  1. Mediamass likes to publish erroneous news items. But I got the photo from (& there are 3 others on) Jorge’s Instagram page, pronouncedhorhay; so I would think it really happened. Why would Jorge post a series of pics of people (including Jorge & a woman) dressed in wedding attire & talk as if he got married, if he didn’t? Plus, on the front page of the Mediamass site there’s a blurb saying something about lesbian women’s tennis legend Martina Navratilova just recently having been secretly married. Ms. Navratilova has been married for 5 years!
  2. I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile, but it took some time to find a reasonably good picture (especially since, in the clearest ones, Jorge & his best man/groomsmen were all wearing [I think pull on overhead] gorilla masks). Anyway, a few weeks ago—either at the end of June or the beginning of July—Jorge was married in Dublin, Ireland. Unfortunately, that’s about all the info I have on the event. I haven’t been able to find such things as her name, the date, etc. Anyway... Congratulations to the happy couple!
  3. From Extra: TV Co-Stars Bradley Whitford and Amy Landecker Tie the Knot Congratulations to the happy couple! After having been engaged for a little over a year, Bradley & his Transparent co-star (though they never shared any scenes), actress Amy Landecker, were married Tuesday in Santa Barbara, CA. It’s the second marriage for both; Bradley has 3 children, Frances, George & Mary Louisa from his first marriage.
  4. From USA Today: Russell Smith, Amazing Rhythm Aces Singer, Dead at 70
  5. Congratulations to Bradley Whitford on receiving his 6th Emmy nomination earlier today (July 16th)! This year Bradley’s nominated in the Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series category, for his portrayal of Commander Joseph Lawrence in The Handmaid’s Tale, which streams on Hulu (&, in a “6 Degrees” connection, stars Elisabeth Moss who, of course, played the youngest First Daughter, Zoey Patricia Bartlet, in TWW). The Creative Arts Emmys, which include presentation of the Guest Acting Emmy Awards, are supposed to air on the FXX cable channel; I think on September 21, 2019. Also, look for Bradley’s new NBC sitcom, Perfect Harmony, which will air on Thursday nights at 8:30PM Eastern/7:30PM Central, premiering on September 26, 2019. Bradley stars in it & is 1 of the Executive Producers. This kinda snuck up on me, until recently, even though the new TV schedule was announced in May.
  6. CoziTV shows a number of old hour-long shows, mostly in the police procedural/detective, medical, & mystery genre. They currently show (that I’m positive of; there might be more): Emergency!; Hart to Hart; the original Tom Selleck version of Magnum, P.I.; Murder, She Wrote; the original Raymond Burr version of Ironside (NBC did a “blink & you missed it” reboot, which basically only borrowed the title, premise & lead character’s name from the original & took nothing else, like the setting or supporting characters’ names, starring Blair Underwood, a few years ago); The Rockford Files, & Little House on the Prairie. Until a week or so ago, CoziTV was showing Quincy, M.E. Right now it’s also showing Kojak & The Six Million Dollar Man. They also show 2 Adam-12 episodes, from Noon-1PM Eastern, weekdays, since that’s only a half-hour long show, even though it is a cop show. And they also show comedies like Frasier & the US version of The Office.
  7. COZI-TV just did a schedule change (I don’t think it’s on our cable system... yet... but I have the Hulu & YouTube TV apps on my phone & they carry it). Quincy, M.E. was just dropped; I think for Adam-12 reruns from 12 Noon-1PM Eastern. Those are followed by Emergency! reruns from 1-2PM Eastern. I last saw My Three Sons on AntennaTV (which my cable provider carries). But it’s not on there now & I can’t remember how long ago it was. MeTV, another similar channel, was added as a digital subchannel to 1 of our local channels in May. But so far our cable provider doesn’t carry it, nor has it been added to either Hulu or YouTube TV.
  8. From TV by the Numbers.Zap2It.com: The Upcoming Sixth Season of ABC’s ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ Will Be the Series’ Last
  9. From ESPN: Jim Bouton, Ex-Yankee and ‘Ball Four’ Author, Dead at 80
  10. I Googled but everything I found said “No cause of death given”.
  11. I know Touched by an Angel was on the Hallmark Channel. I think Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman was too. Those were the last networks I either saw them carried or advertised on.
  12. From USA Today: Disney Star Cameron Boyce’s Cause of Death Is Deferred ‘Pending Further Investigation’
  13. I’ve read that his death was post-seizure related.
  14. Yes, that was a great performance. And then there was the character’s son, who tried to have his father declared incompetent over the whole thing & who, according to the father, would marry the sort of flashy lawyer, Shambala Green. She was a recurring character lawyer the son hired to get his father declared incompetent.
  15. This is what was posted to Ruth Buzzi’s Twitter page about the death of her longtime friend & co-star, Arte Johnson.
  16. Here’s Arte Johnson’s obit from WGN-TV, Chicago. I’d swear he died a few years ago, but it seems he didn’t. He was another among the celebrities I was fortunate enough to meet through working with The March of Dimes (we did a telethon together in either Knoxville or Chattanooga, TN, years ago). He was a very nice, & funny, man. May he RIP.
  17. For those who might be interested in the Hawaiian culture... From Popculture.com: Watch ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Star Beth Chapman’s Full Hawaiian Memorial Service
  18. From Hawaii News Now: ‘Dog’ Chapman Remembers Wife Who ‘Fought Hard’ Against Cancer Diagnosis
  19. Thanks for the correction. I removed the post & apologized. You’d think CNN would know better about not reposting old obits.
  20. Sorry... Nothing to see here now. CNN reposted an old obit. You’d think they’d know better. My apologies.
  21. From TMZ: ‘ALF’ Star Max Wright Dead at 75 From Cancer
  22. The filming dates for Season 10 of H50 have been scheduled & announced. There are also 2 breaks scheduled during holidays in the announced timeframe, but the dates of the holiday breaks weren’t announced (though I’m guessing they’ll be definitely Christmas-New Year’s, for 1 holiday break &, maybe, probably Thanksgiving for the other break).
  23. Beth Chapman, reality star, bounty hunter, & wife of fellow reality star, bounty hunter, & recurring H50 cast member Duane “Dog” Chapman (aka “Dog the Bounty Hunter”) died earlier today at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu after being admitted to their ICU & placed in a medically-induced coma this past weekend, due to (complications from) Stage IV Lung Cancer. She was 51 years old.
