  1. Actor Gary Dubin (best-known as Danny's best friend Punky Lazar in The Partridge Family) Dead at Age 57 From Bone Cancer. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/gary-dubin-dead-partridge-family-938179
  2. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, the world's longest reigning monarch, dead at age 88. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2016/10/13/thai-king-worlds-longest-reigning-monarch-gravely-ill/91985688/
  3. Three hours if you're only counting the Continental US States. Respectfully if you include our 49th state, Alaska, there's 4 hours time difference between there & DC, & there's a 6-hour time difference between our 50th state, Hawaii, & DC. So there could be as much of a 6-hour time difference between DC & wherever he represents in Congress (Hawaii & Alaska don't always have non-white Senators &/or Members of the House of Representatives).
  4. I thought she mentioned being (with their kids at a mall) in "Eugene" when the bombing happened, which is in Oregon (they were looking for a dress for some event involving 1 of their kids)--at least I'm assuming she meant that Eugene. If she was in Oregon (not all Congressional spouses/families make a permanent move to DC or its MD/VA suburbs when their spouses take national political office; some stay in the family home out of state so as not to pull the kid out of school in midyear, or so as to maintain a sense of normalcy for the family, etc.), there would be a 3-hour time change between there & DC, (6PM, or slightly later, in Oregon to 9PM or later in DC). So the malls in the western US would still be open for shopping. And, given that it was now a week (or however many days they mentioned, somewhere toward the beginning in a scene with President Kirkman) later, she would've been able to get to her husband's side in DC by the day the scene was set in.
  5. Daytime & Film Actress Patricia Barry Dies at 93. http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-91693233/ Pro Skateboarder & Model Dylan Rieder Dead at Age 28 From Complications of Leukemia. http://m.eonline.com/news/801620/pro-skateboarder-and-model-dylan-rieder-dies-at-28-after-battle-with-leukemia
  6. It's/it was Joosten, with an EN not an IN. But you got close. And she seemed like an awesome lady. I didn't watch DH, but I loved her as the President's Executive Secretary, Mrs. Landingham, on The West Wing.
  7. The Mothership Wednesday Marathon Schedule for October 12, 2016 is: WE TV: 10AM Eastern/9AM Central until 4PM Eastern/3PM Central. ION TELEVISION: 11AM Eastern/10AM Central until 1AM Eastern/12 Midnight Central, Thursday Morning October 13, 2016.
  8. Josh & Hrishi (& apparently the company which produced the lapel pin) are now selling a T-shirt to go along with the lapel pin. The graphic on the shirt relates to "the signal" that was created to let Toby know if the problems with his brother's space shuttle flight were cleared up, or not, during Jed's ill-fated televised town hall meeting at the original Newseum site in Rosslyn,VA. The only thing is, the shirt (or at least this batch of shirts) will only be available for 2 weeks. So if you think you want it, you gotta get it NOW. The details are here: https://cottonbureau.com/products/the-signal Also... Emily Procter is on this week's podcast, talking about Ainsley Hayes with Josh & Hrishi.
  9. Small correction, if I may? I'm 99.9% sure that Jade's legal last name is De Laurentiis-Thompson (Thompson being her father's last name), not just De Laurentiis (which may not have a space in it; I keep forgetting if there is 1 or not). Her birth name is Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson, Jade being the Anglicized version (or a form of it) of her mother's name, Giada. But I get that De Laurentiis identifies whose kid she is better than Thompson does.
  10. Len's in England doing the "Mothership" show Strictly Come Dancing right now. He's of the age where it's easier for him to stay there during that show instead of commuting back & forth to do both shows (which Bruno does--commutes & does both shows). The "suits" at ABC & the show seem OK with Len doing it, so it doesn't bother me either.
