  1. I don’t think it’s Grace, unless she does the whole goodbye thing from offscreen. Teilor Grubbs isn’t in the episode cast list, which is part of the press release I linked to. I was thinking more like something happens to Chin, Kono, or Max & they die offscreen. Otherwise, the only characters I could see who are expendable are Adam, who’s been said to be expendable by many since Grace Park left the show & Kono was written out (except maybe for his organized crime-related knowledge; especially about the Yakuza); or Jerry, who was originally introduced as this weird, geeky, conspiracy theorist friend of Chin’s we met at their High School reunion (1 of those “milestone year” anniversaries too, as I remember—it was the episode where the fans/viewers got to vote on certain [mostly pretty minor] elements of the crime part of the ep), whose “expertise” later became useful on certain cases leading him to be named, at least unofficially, as a “Consultant” to the team & eventually an actual member of it.
  2. The obits I’ve read said she was only 36 years old. 36 or 39, it’s still too young.
  3. From WGN-TV Chicago: KFC Starts Testing First Plant-Based Fried “Chicken” with Beyond Meat For those possibly interested, the product test is/will be going on at a KFC in the Atlanta area (I believe the article said it’s actually in Smyrna, GA), near SunTrust Park. According to this article, the testing site for the KFC Beyond Meat products is the store at 2637 Cobb Parkway SE, Smyrna, GA—just in case someone reading this lives there/near there (or might know someone who does) & might wanna give it a try. It comes in nuggets or boneless wings & can be tossed in Nashville Hot, Buffalo, or Honey BBQ sauce.
  4. I heard somewhere that the sandwiches are so popular that some Popeye’s stores are allegedly thinking of taking them OFF their menus because of the huge lines they’re attracting—as in some stores apparently think the product is more trouble than it’s worth, despite the amount of money & customer traffic the sandwich brings into their stores.
  5. From WGN-TV Chicago: Former Bears Running Back Cedric Benson Reported Dead in Motorcycle Crash; He Was 36
  6. According to an obit/article I read about his death, he died of cancer.
  7. Start TV is also available as a channel on YouTube TV, which is a free TV streaming (I guess you’d say) app I have on my iPhone & you can get through the App Store &/or Google Play. I’m not sure how, exactly, you’d watch the content without the app though; I’ve never tried.
  8. Regarding the bolded: Joan of Arcadia is on Start TV. Only it airs at something like 2AM (Eastern), I think the linked page says.
  9. They might’ve added her to the cast because Meaghan is apparently also joining the cast of Supergirl this season—though it doesn’t sound like she’s leaving H50. Meaghan seems to be going to do both shows simultaneously. Like when Masi Oka did H50 & Heroes Reborn, the Heroes reboot, back in H50 S6 (I think it was). Meaghan will be playing Braniac 5 on Supergirl (or a female version of said character), a character her real life brother, Jesse, also apparently has been playing there.
  10. It’s not currently on the schedule, but 7th Heaven most recently aired on the UP cable network. They put it on & take it off again whenever they feel like it. They also still have the rights to it apparently; it’s still listed among their shows but just not airing on the network as I write this.
  11. They’re saying on social media that he was on suicide watch & being evaluated daily after the original incident; then somebody decided, after I don’t know how long, he didn’t need the suicide watch anymore. So he was taken off of it. That led us to what happened this morning, whether he died of his own hand or somebody else did it & framed him for the deed.
  12. Because of what made Epstein famous (at least most recently) & caused him to end up being held in jail in NYC without bail at the time of his death, this is also being discussed in the Harvey Weinstein-related thread.
  13. From NBC News: Rosie Ruiz, Boston Marathon Course-Cutter, Dead at 66 If you don’t know her, or the headline’s too vague, in 1980 she was declared the Women’s Division winner of the Boston Marathon. Then her title was rescinded 8 days later, after it was learned she actually only ran a certain portion of the end of the race. She subsequently said she would run the race again, in full, to prove she could really do it but she never did.
  14. Regarding the bolded, Will has already had surgery at least once (& an MRI under sedation). So has Zoey. In an early season of the show, soon after they brought him home to Houston, Will had his tonsils & adenoids removed, tubes put in his ears (which was hopefully supposed to help alleviate his hearing issues) &, as I said before, I believe he also had an MRI under sedation (which I think was supposed to check the status of his skeletal dysplasia). They devoted a whole episode to that, if not 2. He had the surgery at the hospital in Delaware, I think it is, where their dwarfism specialist doctors are. Will also got to have a special day in Delaware, or wherever the hospital is, the day before the surgery. He could eat whatever he wanted all day, even if it was more junk food & less nutritious food than Jen (at least) would’ve liked. Will was also going through 1 of his phases of liking cars, or some other form of transportation, at the time & Bill & Jen took him to see a classic model car, or whatever it was. And during all the procedures Jen was going back & forth between “well-informed doctor” & “mother having a freak out” about everything. Once the procedures were over, Jen stayed in the hospital with Will until he was released a day or 2 later. In an ep filmed & aired since the move to Florida, Will also underwent a sleep study, to check on his sleep apnea, at the same hospital where Jen works. She stayed overnight with him then, too. The study showed Will needs to wear the headgear when he sleeps for at least another year, according to a voice over or talking head by Jen in the same episode. Zoey’s also had at least tubes put in her ears (not sure about her tonsils removed) & she also had sleep studies (& was diagnosed with sleep apnea, but—as Bill or Jen said in. the ep about Will’s sleep study (I think)—Zoey has managed to grow out of her sleep apnea & she doesn’t have to sleep in the headgear anymore. As someone else said, somewhere in this forum, the producers probably didn’t show Zoey going through the ear tubes procedure or the sleep apnea-related stuff because they’d already shown Will going through the same things & perhaps they thought seeing Zoey undergo them too would be redundant. I think the only time they “repeated” something medical about the kids was when they showed Will & Zoey going together for their annual checkups with the skeletal dysplasia specialists after Zoey came home from India. And they probably showed that because it was Zoey’s first exam & Jen & Bill would learn the status/severity of Zoey’s dysplasia (as would the viewers) during the exam.
