  1. This obsession people have with Russell, as if he's literally the Devil, and Varner's like "The Devil made me do it"..... LOL. This just makes Varner seem nuts. Russell is a contestant on a game show. He's never outed someone for goodness sakes. I barely remember his recent seasons.
  2. If I get the time, I will try and read all of your posts, BUT ---- Episodes 1 and 2 were so boring! Oh my god ! I miss Jules! Do I even like this show!? Exactly, oh god, exactly. I'm in love with her. Plus, It's obvious Beth has had a LOT of work done whereas Lu looks like she hasn't had any. (Maybe she has, I don't mind being corrected on this) but Lu always looks so hot, natural, and gorgeous! Carole is disgusting in looks and in personality. I miss Jules ,both for her looks and for her personality. I truly do hope she is well.
  3. I was a big Zeke fan during the Millennials season -- Zeke and Michaela were my favourites until Zeke said that weird thing to David -- but I never knew. Then again, I know better to look up reality contestants on Google, because I've been spoiled for the winners of seasons so many times before. I try to wait until the season's finished.
  4. Aren't Probst and Varner friends in real life? I thought I read that here.
  5. I agree with you @seacliffsal. I also wish people wouldn't bend over backwards to bring up Russell Hantz at every opportunity and I don't see how it's on topic. @fishcakes, wow, your new attitude regarding Culpepper! ;) That's not even what he really said.... I went to go read his feed for context.... Anyways, it's not even on topic and people seem to be using this episode about Zeke to throw some shade on Russell.
  6. Ozzy actually shouted "You should be ashamed of yourself" before that which I wasn't sure how to feel about because he knew he was in danger of being voted for (???) but I'm trying to remember everyone was highly emotional and the TC was probably hours and hours and I don't blame anyone's reactions except yes I do blame Varner.
  7. I disturb myself by how much I love Ozzy. He's in my top 3 players/contestants of all time. Number 3 I'd say. I'm pretty much in love with him, and I completely admit he's a flawed player, and seems to turn a lot of people off, and I get it.
  8. We didn't see how long the tribal was... the many hours.... I mean when Probst calls you and asks you to speak in the heat of the moment, Sarah was very emotional and I don't even think she really wanted to. Some people have pitchforks for Sarah because she "made it all about her". Maybe she didn't want to make it all about Zeke because she didn't feel the right to speak for him? I wanted to say something positive towards Sarah because I loved what she said.....
  9. @Lovely I really appreciate your posts on this episode.
  10. Bullies who are caught and play victim? Yes, I've seen it many times.....
  11. I'll tell you this episode kind of changed me. I feel kind of like Sarah? She gave a great speech on how I felt. Ignorant before, more educated now? Other than that I don't know what to say. Wow. I say this is the best show on television, and now for this reason, which is different and I feel bad because obviously it was 100% not Zeke's choice and that's bullshit. Jeff Probst handled it....well as he could I guess?? Curious to read what others think. Jeez.
  12. I don't like Rose Leslie's acting style. The shaking and stammering, it's way too overdone for me. She's cute though; I like her hair.
  13. I really thought Emily did a fantastic job in The Girl on the Train. It's one of those grittier parts that make you feel uncomfortable - kind of a lighter version of Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted. On Twitter I saw some mocking of both her and the movie which I didn't understand at all. Why, because's it's a genre film? Because it's based on a book that a female wrote? Give me a break. She was also good in Looper, and The Devil Wears Prada clearly made everyone in Hollywood notice her.
  14. Sex and the City, the book, had an arc. Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, Samantha, Big, and even more characters, all existed in the book. They were introduced in the book. Carrie meets Big and falls in love with him in the book. The book ended. Then writers were able to take that book and make 6 seasons and 2 movies with entirely brand new stories based on all of these characters. Season 1 of SATC followed the book somewhat and kept a lot of its characters, but by Season 2 the slate was wiped clean. Plus, SATC and BLL are both HBO, and both are headed by a lot of female actors. Perry being gone from the show does not a catastrophe make. To me the analogy is great. The major difference is the genres, but I really don't think it's a big deal.
  15. Whenever someone says "Smug and arrogant" I think of this scene https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30QVKsTFPPs
  16. Because it was popular. Sex and the City was based on a tiny little book (which I loved) but it went on for 6 seasons and 2 movies, didn't it?
  17. I think it's pretty unique that Liane's written a whole slew of books but (in my opinion) her second most recent one, BLL, is her best work. Time and time again I find that fiction writers write a great first book and then their second is a bad copy of the first, which is why I understand there to be a stereotype that sophomoric efforts are poor. Though, again, it's not like I've read so many books compared to the heavy readers I do know, so my experience is limited. I guess it's comparable to somebody like Gillian Flynn, where I love Gone Girl but I really can't get into her other books, and Lord I have tried. I really enjoyed Paula Hawkins' The Girl on the Train and I'm really curious to see how her next one will turn out.
  18. What Alice Forgot. I liked that a lot more than The Husband's Secret, which I didn't like. So far, I REALLY didn't like Truly, Madly, Guilty and I haven't been able to get through any of the others. I've been stuck halfway through The Hypnotist's Love Story forever and I find it really boring.
  19. How Bout That, indeed. It's funny when I read "Clueless" and "Tai" together because one of my favourite movies is Clueless and the third most important character is Tai.
  20. I mean, I like Tai so I'm always going to root for him, but I DO think it's more interesting when he's on because he's one player who doesn't play the game 'right' or the way you're supposed to. It's hysterical to me. He's totally uncontrollable. If he wasn't "in" on anything or if he wasn't playacting whatsoever last episode, wooo boy. He is the loosest of cannons. I can't imagine a cast of like, 18 Andreas. I'm sure a lot of people would like it but I wouldn't.
  21. Cirie is obviously Madeleine. Debbie is obviously Renata. Michaela is Celeste. Hali is Jane. Andrea can be Zoe Kravitz. (No spoilers I promise)
  22. I need this too. I need this badly! He's a work of art. I'm ready to buy this season on DVD!
  23. I also have a coworker who always walks around with that open-mouthed stare, and I always see her when I look at Sarah. It's.... not good.
  24. With the way he looks and moves the last thing Ozzy needs is a personality. He needs me I love how people all know how Ozzy feels inside when all he does is stand around and dive beautifully in the water. The entire essence of Ozzy is hiding everything he's feeling, or possibly feeling nothing at all. Zeke was 'acting' at tribal right? Were Zeke and Tai putting on a play for Sandra? Zeke is so funny. He builds up a lot of goodwill with me I'm just scared he's going to tear it all down again. I never thought I was a fan of Sandra but it was kind of disappointing she didn't win again. I thought she was going to, seriously. I thought she was really deserving of it until this episode. To be had by Tai is not a good look, then again most people in Koah Rong were as well. Thank goodness Cochran didn't join the game; I don't think that would be fair. But I'd be singing another tune if it was some castaway they got rid of this season like Malcolm or Tony. When Tai proves he's smart enough to find two idols, the opinion becomes that the show is so stupid to let him. Credit can't go to him. It's too funny. Does anyone else think that the Debbie stuff was super shady? They just happened to pick the contestant having a mental breakdown to take away with butterfly nets and put her alone on an island with someone who seems very mentally sound, neutral, and calming?
