Schwartz and Sandy have no idea what they are doing, nor do the sandwich ladies. I was undecided about Brock earlier, but it's clear he's a scammer. Good thing Scheana is getting a pre-nup this time around - although I bet she's already losing a bundle financing his fitness app. Does anyone know what became of Mike Shay after their divorce? Back to Brock: Using multiple credit cards to buy a ring? Trying to piggyback on someone else's engagement party? - yeah, that's going to go well. No ominous foreshadowing there!
  19. They both seem like jerks, and both seem very possessive of Julia. It's weird. As someone mentioned above, it seems like Julia & Adrianna are one drunk evening away from a hook-up. I feel sort of sorry for Martina, as she seems like a nice woman. It's clear she's not particularly fond of Adriana, but perhaps she's already over Julia and looking to move on. I get that having animals can be fun, but their home feels super claustrophobic and muddy. Adrianna was a goof to be wearing a designer dress and heels in that environment. Man, I barely recognize Larsa - I recall her from watching the first season of the show years ago, and she looks like a different person (a Kardashian to be exact). I absolutely loathed her back then as she seemed like a spoiled vapid beeyotch, and apparently not much has changed. The only other people I remember from the show's early seasons are Marysol - still like her, and Alexia. The rest aside from Lisa & Adriana are new to me.
  20. I've only watched the first couple of episodes, and am surprised that I found it a bit more interesting than I expected. The problems & conflicts seemed a bit more realistic and less fabricated than Selling Sunset - they centered around work and commission issues, as well as typical personal problems that crop up for people. I wanted to like Sharelle, but I don't think she's that great of a leader - she likes to be boss, but isn't great at treating people equitably or fairly or mentoring others. I was immediately impressed with Rena and her prior work history - she really does seem like a badass who could be successful if she struck out on her own. I got the feeling the other women (including Sharelle) were intimidated by her intelligence and were freezing her out. I did not care for Colony & Sophia-Sharon (or is it Sharon-Sophia?). They seemed ditzy and their ageist comments about the other women really rubbed me the wrong way. I really wish they would display the names more as I had a hard time remembering who the remainder of the cast were - I had the same problem with Selling Sunset in the beginning. I'll keep watching for now, because I'm bored.
  21. Apparently Meredith got mugged by an ostrich on the way to Whitney's branding do. She looked utterly ridiculous. Mary feigned ignorance and doubled down on her comments about Jenny. Not surprising. I'm baffled by Meredith's support of her - and were they always this tight? I can't remember. Agree with the theories up thread that Mary must have some dirt on her. Same deal with Jen Shah and Lisa. Oh, Jen Shah's Mom, don't do it! Do not scupper your retirement savings for your grifter daughter's legal fund! You'll be lucky if you wind up living in a broom closet over an SLC bowling alley! I wanted to smack Lisa when she was micromanaging her kid's prom photos. Ugh. It's always about her. I would hate to be her kid.
  22. Just finished the final season. Sorry to see it go. Despite the crass & often gross humour, it actually had heart & sweetness. I'll miss the characters. I can't actually believe it's been on for five seasons already (I know some of them were short), but I'm shocked at how time flies - I wasn't keeping track and thought it had only aired for two - three at most. I grew up in the 70's myself, so I loved all of the period details - they really nailed all of that stuff. Did anyone notice (sadly) how many dedications there were at the end of episodes? It looks like the actor who voiced Smokey the vending van driver passed away, along with a couple of show producers. Sad.
  23. This was a fun episode. I'm not usually a mountain person (even though I live near some) but the Aspen scenery was just spectacular. Architecturally, neither house was my style, but they certainly made the most of the surrounding scenery, and it was fun looking at all the collectibles and oddities in the 40 million $ home. The two sets of parents were cute, and it's neat that they decided to befriend each other even back when their sons were not getting along. Same! Their portion of the show was so relaxed and enjoyable. For those who haven't done so already, I highly recommend looking up Bobby's YouTube videos - they have a similar vibe. I'd also like to stroll with Flagg around the neighbourhood martini in hand and have him give me a run-down on the history of the houses. Both Altman and Flagg did well when they chose their respective spouses. If any of the press leak story is true, I can understand why Frederik would be dead to Flagg. Holy stress - I could feel the anxiety of that situation coming through the screen. Glad Flagg was able to exit and get set up at his new agency, because that could have gone horribly sideways. Really loving this show so far!
  24. Interesting video from Sweet James, - especially the part about Noella angling to get on the show for years. I'm not sure I'm buying either of their stories 100%. Why is he filing from Puerto Rico? Is he taking responsibility for their kid? And has she really been left high and dry money-wise as she claimed?
  25. His cooking segments on YouTube are a lot of fun to watch (with some nice easy recipes). He seems like a sweetheart, and am glad he's being featured a bit. Re: Palos Verdes - the view YEAH! The house? Meh. But as Flagg said, the entire price is for the land. Can you really see all the way up to Malibu from there? Anyway it was a stunning view.