  15. Regarding the bolded, with all due respect, Kate is married; she doesn’t have a partner in the “unmarried but in a relationship” sense. In fact, Zoey and Will were in Kate’s wedding, which was apparently around 2 years ago now, according to the date on the linked article. For the part about the wedding, scroll down until you see an ad with the caption “Promote Healthier Lives”. The paragraph under that talks about Zoey & Will being in Kate (& her now husband Trey)’s wedding. Under that paragraph is a pic from Jen’s Instagram, of Zoey in a frilly white dress, & white shoes, like female members of a wedding party might wear. Jen said in the caption that Zoey was Kate’s flower girl. Under the pic of Zoey there’s another ad, followed by a pic of Will looking very handsome in a tux with a deep pink carnation(?). It’s also from Jen’s Instagram. The caption doesn’t say what role Will might’ve played in the wedding party; it just says “Handsome Will! Ready for a beautiful wedding!” I think I heard Will was the ring bearer though.
  16. It must be my lucky week, or something. I went back to surfing after posting the previous post, with the trailer for Matthew’s upcoming movie, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, where his character is hired/assigned to write a magazine profile of beloved PBS children’s show host Mister Rogers. Shortly after, I was lucky enough to find an article from Entertainment Weekly, which was about current/upcoming movies that are based on magazine articles, with the original articles linked. The article A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is based on is among those written about & linked; so I thought I’d share. It’s titled Can You Say... Hero?, From the November, 1998, Issue of Esquire.
  17. As I posted probably way upthread now, Matthew’s in the new movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, which is based on the magazine article resulting from the interaction between the beloved late PBS children’s show host Fred Rogers, of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, & a writer who was assigned/hired to write about him (I can’t remember if the writer works for the magazine or was hired as a freelance writer). 2-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks plays Mister Rogers & our own Emmy Award winner, Matthew Rhys, plays the writer. The (first?) trailer for the movie recently came out. Tom & Matthew have about equal screen time in it, I think. The movie’s scheduled to come out at Thanksgiving, according to the beginning of the trailer; the end of the trailer was a little more vague, only saying it was coming out in November, 2019.
  18. Dang... this has been a bad day for losing celebrities. May they all Rest In Peace. Some trivia about a couple of the newly, & dearly, departed in case it wasn’t mentioned in whatever obit(s) you read &/or linked to: David Hedison was the father-in-law of 2-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster through her marriage to Hedison’s daughter, photographer (& sometime actress—she was in The L Word, among other things) Alexandra Hedison. Television personality & journalist Arthel Neville, who worked in both national television (she was a co-host of Extra, & of E!, CNN & Fox News programming) & at local affiliates of various US TV networks, I think mainly in the Southern California area, & who is apparently currently a weekend anchor for Fox News, was the daughter of the late Art Neville.

  20. From Hawaii Five-0 (2010 Reboot): In Episode 205, Maʻemaʻe (Clean), Kono has been set up as a participant in a then-still unsolved theft from the HPD’s Asset Forfeiture Locker (for which her fellow cop/Five-0 member/cousin, Chin Ho Kelly is also under suspicion as a participant). She’s also been kicked off of both the HPD & the Five-0 Task Force because of her alleged participation in this theft. But this turns out to be a cover as Kono, unbeknownst to Five-0 Boss Lt. Cmdr. Steve McGarrett, has been “creatively & secretly acquired” by HPD Internal Affairs cop Lieutenant Vince Fryer to help him infiltrate (now that she’s dirty too) & bust a gang of dirty cops (with a threat that if Kono chooses not to participate, Fryer will go after the entire Five-0 task force). During the episode, when an action Kono takes against the dirty cops backfires, the remainder of Five-0 becomes aware of Kono’s participation in the undercover op & forces themselves on Fryer, Kono, & their undercover team, in order to assure Kono’s safety in the resolution of the op. Once the op is ended with most, if not all, of the dirty cops being apprehended &/or killed, there’s this really “HELL, YEAH!” scene between McGarrett & Fryer: McGarrett: Hey, Fryer? Fryer: Yeah? McGarrett: Listen (McGarrett punches Fryer in the face). McGarrett: Nobody messes with my team, all right? Fryer: (Licks the blood off his lip) Duly noted, Commander.

  22. Here’s another pic/video I found on Jorge’s Instagram. The caption actually says he & the woman he’s with just got back from their honeymoon, a whirlwind tour of Greece. The video also looks like it was taken in Greece.
