  1. Idols and advantages are part of the game. They aren't lucky tomatoes being pelted particularly at the players you (general you) hate. Everyone should be looking for idols. Maybe they are, but I doubt it. I don't understand the stubborn type of playing where one relies just on voting and making 'alliances', when there are other aspects to the game, and I don't get admiring that type of play either, let alone preferring it. One should be making all aspects of the game part of their game. It reminds me of Joey Tribbiani saying, "When a blind man gets his sight back, does he walk around like this?" (deliberately closes eyes and feels around in the air)
  2. I get what you mean - yes, they were acting 'performances'. But they all displayed the exact same thing. How she really feels about the person who was voted out. For the first several boots, they were all great for Michaela, they made her happy. For the Zeke one, it made her sad and I do not think she was 'performing'. She had to drop the IDGAF facade. (I don't mind this convo at all! I think it's interesting.) Yes of course. But a lot of us think we can tell the difference. With a bad manipulator , you can usually tell. With a good manipulator, I usually have to wait until I'm manipulated for my eyes to open. In no way do I think Michaela is a manipulator.
  3. People keep talking about how Zeke is a scary player but he actually hasn't proven it IMO. Sure people like him. Sure people connect with him. Sure people talk to him. But has he actually been a scary player? I "get" that Andrea was "scared" of him but this vote she obviously didn't need to be, and next episode could be a whole new ball game. If I think that Andrea was acting out of anger, emotion, or vengeance it doesn't mean that I think that she's stupid or something (? ). I don't think Zeke is some huge scary player. Zeke didn't even scramble this episode. If he did, with any effectiveness, he would not have been voted out. It's the same as last season. Somebody wants to take out Zeke, and does so at the first (?) opportunity. If it ends up being "best" for Andrea's game, then great. But I'm just not sure that's what she was thinking. I guess Sandra and Russell played this way too, and it obviously worked (for Russell, and Sandra this season, only to a point. I would have loved to see what would have happened if Sandra 'kept' Tony around, instead of getting rid of him when he annoyed her the FIRST time.) Michaela could have potentially had a lot of love for Zeke without showing it. Michaela doesn't strike me as somebody who shows a lot of outward love. At the TC, the stakes were high, it was emotional, and she felt it. I don't take Michaela as somebody to over-analyze. Why else do I not think that Michaela was stroking the jury? Because she has never once done that. She eats popcorn when people are voted out, she sips "tea", she APPLAUDS, she lays back smugly. You can see evidence of people hating that here on the thread. It's not winning everyone over. (It's winning ME over, but it's probably not going to win over Tribal Council.) Ergo, Michaela does not give a shit about her jury performances.
  4. Wait a minute, I thought this was according to fact, too! LOL! I watch Million Dollar Listing...
  5. Jury stroking? Michaela? Wow, do I disagree.
  6. Michaela feels loyalty towards Zeke as a friend but decided it's ultimately better for her game/better for herself furthering herself in the game to band with Andrea and the women to vote Zeke out. Michaela was on Millennials vs Gen X season with Zeke.
  7. To me it seemed more about emotion, than the game. Although, Zeke admitted himself, I guess if Andrea targeted Sierra this episode, then next episode Zeke might join with people like Tai and gun for Andrea. So..... I dunno. I really believed Sarah and Michaela's speeches about wanting to stick with Zeke. Sarah only mentioned it like 400 times this episode. I don't understand why they didn't show how these women got convinced to do Andrea's revenge bidding. I guess Cirie and Andrea convinced them that Zeke was a huge threat? Like "Reinventing the wheel". I totally agree with you. It has to be known or a cliche. Not something that nobody has ever said. LOL. These challenges, oh my god.
  8. Oh of course it counts. But reading the comments - it seems that it was Andrea who came up with "Re-inventing". I think Zeke was more a lucky bystander here. Andrea was the catalyst and then I guess Zeke helped figure the rest out..... Kinda wonder how long Zeke and Cirie would have been standing out there if not for Andrea..... Tonight I figured that the person having the closest edit to Adam's from Millennials Vs Gen X season is Aubrey. In that, I keep forgetting she's there. There's not enough Ozzy on this show. What an incredibly boring episode. The only tension I felt was when I was terrified they would vote out Tai, and then really feeling Michaela's breakdown. I've been on luxury cruises, and these "Survivors" eat as much as I did on them...
