  1. Yes she will. If/when we get renewed for Season 10, maybe Taryn can be on the show a little more often now since Orange is the New Black, in which she also appeared, has ended its run (she posted on her social media that she was sorry she had to miss their series’ Wrap Party because it conflicted with when she needed to be on the H50 set in Honolulu to film Episode 23). Also, I find it interesting that, when introducing herself on The Worst Cooks’ in America: Celebrity Edition, she gave her OITNB credit, but didn’t mention her H50 role as well. While it’s interesting she didn’t mention both roles (as I think many/most actors/actresses would’ve), it’s understandable since I’m pretty sure Taryn was a regular on OITNB & she only recurred on H50 (though I’d swear I read she was originally supposed to have been a regular character, but I never read why she was bumped to a recurring character), so she probably figured most people watching The Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition would have recognized her from playing Pennsatucky in OITNB than from any of her other roles
  2. I’ve read in other places that Morgan appears to have put on some weight, perhaps, &/or that she’s indulged too much in cosmetic skin filler injections (but apparently not actually had a facelift/other surgery) since her heyday when she appeared in most, if not all, of the nighttime soaps.

  4. From ET Online: Stefanie Sherk, Wife of Actor Demián Bichir, Dies at 37 The death has been ruled a suicide. Causes of death were anoxic encephalopathy (lack of oxygen to the brain), asphyxia, & drowning.
  5. It looks to me like a screenshot from an episode; probably taken in Cliff Barnes’ (Kercheval’s character’s) office. Kercheval was born (& apparently died) in Clinton, IN—a small town near Indianapolis; but he grew up in Wolcottville, IN, another small town northwest of my hometown & between it & the Elkhart/South Bend, IN area.
  6. From TV Guide: CBS Renews NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans.
  7. Here’s info on Katz Networks. It seems they’re not a commercial or cable network; if you went looking in your listings for Katz Networks you wouldn’t find that name among your channels, but they’re involved with other networks somehow. I think that’s what the linked article said, anyway.
  8. I just saw a Facebook post from Walmart, which says they have a 4-canister bundle of Planters Cheez Balls for $7.45 (bundle price, without any possible taxes, shipping & handling fees, etc.). The Walmart ad is connected at the link.
  9. I’m aware everybody gets older. No shaming intended. Since Morgan’s been out of the spotlight for so long (or it seems to me she has), I was just meaning to comment that she looks so different now it surprised me when I saw her. I guess some people really do change more than others over time. Which was probably another part of my point.
  10. From TV by the Numbers: Last Man Standing Renewed for Eighth Season by Fox It’ll be the eighth total season for the show, & the second on Fox since they revived it this season. It previously aired for 6 seasons on ABC before being canceled & sitting out last season when a new deal to continue it on another network, cable channel, or streaming service could not be reached.
  11. They aren’t available yet, but you’ll soon be able to get chocolate-stuffed marshmallows for your s’mores-making (they eliminate the step of adding the chocolate bar quarter) & snacking pleasure. They’ll be available at Walmarts nationwide on April 28th.

  14. Thanks for the correction/info. I edited/deleted the link. I wish whomever keeps reposting old obits in original or other sources like they’re new (& I know there’re probably multiple people who do it) would stop doing it & confusing everyone. I didn’t remember he had already died, so that’s why I posted (& I’d bet I probably posted the real obit originally too).

  17. I’m watching Food Network. A few minutes ago they ran a promo for the new season of The Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition, which starts its new season on Sunday night at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central (I think). Among the celebrity participants this season is our very own Mary Ann McGarrett, Taryn Manning (also Morgan Fairchild, who honestly no longer looks as beautiful as she was back when you pretty much couldn’t avoid her on primetime TV back in the ‘80s & early/mid ‘90s).

  20. I wonder how the real-life singer Jennifer Nettles (lead singer of the country music group Sugarland) might feel about having her name appropriated for 1 of the characters/victims in this episode? A similar thing, only not using the name of a celebrity, also happened in a 3-part Law & Order episode (for you big L&O fans, it was in the 3-episode arc where Curtis & Briscoe & Jack McCoy & Jamie Ross kept flying back & forth between NYC & LA to arrest the person responsible for killing a movie studio bigwig—the murder occurred in LA, but the killer dismembered the victim & got rid of various body parts & the murder weapon while flying in a private plane between the coasts). In the episode involved, the writer(s) very coincidentally used the name of my neighbor’s daughter, whom I’ve known for, like, over 40 years (wow!) as the name of the movie studio bigwig/murder victim.