  11. It's only the 4th week of the season, but right now the Cancellation Bear at Zap2It.com/TV By the Numbers says H50 is "Likely to be renewed by May, 2017" (as opposed to their usual dire predictions of an end of season cancellation as soon as the season premiere aired the last few seasons). Their change in attitude is apparently attributed to what they call the "solid" start the show's had in the ratings so far this season. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/renewcancel/cancel-bear-vs-cbs-week-3-comeback-time-for-hawaii-five-0/ On the other hand, TVLine says what it always does about a cancellation notice for the show: Could go either way. http://tvline.com/2016/10/03/renewed-tv-shows-2017-renewal-scorecard-cancelled-series/2/
  12. To be fair, we don't know how she got that board or how long she might've had it, since that wasn't important to the story, though it probably is unlikely she bought it for herself. Perhaps it was a gift from well-meaning family or friends who were trying to show her she could still surf even though she'd lost her legs (it could've even been a gift from Kono, on the day they went surfing--though not much earlier than that since, as I remember, Rosey & Kono were supposed to have lost touch for however many years until Rosey asked Duke to call her/she called Kono herself after she ended up in jail). It's also possible it might've been rented/borrowed somewhere/somehow (I'd think Kono still had connections in the surfing world & could somehow get Rosey hooked up with a board that would meet her needs, if necessary; after all, there are groups that teach "special needs" people how to surf--Scott Caan is a big supporter of a number of them in real life & volunteers his time to work with them when he can).
  13. Husband #2's last name is spelled Schaech. At least you were close! I think he's an actor. I thought they mentioned Jana's daughter, Jolie Ray, in a rehearsal package or at least in passing. She's only a few months old. Jana blogged for People magazine about her pregnancy, & I think she's blogging for them (or another media outlet) about DWTS too; maybe I read about the baby in her DWTS blog. Ha! Watching DWTS now, & she mentions the baby in tonight's rehearsal package. So there's definitely a baby mention tonight.
  14. Thanks for the correction. It makes more sense that Trump was married at the time, given the "I forgive him" (I think that's basically what she said) statement Melania Trump issued since the tape was leaked.
  15. Billy Bush was married at the time (& still is, as far as I know). Trump was between marriages, but engaged to his current wife, Melania, at the time the tape was made. I read on my Twitter earlier that Billy Bush isn't being fired from Today for his part in the tape. Presumably under the "He wasn't working for us at the time (he was still hosting Access Hollywood, along with Nancy O'Dell whom Trump talked about unsuccessfully trying to put the make on in the tape), so why should we fire him for it?" clause. Which is stupid.
  16. Thanks. Much appreciated. If the 25 S6 ep threads could at least get moved, it would help compact the forum. S7 started 3 weeks ago (& has 4 ep threads up already).
  17. Thanks. That's how I think I hear it & how I always try to write it. By the way, would you know who the Mod is for Hawaii Five-0 (2010)? I'm wondering when/if they're gonna archive the ep (& other) threads specific for last season (Season 6).
  18. Jane Lynch Tweeted really early this morning (Friday) that they've started rehearsing the music for the new season. https://mobile.twitter.com/janemarielynch/status/784251758964936704?p=v
  19. Was Jamie's ex-husband's last name Gordon, with a D, or Gorton, with a T? Everything I've seen has his first name as Neil, (like Neil Diamond), but his last name changes from Gordon to Gorton, depending on the source. And some sources (like the L&O Wiki/Wikia[?]) even switch between Gordon & Gorton in the middle of his character page! I've always thought his name was Neil Gordon (with a D).
  20. OK... Upthread I mentioned (in case there are any Elizabeth Röhm fans here) that Elizabeth Röhm will be guest starring in the October 7th episode of Hawaii Five-0, playing a police psychiatrist named Dr. Madison Gray. That episode airs tomorrow night, at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central Time on CBS. And according to the press release for next week's episode, it looks like that role will last for at least 2 episodes. Elizabeth will also be in next Friday's episode of Hawaii Five-0, airing Friday October 14th, at 9PM Eastern/8PM Central time, on CBS.
  21. Josh Elliott is now an anchor for CBSN (Elaine Quijano, who moderated the Vice-Presidential candidates' Debate, is also a CBSN anchor) which, as I remember, is the online/digital news service for CBS News. I think Sam Champion is also now working on digital/online/special content for The Weather Channel.
  22. Emily wasn't named Chief Advisor to the President. She's either a Senior Advisor or Special Advisor to the President (I forget which). They're real, significant, titles in the White House staff (although most of the President's staff has 1 of those titles in addition to whatever position they were actually appointed to). I'm just happy they finally have people/staff members in conversations/meetings with Kirkman saying "Thank you, Mr. President." at the end of their conversations/meetings, as is dictated by protocol.
  23. My McDonald's All-Day Breakfast "thing" is the Bacon, Egg & Cheese McGriddles. I had 2 (how many I usually get) about a week ago. Yum!