  9. ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’: How Terry Crews and Andre Braugher Influenced the Racial Profiling Episode https://www.yahoo.com/tv/brooklyn-nine-nine-racial-profiling-police-brutality-episode-163600690.html
  10. Hollywood full of sellouts like the female stars of The Handmaid's Tale downplaying its feminism....
  11. My friends and coworkers are telling me to watch this. One coworker watched 7 episodes this weekend. Oh dear. This sounds like something I'm going to put off because I'll probably like it so much too? LOL. I'm surprised to hear it's so much better than the movie. Wow. TV critics have been loving it too.
  12. That's such an interesting comment. There's a LOT I don't pick up on the episodes the first time through. I didn't understand that the poisoned guy was originally handsome. That reminds me of jokes that my mother and I make about ourselves, that we sometimes still show the confidence of our younger skinnier selves....
  13. Oh wow, I didn't realize that. Thanks.
  14. Maybe he's just cold? That reminds me, we never see Sue anymore. I don't even think I'd mind Mike, personally. I think I always "liked" every character, except for maybe Selina and her daughter and Andrew (I enjoy watching them as characters of course, I just wouldn't find them likeable) -- ugh, and Jonah -- but the humour of the show has been maybe harsh and not as clever as it used to be, and it coincided with the appearance of Richard, who was so novel and sunshiney and wonderful. So then for the past couple of seasons I definitely have felt those stretches where it feels like I'm only watching for him. But these past 2 episodes were pretty good, though.
  15. Also Kurt on The Good Wife and now The Good Fight. This is a very employed actor. Maybe Dan's more woke than we realized. Nothing pathetic about Richard, one of my favourite characters on television ; )
  16. Here's my favourite moments in order of when they happened during the episode. I forgot that Michaela clapped when Debbie was voted out, LOL. Did I forget anything good? Andrea picture in a bigger version as that seemed to be a fave
  17. 100% did, and screamed his name loudest as well. Thanked Harry, then Rachel, then Alec, then screamed NILLLLEEEEEE ROGERSSSSSSSSSSSS.
  18. Everyone seems to take Fallon extremely differently. I wasn't Fallon's biggest fan on SNL (I was the biggest fan of Will Ferrell's and Tracy Morgan's, however) but now that he hosts the Tonight Show, I absolutely love him on it. I think he and Steve Higgins are so funny together. The last time I liked a late night TV show host was Conan in the 90s, and maybe Letterman, but I barely remember (talking 20 years ago). I've never been able to sit through a talk show host's monologue or show otherwise.
  19. I couldn't get into Killing Monica - What did you think of it? I couldn't get into any of the others she wrote either, or I don't remember them. But I've at least attempted all of them.
  20. I was one of them. I miss Jules. Without her, the first 3 episodes were dulllllllllllllllllllllllll as hell. (For me. It's a personal opinion). This one was okay but I couldn't follow Dorinda's crazy train. Thank god I read the forums. I didn't even realize Candace Bushnell was there. Now I have to rewatch. I actually worship her. If you haven't already, read "Sex and the City" the original book. I love it. Also, I loved "Trading Up" and "Four Blondes". Definitely recommend. I used to love Dorinda so much. She looks so much worse this season. Is it really drugs? You'd never "cash" me asking this about her last season. I was crazy about her. Yes, I'm one of the people who thought she was so, so, so beautiful.
  21. The episode he was voted out, he stomped around and huffed and puffed and kicked sand when Andrea and Tai forgot some fake fish or some damn thing. (Their team ended up winning the challenge.) I thought it was pretty unsportsmanlike. I was the only person who I saw that mentioned it, because I watch everything that he does. I also think Michaela being annoyed that she wasn't picked for the RC is just so extremely inoffensive. I personally don't find it a big deal. I think some posters are really extrapolating/speculating with "it must be HELL to live with her". We see these tiny clips of frustration among a lot of nothing. She was really grumpy during the challenge, yes, and I totally see that. I'm not seeing how it'd be hell to live with her. People also seem to be offended by Michaela chumping on popcorn at the TC --- first of all, the other contestants are all staring at Jeff and probably wouldn't notice -- Ozzy and Hali MIGHT notice but everyone's paying attention to the vote anyway. Michaela does these theatrics for the television audience I think. I totally get that the other players, minus a few (Cirie, Maybe Aubry, Zeke, and Andrea?) do not seem to like her. So yeah, I totally get that the social game needs work. She's not the best at being fake. Sarah has the slack-jawed stare, Aubry has her "I'm really listening" face. Michaela might need to cultivate something like that. Since she's our social media maven, she should try and act more like the Thinking Face Emoji: quizzical eyebrow, finger on chin.
  22. No; this is always a very popular opinion here.
  23. I just wanted to make a cute joke. It was irresistible. A typo is not embarrassing at all.
  24. I wonder what angel sent Michaela to us, too ; )
